System of specified file not found: hpzpnp40.exe

I am running Windows 7 and whenever I try to install software/drivers for my HP Photosmart D110 printer I get an error "system cannot find the file specified" and the file "hpzpnp40.exe".  Help?

To correct this error, do what suggests Gordon_H except write the name of the 7z folder when you get the error. Then follow the Gordon_H until it's time to reinstall the software. Rename the folder 7z on your desktop for the noted 7z folder name when you got the error. Copy this file to the directory folder and then run the installation program.

It seems that many have encountered this problem and support HP people suggest a ton of convoluted potential solutions.

I got the same error when you try to install the full feature software and drivers for my printer C6380.

The answer I found after hours of frustration was pretty simple and reflects the total absence of quality programming or tests that HP has done to produce the installation of the software.

The answer is the name of a temporary file in the temporary file directory.  The banner above the error message indicates the file that triggered the error message and provides the path indicating the name of the folder that is the cuprit (starting with 7z...) It must have been hard coded in the installation procedure. The solution is simply to close the facility and go into Windows Explorer, rename the folder in the temporary directory to the hard-coded name and try again.  I didn't have to go through all the steps recommended uninstall they recommend (btw... they no longer work).

    Hope this helps

I'm willing to try to fix it with help.

The file belongs to the ParetoLogic data recovery software. If you have uninstalled this program, a reference has been left in the start. You can remove it as follows:

Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

  • Play a suspended virtual machine, vmdk file not found or the specified file is not a virtual disk

Hi, I have a problem that I can't solve with the usual methods.

    My data

    • software: VMVware Workstation 6.5.1 build 126130

    • Host: NB HP Compaq 2510p with 2 GB of ram

    • OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 5.12.2600

I have a Win XP Pro SP3 computer virtual created for my work:

    • 6-5 - 7.0 VM workstation

    • RAM: 512 MB

    • Windows XP Pro operating system

    • Processors: 1

    • CDRom: Autodetect

    • Floppy: Autodetect

    • USB: present

    • Sound card: Autodetect

    • Display: Autodetect

    • HARD drive is divided into 2 GB files

The problem lies in the HARD disk:

    • 40 GB declared

    • 0 MB recognized by the system

My VM was functional complete. After a suspension

    • The State remains suspended

    • When I try to resume, a pop-up window will appear "file not found: IATROS VM.vmdk" go through it...

the vmdk file exists (see my attached files).

When I try to see the features on the parameters, appears "the specified file is not a virtual disk" and all data in the pop-up are unknown or missing.

    I tryied to use the vmware_vdiskmanager with the command vmware - vdiskmanager.exe - R 'e:\appo1\IATROS VM.vmdk' in vain also.

I think that it is necessary to recreate a file descriptor for disc divided into 2 GB files.

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsotes/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1026266

but, if we compare the contents of the VMDK file with the discussion in the article, there seems to be no problem of format or content.

There are suggestions to solve the problem?

    can I await your response?

  • RUNDLL32. EXE. FILE NOT FOUND...

    Hello

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?
2 have had changes made prior to this issue?

    Try the following steps:

    Step 1:

Put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to run programs
    a. put your system in start mode state minimum helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

    b. refer to the KB Microsoft article below for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in XP:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot state"?
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in the "steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state" section in the article above.

    Step 2:

If the problem persists, I highly recommend to run the Virus Scan. Then follow link below

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Lsass.exe - Unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because the oleaut32.dll file not found

    Original title: oleaut32.dll xp

My system XP pro/sp3 does not start normally, without danger or with the original sys disk. I get a message
Isass.exe - Unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because the oleaut32.dll file not found. reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
However, I can't in the operating system to do a re-install.
    Any suggestions?

If c:\windows\system32\oleaut32.dll is missing, you will see messages like this:

Lsass.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because the OLEAUT32.dll file not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

If the missing file is the only problem, you might have to do a reinstall to fix.

There should be a copy of Oleaut32.dll in the c:\windows\system32\dllcache folder, so if you can get in the XP Recovery Console, you can just replace it - then you are going to have to start on something to do.

Once started in the XP Recovery Console, you must enter this command at the prompt:

    Copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\oleaut32.dll c:\windows\system32

If the file is not in the dllcache folder (it should really be), depending on your installation, this command can work:

    Copy c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386\oleaut32.dll c:\windows\system32

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace any existing file.

I don't know what the Microsoft Support Engineer think that KB307545 or KB922371 will help you.  I think that the MSE is just throw a few things to try and some links.  You don't describe symptoms consistent with the need to use one of these methods.   I would say the MSE has never seen this problem before, made no attempt to reproduce the problem, and has no idea how to fix this.

If your CD does not start in the Recovery Console, or if you don't know what kind of CD do you have to do a CD of XP Recovery Console and boot on it (no media XP required).

    Here's how:

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

After replacing the file, remove the CD and type 'exit' to leave the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

This file is required to power on this virtual machine. If this file has been moved, specify the new location

    The. VMX file stated that:

    scsi0:1.filename = "C:\Share\Copy of the drive\Windows of VM XP C XP Professional model 50 GB-000005-cl1-000014 - cl1.vmdk.

If this VMDK file is specified is no longer in the VMX file, where Workstation becomes the name of the file when it produces the error message?  Why it generates this error message?

The steps that I've taken to try to resolve this problem:

    1. close and re-open my computer.

2 reboot the host (Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials)

I am answering my own question here.  The problem turned out to be in the virtual machine. VMSD file.  The file apparently contains a 'roadmap' of snapshots and registrations for the drive there, I removed from the. VMX file.  After removing the references to these pictures inside of the. VMSD file, I still met a configuration error because the number of snapshots is always set to '2 '.  This isn't the number of snapshots that you would normally think during a snapshot; on the contrary, it is the number of virtual drives for which there are snapshots.  After making the following change:

    snapshot.numSnapshots = '1 '.

the virtual machine starts to the right without any problem.
