  Via F8 safe mode is not an option for you, try a startup repair and / or a system restore using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft

  Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

For the 6 months charges I couldn't play all the music in the music library of the media player. the error message would say my music files have been damaged or corrupted. However, when I did my weekly back, a message appeared that said that some files could not be backed up.   I find it strange that "file corruption" has been cited again but when I try recommended fixes, nothing changes, just as it was when I had problems with the music. Help, please

  We need to check the BIOS of the machine and make sure that the CD drive is the first boot device.

  You can perform a SFC scan and check if it lists any problems.
  To Perform a Scan SFC -

  a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
  b. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
  c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
  d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
  e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

  Then I tried to boot from Windows XP CD but it signals that it has no hard drive, although Rescue and Recovery can apparently go to folder/file structure.

  Hello. I was working to clone my disk to a USB HDD (included). I think I can inadvertently done the USB HDD (empty; no OS) a boot disk. Now, I get the "there has been a change in software/hardware to the system; Winload is missing or corrupted"error and does not start for Vista Business. I can get to quick system via the Recovery Console, but it does show X: and doesn't let me change to C:. It does not show me the C: drive for repair.
