Windows sizeless on reboot

I got the habit to have firefox save all tabs and windows loading and then save automatically the next time that the computer turns on. I leave firefox market with windows 2 or 3 and 5 tabs on average at home during the shutdown, it was safe, well that sometimes slows down the shutdown process (but is not the issue).

the problem is that every once in a while some times windows will be no size... literally as a window size of 1 x 1 which is physically impossible to do the last time I checked manually. It's extremely frustrating, because in windows 7, how to maximize a window is more 'hidden' than previous versions of windows. (mouse over the icon to display the list of windows, made a right click THEN to access the traditional menu of size or minimize).

Another thing happens, and more specific to the version of firefox that I write like (11.0), sometimes the ghosts of causes tabs. It is more difficult to explain, the tab is still there but will not display in the bar. tab ghost 'ed is still accessible via the tab select the next (or the new 'first' tab) and key' ing arrow above it, or it is accessed through the list of all tabs or tab groups function (which i never use unfortunately sorry btw). an indicator that this Act happened, is that the 'do a new tab' button/icon that hangs out in the tab bar, will be on the far left instead of the far right (by default unless it is really possible to move it to this side... but I don't want that).

Please also check in a new profile. If the problem persists after closing Firefox via file > exit, you can request a report here, after having eliminated other possible factors like the interference of security software. Please also note that bookmarks, preferences, etc. are all implemented separately through separate files/functionality. Files and folders

  • The update of Windows 10 1511 reboot loop Bootcamp BSOD ACPI. SYS

It is a copy of my thread to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/windows-10-update-1511-reboot-loop-bootcamp/8653... as I was asked to post here by the Microsoft Support Engineer.

    Hello

Friday night, I went to bed with a working machine. I had a late 2013 Mac Pro BootCamp running with a Windows 10 Pro installed, the Build version before 1511.

On Saturday morning, I woke up to my PC restart itself over and over again. It seems that Windows Update has decided to put a new version of Windows 10 on my machine without my knowledge. I discovered this after restoring an acronis backup (which took a few hours because of the number of incremental backups)

Occasionally (about 1 in 20 restarts) it would blue screen with an error:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ACPI.sys)

But the rest of the time he would just start, flash a window for a millisecond that says (I think) winlaunch.exe, then restart.

I tried a lot of things to sort it, including:

    (1) restore from a backup, acronis to Friday morning, running sfc/scannow, and then runs the update

    (2) the creation of a recovery USB, enter the console, change the boot to legacy method, so I can F8, then goes into all security modes and mode of illegal product, but I can find where windows 10 now puts the boot log

    (3) restored from acronis, switched to mac, created a new bootcamp drivers usb, switched to windows and run the option 'fix drivers' before performing the update.

Ntbtlog.txt is not anywhere on the partition. I ran a dir /s > a.txt then open this a.txt in Notepad and searched him.

I don't know where to go from here. I can acronis restore of a windows 10 work machine the morning before installing mandatory 1511. I don't know how to delay the update no more, I noted during a restore I had delay on updates that are why it has arisen just now.

I do not know how to find where this BSOD ACPI.sys will come (even if it happens so rarely) or this that its trying to load just before it crashes (so I can try to delete the driver etc. by the front restored windows to upgrade)

I guess the widowed causes 10 to do a restore, then the restore fails.

Overall, I get at the end of my wits with this, to go a completely Windows 10 installation work Friday to more than two wasted days, restore backups, try again, rinse and repeat. It's now Monday morning and I am posting this as a ditch last attempt to solve the problem, your help would be appreciated.

If you need more information please let me know the location of the files, etc, or their names and I will do my best to have copies available for you.

I will now restore the backup again, uninstall loading of drivers, and then try the update of windows for the 4th or 5th time.

    Thanks in advance,

    Julian

Woo Hoo, I've solved the problem!

I uninstalled the drivers of graphics from AMD (with AMD Driver Cleaner) and Arcronis True Image Home 2013 at the same time, then let Windows Update run its course. Now I have a machine with Windows Version 1511 10!

It took me 4 days of downtime...

I hope this helps someone else.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Update the window hangs on reboot (stuck at 15%).

So, I recently participated a construction of a new Windows 7 machine. The installation went well, everything works fine. That is until it came time to install the latest updates. When I try to install the updates, he does his thing and prompts to restart the computer. When I restart, it begins to apply updates and gets stuck at 15%. I let it sit for hours and just 15%. The only way I can get out is to kill the power and restart the computer. When it restarts, the same problem exists.

    Here's the update in question:

    Hello

1 did you encounter any error messages during the installation of the updates?

You tried to install several updates in a single attempt that might have caused the conflict.
Our first goal is to start the computer successfully. We can try a few methods.
First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.

    Method 1.
Let us run repair system at this stage, it might solve the problem.
See the following articles for additional help and steps on startup repair.

What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7

    Method 2.
I recommend you to restore system using a Windows 7 DVD.
    Here's how:
To open the Options menu system recovery using a system repair disc or a Windows 7 installation disc
If your system is damaged and cannot access the menu system on your computer Recovery Options, you can access it using the Windows 7 installation disc or a system repair disc previously.
To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.
    a. Insert the disc.
    b. restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
    c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
o If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.
    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    e. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
    f. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.
    g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it and then choose the system restore and check.

If we are able to boot to the desktop now I asked to install the updates one by one and check which application is at the origin of the conflict.
    Method 3.
If the bows persists please verify if you are able to boot safe mode.

If the problem exists not in Mode safe run mode startup minimum troubleshooting to find the root cause of the problem.

Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

  • Earlier today, I did the updates of windows. I rebooted and my computer kept restarting by itself before the logon screen. I was able to identify the error C00021A Windows Logon process.

After trying to run chkdsk /f and still having no luck, I went and did a repair on Windows XP. It worked finally. Then, I went and did the 52 windows updates and then it happened to me again. I am now afraid to do updates on this computer window as I can't afford to have the same problem and spending 30 minutes to 60 minutes trying to fix it.

Also to add, I tried safe mode and that has not worked. It did samething (restart the computer). Last configruration well known have had a result even it did not help.
