  By far, the best way to recover from this is to go to another computer and create a free Hirens Boot CD.

It happens alwaysto me when I use my drive to work (which is managed since my MacBook Pro) on Vista and Windows 7 client computers. Like you, I learned the hard way you must cancel the digitization of Vista/Win7. The only thing to do at this stage is to connect the player to a computer that can read the files OR use the software of data recovery on it to get the files. I believe that Recuva can do it for free. Format the Flash DRIVE, then start again. Either way, you don't want to use a USB key as a single backup of important files because - as you have unfortunately discovered - stuff happens.

  I'm helping a friend to determine what the problem could be on his laptop satellite A215 - S6816 Windows does not load on start up and it says "press F2 for Setup, press F12 for the boot device selection menu" but niether one of these options works no matter what I do.
