  You can see if just the commands regsvr32 will get your SR calendar will, but I would still recommend the scans MBAM and SAS...
  Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
  System Restore is a frequent target of attacks by malicious software.  If SR was working before and is now afflicted, run some scans and then fix any problems.
  Remember that the system restore is not a time machine.
  Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
  Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
  SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
  They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
  The scans using own it may also be necessary to re-register some dll (or you can do this part first, but you still have to do the scans).
  Re-record the dll is correct, even if they do not need re-registration.  You can also re-register the dll before the scans that can solve the problem, but the scans are always recommended.
  Click Start, run, and in the box enter orders following one at a time.  Click the OK button to execute each command:
  regsvr32 jscript
  regsvr32 vbscript
  regsvr32 /i mshtml
  The last order for mshtml load the DLL but can also contain a harmless warning depending on your environment.
  Check your system restore calendar now.

  I was excited to your idea to check services and services to load... I didn't know about services of dependant' for the Volume Shadow Copy service and windows backup services... I check them and the services required and dependent services are all started and running...

  There is no error all messages when the system restore runs... it's just not always... (Even running overnight).    When I eventually give up and reboot the pc, I get an error message that the system restore did not complete...

  FYI... my device manager also shows as being very well... and I gave you on a previous message in the event log errors...

  Thank you for all this help and information... even if I have not fixed my problem, I've learned a lot about Windows 7...     :-)

  I have a very similar problem with a Windows7 Ultimate x 64 system.

  Services run, my drive is ok, I have a lot of space (> 10 GB), I suffer from any other anomaly/Windows error, but the system restore will not end but freezes on the screen "system restore is initializing. The event log is not shine any light on this because the last event in the newspaper it is that the event log service was stopped, some hang up after the fact and did not get connected.
  Even system restore seems to work, there is a lot of activity of the disk for 5-10 minutes, then the disk activity stops and then the system just rest it seems doing nothing, rather than the SR. I have no problems to paralyze this system there may be something that simple.  Running in Mode safe is without help.
  I ran SFC/scannow in Windows (3 times in fact) but this does not help, either.

• Brand new T520 gives me the white screen

  So I just got my new T520 today. It started fine the first time, but after downloading and installing a bunch of updates Windows 7, rebooted and now just gives me a blank screen. I can move the mouse around, but I can't get ot on my desk. Here is a picture I took of the screen.

  I would try the F11 factory restore. I know it's a pain, but I would rather send my machine off and wait a long time so that it can be fixed.

  Looks like an update has not been installed correctly. But maybe you can ask for a replacement Lenovo?

  I have a Dell desk top that is running Windows XP Home Edition. Every time I watch a TV show or a movie online and try to open it using the full screen, I always get audio, but you will get a blank white screen.  I can display mode small screen, but the mode full screen does not seem to work.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  Thank you.

  Thanks, but I already fixed it.  The browser is Internet Explorer 8.  No I did not any Chang recently except to IE 8.

  I was using Flash Player to view the website of lifetime television show.  I started to play the show, and while he was in NON-plein screen mode, I click with the button right on the screen, and click on properties, then I unchecked the box that appeared (there was only one box, and I don't remember what she said next to the box).

  We have deployed the POS device a few weeks ago and except some problems it seems to do it's job base that is place backup and restore of virtual machines. But when Itried to use the level of the customer restore file web it don't work for us. On a Server Windows 2008 R2 and a virtual Windows 7 machine saved upward by the VDP, both with the latest VM tools installed, I open a browser and point it to https://VDP_IP:8543 / flr , it shows a certificate waring that I choose to accept (using the cert standard vCenter for now) and it loads a blue screen , but nothing more, and I have no connection box. I tried to restart the POS and the virtual machine, but it still doesn't work. I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like.

  We use assessment and had no assistance to open a SR.

  Anyone has any ideas or might have seen the same problem?

  I think the problem is arround the Microsoft IE. Maybe you can try with another browser, firefox seems to work.

  You use the VGA or DVI - D port? Try using a different, a new cable and another monitor to see if you can get the picture on a screen.

  If this does not work, either install a PCI video card to get the image on the screen to be able to go into the BIOS or try to remove the memory modules, the CMOS battery, the power connector on the system board and the external supply of the cord and keep the power button down for 30 seconds. Reconnect everything and see if it helps.

  I came here because I believe that it is a combination of several mistakes, I don't know.

  When I start the computer in Standard Win2k3, it gives me a white screen with Vibrio black vertical lines across on the screen, with a few horizontal. After some tests, I want to pretend it works, you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and connected and surprisingly, the computer works - I can see the icon and the load of desk top of the page to the top, BUT the white screen is still there, the bars into brackets upward the desktop icons and the resolution is so low that I only see a small part. Moreover that apparently all workstations had been 'forced' layer on layer on the screen, as I see multiple cursors on the screen all at the same time movement and rhythm (when I move the mouse).

  The next thing that I checked, is since I have installed WinXP, but as if by magic will not work some of my programs (this is why I use it), and the screen has worked very well and very well (with almost nothing, runnable).

  Well, can not compare the two BONES, I also started Win2k3 in safe mode, safe mode with blah, all three cases of Safe Mode gives me good screen and access my programs no internet as safte mode blocks.
