The keyboard layout chosen is bad, looks like you have American keyboard but European provision was selected during the installation of the new facility in W10, simply go to the control panel settings language & keyboard & keyboard as the American provision.

  • HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na: HP Envy - keyboard and Trackpad not working after the mode 'sleep'.

    HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na

I have this laptop for only 1 week, he did various updates. I guess that's from Windows 8 to 8.1. He also completed an update of the BIOS with HP Support Assistant.

Question: When the awakening of my laptop mode 'sleep', my trackpad and keyboard do not work, I have unlock my PC using HP Simple pass, then press the power button to restart the machine.

Troubleshooting: I followed some advice for troubleshooting on the support page which lead me to uninstall the keyboard driver then restart my machine. I have all the latest drivers aswell.

Someone has an idea what might be causing the problem? Ideally, I'd like to do a restore or upgrade of Windows 10 immediately.

    Thank you.

Looks like this has been caused some my driver problem with Windows 8.1 and I guess that's with HP SimplePass such that it would not recognize the keyboard and the trackpad after waking up to use it.

I have upgraded to Windows 10 that looks like a solved the problem.

    Hello ElyMayor,

  • HP laptop - 15-ay007nf: problem with keyboard

Hi, I'm warning you my English is not so good.

Here's my problem: I want to play some videos games on my laptop, so I search the Internet a way first to update my drivers and I got the correct driver for the R5 M430 (related is written on the amd software).

EDIT: I just made a SHIFT and pilots goes back to R5M330...

After that I tried to play my games and I see that my PC has low fps so I found a way to activate my software amd graphics card.

I have to look very far to find how I can run my games in hight witch average performance mod (i think and I see on the forums) the laptop to run my video card when I start the game (witch is not the case when I'm on the desktop).

I discovered that, without the graphics card and eco mod (only the operation of the CPU) my games have the best fps and is not unloaded. I do all these things or does the CPU better than the graphics card?

    i56200U (intel HD 520) vs R5M430

EDIT 2: I just disable the Intel HD graphics card and recharge it the sreen CPU was at 90 - 99% of use for my graphics card does not work. Ialso check the % of use with the Witch of GPU - Z is 0% all the time for the Radeon CG.

EDIT I just put my game in hight performance mod and I check with GPU - Z, the graphics card is working but my game is very slow... it means that my CPU is better than my GPU? totally illogical thx hp we sell dreams.

Oh and I almost forgot, if I was testing the GPU and my laptop stops just for no reason. Perhaps dangerous for the PC so the graphics card is a big problem...

I have another small problem... when I do the combination of keyboards up + space + left (upwards and to the left are arrows) the left key did not work (which in all of my games). Is it possible to fix it?

Thank you very much for your answers!

    @Xtray

    Thanks for the reply.

I was too focused on solving the problems of video card as I am a player too and I know how it feels.

On the keyboard, I suggest you check if the left key works on the pad Word, Notepad or in the command prompt and if yes, then you should check the settings on all of your games to see if it is enabled, however, if this does not work on any of them, it is a hardware failure and requires a replacement keyboard.

Also, I advise to use the game with Visual low settings under display settings of the game as it should work as well.

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards

  • Types of keyboard uppercase with CAPS lock OFF and vice versa - with laptop and same and external keyboard the on-screen keyboard

During the night, something happened to the way that Windows 8 reads at the entrance to the keyboard.  It doesn't matter if I use the laptop keyboard, external wireless keyboard or pop-up on-screen keyboard, the results are the same.

If SHIFT CAPS LOCK is DISABLED, the entrance presents itself as CAPS.

If SHIFT CAPS LOCK is enabled, the entry is lowercase

Regardless of the status of CAPS, entered numberic is impossible, either from the top row of keys OR number pad (with NumLock on or off).

It is therefore impossible to connect to the computer as the password there.

The laptop is an ASUS (sorry, don't know not the model and it's home now while I'm at work), bought in the last 2 months.  Everything worked great yesterday.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Fixed!  Here is the solution:

"By pressing the right SHIFT key for 8 seconds in the word 2003is filters a shortcut keys. When you click Cancel if it changes the configuration of the keyboard. When you press a letter key you will get capital, even if you don't have a behaviour the key to the capital. When you press a number key, you will get the symbol above the key as if you had hit the SHIFT key with her.

To correct this problem and return to the normal mode by default words

Press the two SHIFT KEYS at the same time. This will cancel the change in the configuration of the keyboard.

To cancel the shortcut key shift so that this problem does not happen

    * Hold DOWN SHIFT RIGHT for 8 seconds to appear popup filter keys

    * Click on SETTINGS

    * On the keyboard tab go to filter keys and click SETTINGS

    * Under click on shortcut key on the box USING the SHORTCUT to remove

    * Click OK

    * At the bottom of the Accessibility Options box, click APPLY, then OK.

  • Why my laptop refuses to boot with keyboard/mouse wireless attached?

HP Pavilion Notebook dv9830us. A few years ago, this laptop got pushed around when configuring updates. In the end, had to use to get it running and it was never completely right since. I noticed one thing, it is that I now have a start button extra stacked on top on the original. Is this because I did a cover?

    Hi Brenda9995,

It is possible that during the recovery of something glitched, that may have caused that. Just make a recovery but wouldn't. It's probably more in a relationship when the laptop has been disturbed.

As it appears you have the problem you mentioned, and possibly others, you can try to contact support to see if they can help you with this.

  • How to replace the keyboard on a Toshiba laptop? SOLUTION

If your Toshiba laptop keyboard does not work as it should?

If your keyboard problem comes from a spillage, a hard lump, or you simply worn, you don't have to worry about investing in a new laptop, you can solve your keyboard with a simple Exchange. The good news is that setting a keyboard does not have a lot of technical skill. In fact, keyboards are among the mobile more easy to repair.

Remove the frame just above the keyboard. You will notice a Tin strip of plastic located just above the keyboard. This band is called the keyboard bezel and you remove by gently lifting the edge upward with your small standard screwdriver. Work your way through the bezel lifting as you go. The bezel is that a nod to the unit, so remember to be gentle, as you work your way through.

Remove the screws from the laptop keyboard Toshiba G83C000872. When the frame is removed, you will find three or four screws at the top of the keyboard. Using your small Philips screwdriver, remove these screws and place them in a safe place where you will not lose them.

Remove the keyboard. With the screws removed, gently lift the keyboard from the top down. You will notice a sliver of wire from the keyboard to the laptop. Lean toward the front of the keyboard so that you can access the ribbon cable connection.

Remove the Ribbon wire. Take your standard screwdriver and gently push up the support locks, on both sides of the ribbon cable socket. These support slide locks up slightly as you push to release the wire.

Connect the keyboard to replacement. Everything as you have removed the old keyboard, you will now push the replacement wire Ribbon in Ribbon decision-making. With a small screwdriver, push the brackets in place to fix the Ribbon.

Screw the replacement keyboard. Using a screw, connect the keyboard. With the keyboard which is held in place by the screw, start the computer and test the replacement keyboard. Once tested, replace the remaining screws.

Insert the bezel above the keyboard. With the keyboards now set by all the screws, place the bezel back on its opening and put it back. Start at one end and work your way through.
