System Restore suspended at 0% - HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b001ea - Windows 7

Hello

I bought the Pavilion in 2011, but the OS has become corrupted during the weekend. Performing a system restore. I have the screen of "Restoring the Factory image" and a "tick" against the first 3 options (reformatting of the windows of your disk partition, copy the files needed to restore the hard drive and reinstall the original software"

However, after more than 12 hours (night on the left), the progress is always showing 0%, and the cursor is a blue rotating circle.

If I recycle the power that I have no doubt that I will not have a 'C' drive due to the first part of the restoration of the Windows partition but the ideas of formatting?

Thank you

Robin

The easiest way is to download Microsoft Windows 7 USB\DVD download toolstore. Once you have done this, you will need to download an iso image of the operating system that was originally installed in your sleekbook from there.

Use the Windows 7 USB\DVD download tool to create a windows usb Installer.

Connect Windows usb Setup, turn on the sleekbook and immediately press the ESC key. In the start menu, choose boot options, and select Setup from usb as a boot option.

Select repair your computer.

Choose the Startup Repair tool

After clicking on finish, your laptop will reboot and you should be able to start Windows normally again.

Best regards

"Please wait while your windows files and settings are being restored"

    Running system restore

How long should I wait before doing anything and can I turned off the pc in this stadium?

You have to wait until she finishes (it will give you a message) and you certainly can not turn off the machine while he made the restoration or it may not only not work, it may cause even more problems you had when you decided to use the system restore in the first place.  It shouldn't take more than an hour or more depending on the back where you went and what changes are needed.  Be patient.  If it has not finished after 3 hours, then it is frozen and you will need to power down (even if you use the power button to do so).  Then restart and try the system restore using an earlier date.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion Sleekbook b030el and Windows 7

    Product: HP Pavilion Sleekbook b030el

A friend of mine just bought a HP Pavilion Sleekbook b030el
Unfortunately, HP officially supports only Windows 8 for this computer.

I think that Windows 8 is - by far - the worst operating system Microsoft ever released. Worse than Vista. Worse than Millennium Edition, too. Without a doubt. It is completely unusable and useless on something else that a Tablet, and existing operating systems for tablets are by far better than Windows 8 on this kind of devices.

Is there a quick way to know if Pavillion Sleekbook 15 - b030el material is fully supported by Windows 7?
    Thank you very much.

    You are the very welcome.

There should be a program (app) in the menu of apps everything to make a recovery of the DVD set.

I strongly recommend doing this before doing anything else.

I only know that if you install W7 on the C:\ partition, the Recovery Manager will not work.

I don't know what will happen if you install it anywhere else.

    I have no experience there.

I remove each partition on my PC and install the OS on one big partition.

I use recovery disks or partitions. I install a windows disk with an OEM or retail.

With Windows 8, it must be very careful, because there is no product key and used the recovery disc or partition, or they will have to buy a new operating system.

The product key is now integrated into the BIOS, which makes Windows obsolete COA stickers.

  • Satellite L500-19Z - system restore fails

I have a laptop running Windows 7 64 bit L500-19Z. A number of occasions, I tried to run the system restore but have so far failed. Any restore point that I select the system restore seems to work (initialization etc.), but when it restarts I get the message telling me that it failed with the proposal that he could have failed because of an antivirus running.

I use Zone Alarm, but have turned it off when you try to restore but it makes no difference. Yesterday, I made a mistake one inadvertently lost my wireless network adapter. There is a restore point that I could use to recover, but as I said above it still fails. At least I can get the system restore works, it seems I have to re - install Windows which I am reluctant to do.

    Can someone help, please?

    Hi anicholles,

In your case I would uninstall Zone Alarm. I didn t make good experience with this program and my firewall view integrated Windows is much better and doesn't make any problem for there part of the operating system.

Also uninstall or disable the AntiVirus software before you start the system restore.

To be honest I don t think you have a lot of options if it doesn t work. You can ask in the Forum Microsoft if it s a problem well-known but faster way may be reinstall Windows Toshiba Recovery disk I think ;)

  • Key board does not work correctly when you type. Can not get the system restore to work properly, either

Tried to run the system restore, but it will not restore.

    Hey AnnEdelstein,

Because you can't get the system restore to work, perform a clean boot on your Windows XP system. The guide to that is here. Which follow, and then try again to Outlook. If it works to the minimum, then boot in the boot, analyse the whole system with your Antivirus and other security you have.
Also make sure you have the drivers for the keyboard. Search for the manufacturing of the keyboard, and they should have the drivers on their support site. I hope this has been helpful!

  • Code error WinDef 8050800c and system restore Error 80070002 are related

    Hi all

During the last weeks of twoo many discussion happened for WinDef - and MSE-error 8050800c.  The problem known inside this WInDef cannot scan or update at required intervals, created havoc and thousands of users are complaining about and at the same time try to find a solution.

I am one of those users.  The question is not only that MS has not come up with a fix, but also this WinDef exhibits strange behavior.  Strange in a sense that one day working and the other is not.

At the same time, people started having problems with the system restore in Vista, where everything is working correctly, except for the fact that the system will be back on the date indicated, coming with a notification "unknown error" and an error code 80070002.

I am one of those users too.  Looking around the solutions both almost simultaneously and recent issues that hit my pc, I found that the solutions proposed by the MS people are circling around the keys to register ProfileImage.

These questions are treated as separate issues, I think they are related.  For example, in this forum, regarding the error of WinDef a solution has been proposed recently around the ProfileImage.

But a similar thing has been proposed by MS team, study the problems of SR points.

    Please see these links.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hello

Thanks for the information; your efforts are very much appreciated.

This happens when the Windows Vista Restore Wizard cannot access the files due to access denied or restore points missing or damaged.

To restore the computer to a previous state, make sure that there are no corrupt restore points and backup Windows and Volume shadow copy services are also running.

Connect to the computer as an administrator and follow these steps.
    1. start Windows Backup and Volume Shadow Copy services.
    a. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
    b. search for Windows Backup and Volume Shadow Copy services and start them.
2 start the computer in safe mode and open the system restore and check the result.

  • (Windows 8) System Restore how can I?

    Guys,

I was see several issues since windows 8A are released on the no sound, Apps, and other small problems with the operating system and laptop.

System Restore is a software available in all versions of Windows 8. System Restore automatically creates points of restoration, a memory of the system files and settings on the computer to a point in time. You can also create a restore point. Then, when you use the system restore to restore your computer to a point in time before the beginning of the program, the System Restore returns your computer for files and settings of the restore point. Your personal files and documents are not affected.

Most of these features worked fine until an installation (Windows), or just randomly stopped working.

As a general rule, when a features quit working all of a sudden the system restore will bring the laptop at a time where the features on the laptop was working.

When you do this step, you must be sure to save any information or downloads you recently installed on a flash drive or any type of removable media.

System Restore is a great feature that HP and other manufactured goods have to give you the possibility of not losing the functionality at any time while having the laptop.

First of all, here is the document that will help guide you in this step.

While taking these steps, I must warn to re-register you please any information you have recently saved or downloaded.

Hope it will be useful for you guys!

  • System Restore, deletion of the photo and file rights issues

I had trouble with my phone now for about half a year. Awhile back on downloading a program, my computer began to tell me that I didn't have 'rights' to remove a file, access a folder or even to open a program, when I have full admin on her rights. This problem has persisted, but not as much as he used to.

The following problem was born about two months ago. I noticed that my laptop didn't is more let me restore the system yesterday. The day before the current day was the only day where he had registered under a restore point. My laptop still has this problem. Not only that, but every time I do a system restore it says failure of the resolution.

At the beginning of this year as my C: drive grew low space I created a picture file on my D: drive and transferred all my current photos to the new folder and kept the old one on the C: drive, but deleted all the images in the default image folder. Now tonight, I deleted a program out of my D: dive that was installed a year ago that I no longer use, and after removing the photo on my D: drive folder wiped. There are thousands of images recorded in this issue said. I tried a system restore to recover images, but the restoration of the system, as said before, has failed.

I would appreciate help in how to conquer these questions. There is not much I can do until my images are retrieved, so fast response and the help is even more appreciated.

'There not much I can do so that my images are recovered'

You asked for advice, I gave him.

And I said not to use the same machine:

    "
1 stop using this computer; as you're going to overwrite deleted files, which are not deleted, until they are crushed.

2 preference slave to your hard drive in another computer, install one of the programs of recovery in this computer and read your disk from there.
