  Vista stops himself, and a blue screen appears with a debug_usb_code.  I have problems with windows shut.  Tried a restore point.  Finished in the configuration of the system and found that the windows Defender has been the origin of the problem at startup.  I disabled it, and the computer is now in operation.  However, it is slow, sometimes crashes after about an hour, it will be stopped by itself and give the code mentioned above on a blue screen error.  Then it will restart by itself.  Please help!

  So yes actually hear nothing helped me.  Seems that, given that the computer is not stopped correctly and my hard drive was not recognized there starting the cycle upward or give me the BSOD.  Put it in my Ubuntu CD spare which I've had since my last PC hard drive became corrupt and force back across my hard drive.  After doing this, I was able to do a boot repair, who led for the BSOD.  Not sure how that actually fixed, lost about 10 hours of my day.  So I guess I can chalk up to Microsoft and a reminder on why I should buy Mac for now on... an update shouldn't really cause such problems.

  I get that not everyone has the same PC, so it is difficult to tell if an update is bad, but he should not do this and if an update is the cause of a certain segment of consumers who are updating must be taken down for everyone, or at least the users with the configuration that is known to have problems with an update.

  Problem is solved, had to go back to a previous version of good boot where I have not install updates again.  Now, I'm trying to understand who was was bad, so I can leave my computer knows to ignore.

  Bug VIDEO_TDR_ ERROR control has a value of 0 x 00000116. This error indicates that an attempt to reset display driver and recover a timeout failed.

  Since you've already tried to update the Nvidia drivers, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the same check.

  You can try to uninstall and reinstall all the programs and features Nvidia drivers and Device Manager.

  Step 1:

  Uninstall the audio drivers from programs and features

  a. click on start

  b. type appwiz.cpl in the start search

  c. search for all driver packages, Nvidia, right click and uninstall.

  Step 2:

  Uninstall the drivers from Device Manager.

  a. click on start

  b. type devmgmt.msc in search, and then press enter

  c. in find Manager device for the device, right-click on it and select the option uninstall.

  After you remove the drivers of these two places, you can try to remove the NVIDIA folder and restart to see if that solves the problem after I installed the generic drivers.

  Step 3:

  To delete the folder:

  one. Click on start and Type C:\windows\system32\drivers folder in start search

  b. click on drivers and select nvlddmkm.sys

  c. right click and rename nvlddmkm.sys in nvlddmkm.sys.old. or delete.

  d. restart the computer and check.

• My computer crashes from time to time, and sometimes I have the blue screen errors.

  I am running Win 7 on a 2 years old HP Pavilion. I started having occasional blue screen errors, and some applications are a little weird. I haven't added anything recently except the recommended Windows updates. Now when I try to stop, it just display the closing, and I pressed the power switch. I tried to restore to an earlier time a few times in the last 90 days. Suggestions, or I need to reload Windows?   The dumpfile will be created in c:\windows\minidump. You may need to change your settings in Windows to be able to view the file. To show hidden files type Folder Options in the search box above the Start button and select view advanced settings and check that the box "display files and folders" and 'Hide protected operating system files' are not checked.
