T400s SATA/USB issue

Can SATA/USB port on the T400s handle a 500 GB 5.25 "disk with a suitable cable, or this size takes a lot of courses?

IM afraid this is not possible because 5.25 drive needs 5V and 12V and USB/eSata connector is only 5V I know, external power even when supply will be necessary.

Unfortunately, no, Windows 7 must be installed on a device of storage internally. If you have the eSATA port, you can install it on a disk external eSATA.

  • Crash of MacBook, iMac with SATA-USB cable files

    Hello.

My Macbook (2006) took a nose dive after a very solid 10 years of use. He has been blocked on the gray screen with the Apple logo and the spinning equipment. Forever. Would not boot mode safe mode or Recovery Mode. I accepted this.

I'm currently trying join my school for the HARD of MB my iMac disk files. I removed the drive HARD internal of the MB. I have a SATA cable / USB. I plugged the cable on my iMac and initially nothing was recognized even if I could hear the disk rotation. After about 2-3 minutes I got a message telling me the disc HARD cannot be repaired, but I could always transfer files. Great! That's all I wanted to do. Well, the HARD drive appeared in the Finder and I tried to navigate to find important files I got a message telling me that the HARD drive has been expelled irregularly. So I disconnect it, plug it in. Another few minutes and I get the same message (cannot be repaired), but this time I have no HARD drive in the Finder. I tried to run first aid at the disk in disk utility, without success. Now I can't even pop-up in the Finder or disk utility when I plug. I can hear it running, but nothing happens, and then I get a message "disc not eject properly.

My question is this: How can I get information from this my iMac HARD drive? Is there anything else I need to do? All I want to do is pull my notes of the current semester. Nothing else on this HARD drive as it was basically just a web browser/treatment for the past year.

FWIW: I think I was running Lion as an operating system on the laptop that I couldn't progresses from here with updates. I'm under El Capitan on my iMac.

Even if you already shot the player, have you considered using Disk Mode target instead?

Target disk mode, indeed, turns your Mac into a 'external drive '. In this mode, you can connect your defective Mac to Mac via FireWire or Thunderbolt and see the contents of the disc of the CMA on your Mac, as if the drive was an external drive. This not only allows you to easily access the data on the hard drive of the Mac, it also allows you to use the material of a Mac to boot another Mac operating system and data.

To access the target disk Mode, reboot your Mac and hold down the T key as soon as you hear the startup chime. Keep now until you see a FireWire logo or white Thunderbolt appear on the screen (depending on the hardware capabilities of your Mac). Now, you can directly connect your Mac to Mac defective with the appropriate cable and access the drive of this Mac. When you are done, unmount the drive of the defective Mac from your Mac running OS X, then press on and hold the power button / stop the Mac defective until the system turns off.

    Hello

Did you install the RAID driver?
Well, I put t know if it because of this problem, but as much as I know the Toshiba RAID driver must be added during the installation, when prompt to 'press F6 if you need to install a third-party RAID or SCSI driver.

To do this, please download the Toshiba RAID driver from the web page of Toshiba driver download and extract the zip to a disk file. Connect the floppy drive to your computer before starting the installation.

The Setup program continues until you are asked if you want to "S = specify additional device. Press' and specify the driver Toshiba Raid for XP or 2000 as required.
Press 'Enter' to continue the installation.

When you use Windows Setup to partition or format the HARD drive, the RAID driver is deleted in the process.

Please tell me if you have resolved the problem.

  • frequency DAQ USB issue (6211)

    Hello

I'm a newbie when it comes to NOR and data acquisition. I bought a NI USB 6211 and connected a resolver with 400 Hz and ai1, ai2 (CSR) (sine and cosine signals). I also have the reference of the power supply connected to ai3 (differential) of signals. Pockets of tension give a +/-2.5 Volts from all sources input signal.

The problem is that the signal moves to the right. She moves uniformly for all signals.

Now, I wonder is it possible to synchronize the input signal so that it moves? or what I need to resolve this issue programmatically? I'm programming in C with standard DAQmx drivers (v15.1). But I saw the same problem with Labview and Measurement Studio.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Kind regards

    Gerhard

I guess I just find the answer to my question here:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/DAQ-Assistant-can-t-lock-the-signals/m-p/1332484#M542285

I guess I have to ask in the forum section of C++ for an example of a software lock.

  • HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC: HP Envy 15 with SATA USB adapter 512th Advanced Format HARD drive

    Hello:

I want to clone the HARD drive in my system via a USB to SATA Adapter for an identical external HARD drive - this record could then be used to get back in the quick business failure of internal drive. Internal and external drives are the types of advanced Format.  The drive is: HGST HTS541010A9E680. I see the 4 areas of native k when the disk is connecetd via a USB adapter?  So far, my older USB/SATA Adapter shows the areas 4096 bytes, not he emulated disk 512 byte sectors.

    Thank you

    Hi @teranz

    Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately the adapters can be hit or miss, not always reliable. You could talk to the manufacturer of the adapter for advice.

Regarding booting from a USB key, it looks like you want to install the OS on a USB device. It is possible with some advanced configuration, but it is out of the reach of these forums. You may find help by searching for «portable Windows installation»

    Good luck

  • T400 SATA and SSD interface speed

Can someone please give me exact info on T400 to interface SATA it is SATA-I or SATA-II?

Intel SATA controller onboard is ICH9M-E/M and this controller supports SATA-II (3 GB/s) - documentation of Intel, but in all the docs on T400 techniques it is mentioned only SATA-I (1.5Gpbs).

I ask because I intend to replace SSD HARD drive. Normally, it wouldn't be nice to pass around a lot of money for the SSD with 230/180 MB read/write speed and experience after the replacement speed limited to 140/140 MB.

    Model T400 2765-TMD

    Win XP SP3

yesterday, I wrote to the German support and asked if the t400 presents the transfer Cap because I would like to move on to a intel x 25-m with a 250 MB/s read speed and response came already today. They said that the transfer rate is provided entirely / is supported in full. I hope they're right.

  • U2913WM USB issues

I have the cable connected to the USB 3.0 motherboard USB upstream. (Have tried both of them). Can I connect USB 2.0 devices in any port of the monitor & they work perfectly, but when I plug in a USB 3.0 device, they are not recognized by the operating system. I tried 2 x USB3.0 flash drives and none of them work, but they work when attached to the motherboard. My little portable drive Seagate will not work either unless (and this is the good part) I have the cable upstream to a USB2.0 port. The only thing I can think is that it is a driver issue, as it appears in the device under 'Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub' Manager that I can't change. Operating system is Pro Win8.1 x 64 thanks for any help Dave Cheers

I decided to see if there were updates of the USB 3.0 on the site of ASUS driver. There's a new file to download so I tried it & bingo, the hub is now working properly. Just thought it was weird that my external hub 3.0 worked well, but would not be the monitor. in any case, seems all good now, thanks for your help, Dave

  • USB issues after upgrade to 12.0.1 12.1.0?

I use a scanner to use high range I always use in my virtual machine (because there can be no linux drivers). Its a Fujitsu ix500. The host is ubuntu x 64 14.04 LTS. The guest is Windows 10 x 64. I ran this configuration for some time and have had no problem (since vmware workstation v.9). Recently I have upgraded from VMWare workstation to VMWare workstation 12.1.0 and scanner 12.0.1 enough work. The material of the scanner works fine, but when the scanner finishes analysis and attempts to send the data through the USB software Fujitsu software will just stay there and to block/spin forever. As a first step to be honest, that I don't blame it on vmware.

    I tried following things:

1 reinstall the software of fujitusu

    2. create the new virtual machine and install fujitsu from scratch.

    3. has tried a new USB cable and plugged into another USB port

These things has not fixed the problem. I installed 10 windows and the host and, of course, everything started working. Then I reinstalled ubuntu. I finally found a way to make it work. Replace the 3 USB USB 2.0 USB controller compatibility. I obviously don't want to keep like that since I use some USB 3 devices.  I hope that this problem is fixed in the next release, but until then what else can I do otherwise than lower compatibility USB?

    Hello

Some problems with USB have been reported on the latest versions of the workstation and of the merger.

    See for example here: https://communities.vmware.com/thread/527472?start=0&tstart=0

What I've seen so far is the recommendation to downgrade to the previous version (12.0.1) If you happen to come across this problem.

Of course, also has its down sides because none of the issues resolved in 12.1 will be in this version.

  • Card SD & USB issues after update of El Capitan

    Hi all!

Just updated to Yosemite's El Capitan.  Running iMac (21.5 inch late 2009) - to update of Yosemite point has been completely up to date as well as all software and drivers.  Now problems after the iMac to wake up in the morning with some of the built-in ports.

    1. SD card reader - have to restart so that this works, but only works for an hour or two, it is more readings.

2 ports USB - external HD holding that nothing else than music files must be disconnected and then reconnected to be recognized and to mount.  Anomaly is that Time Machine on back of the iMac USB continues to function properly and rises when waking from sleep in the morning.

3-4 ports USB hub plugged back has only 2 operational ports in the morning, must either be disconnected and then reconnected to have all four ports work.  It works sometimes for the rest of the day or only works for one hour UX as well.

4 keyboard (yes I prefer a cable on BT) takes a minute or two to be recognized after the awakening of fashion 'sleep' in the morning.

I tried to reboot my machine?  Yes, several times.

I tried to reset the SMC?  Yes, several times.

I tried to reset the NVRAM/PRAM memory?  Yes, several times.

Any suggestions on additional solutions without getting really heavy in the Terminal?  Not really keen to try some of the recommendations Terminal found here on communities, as I do not play with the programming of the OS.

    Thank you!

Thanks for the nine people who have seen this post.  Unfortunately no one answered, so I 'solved it' of it the only way I knew how.  Rolled back to Yosemite.  I hope that the new Sierra OS will be an improvement on El Capitan.

  • Toshiba dynabook MSATDXRA.002 USB issues

    Hello world

I came here because I am completely desperate and I think to buy a Mac and forget about this computer that drives me crazy.
I have a Toshiba dynabook with Windows XP and it worked perfectly in the last 2 years but 4 weeks ago started to drive me crazy. I bought a printer (Lexmark Z2320) USB and a USB optical mouse for my computer.

In the past, I have no problem with the USB things, and I installed an Ipod and another mouse who died...

The thing is that now I can't get any new things USB to work, and my new printer and my new mouse do not work.
I installed the printer drivers and mouse drivers and my computer recognices perfectly the two pilots, but as soon as I connect it to my USB ports, it is said there is some kind of problem and I need to contact technical support...
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the USB ports, I tried to uninstall the Service Pack 3 for Windows XP, I have re installed the printer drivers, I did almost everything that came to my mind... but nothing.
I already contacted Windows XP, and Lexmark and none of them want to help me (I even thought of them demanding... but I want to give one last try)...
And desperate, I came here to see if someone can help me...

    Thank you in advance

First of all, you need to uninstall the drivers/utilities USB related in Add/Remove Programs, and then restart and see what happens.
Then, you can try to reinstall the USB drivers. Re-install the last driver Chipset Intel drivers from Toshiba Web site section.
Then you should google the exact error message to find a possible solution.

If all else fails, back up your data and reinstall Windows to its factory State, of the execution of a recovery.

Oh and by the way - I would like my rear USB mouse - I said "I hate this tablet.
Battery has been for about 2 hours now without any problems

What computer Satellite phone do you have?

Have you tested without USB mouse? Maybe this is causing the problem.

And have you tried a BIOS update? You can find it on the Toshiba site:
