  If this does not do...
  Download the update manually, on your desktop to the http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28608.
  Click Start > run > Browse. In the Browse dialog box, double-click WindowsXP-KB2584146 - x 86 - ENU.exe. The box open term should have the path now. Add a space and an x at the end.
  Press OK or press the Enter key.
  You will get a dialog box with the path to your desktop already filled.
  After Office add a slash and the name of the folder so that we end up with something like C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\KB2584146.
  Go to this folder, and then in the SP3GDR folder.
  You can see packager.exe.
  Right-click to copy.
  In the box to run, type dllcache, then press on enter.
  Paste the file in there, replacing the one already there.
  In the run box, type system32, then press on enter.
  Paste the file there too by crushing the already there.
  Is there a lot of folder there. Make sure you do not paste in a subfolder. You want to the root of system32.

  Go to Windows Update and confirm that it no longer wants to install.

  If you want Office 2007 updates to appear in the installed updates again, you would need to uninstall/reinstall Office 2007 and install all the updates again.

  Assuming that Office 2007 is installed & working properly and no update is offered when you run a manual check for updates now, you might want to leave enough alone (that is, do nothing) - then see if the 2 updates for Office 2007 SP3 be released next Tuesday (a) receive, (b) successfully install and (c) are listed in the installed updates later.

  PS: The possible causes of the problem are messing with registry cleaners, messing around with the Software Distribution folder, and the fact that it was a computer refurbished when you bought it.

  I've done something where I should have better.  I looked on the forums but don't know exactly what to look for.

  Here's the scenario:

  I imported a few photos into LR.

  I made corrections for the photos.  I've even created virtual copies of some.

  I went to windows Explorer and moved and renamed the folder.

  Then I went back to LR and synchronize the folder. (I had all 4 boxes checked in the Synchronization dialog box)

  Now in LR, I lost all my updates and virtual copies.  It's as if I've just imported files.

  Is it possible for me to get all of the updates that I finished until I moved the folder in windows Explorer?

  I use LR 2.5 and windows vista.

  Backups are done Lightroom Catalog backups.  You can return to one of these and get the information you used in these photos.  This time instead of sync, you want to update the location of the folder to your new location.  You can't do that if you did a lot of work since the backup or since you lost your information using to synchronize...
