T4xx 5xx with numeric keypad?

Hello

I am looking for a laptop (important files) solid with numeric keypad. Couldnt find any L or T series with Numpads. Doesn't need much graphics power, most recent HD3000/4000 would be nice. i3 or i5 is fine as well. Just something new.

Any Suggestions?

I can't use keypad on my Apple keyboard with numeric keypad by logging on Windows 8, or when you type in the field when Windows or any document.

I think that this kind of functionality should be possible with an Apple keyboard. Do you think I should submit a feature request? If so, where should I send such a request.

    Thank you!

The 'Clear' on the physical keyboard key seems to do the same job... On my Mac keyboard, there is a clearly labelled keys where the Num Lock key is on a PC keyboard (above the number pad 7).  This key is used to NumLock when I press on it in a virtual Windows machine.

  • Apple keyboard with numeric keypad

What is this keyboard works with a new Mac OS X El Capitan running?  Since he has only USB 3.0 available, is that is a problem for this keyboard designed for USB 2.0 and USB 2.0 slots on board?

All 3 USB inputs are backward compatible with USB 2 devices. You should not experience any problem whatsoever.

  • Since I use 'Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000' with separate numeric keypad, I can't use the ASCI codes.

Original title: ASCI codes with separate numeric keypad.

    Hi all

Since I use 'Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000' with separate numeric keypad I can't use codes ASCI. Y at - it software or setting, which allows to manage this?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello Stephen,

I have another, better solution now (hint of a colleague): I changed the code of the NumLock key to the ALT key code (I need not the normal function of the NumLock key). Now, I can type ASCI codes with the keys on the keypad num only and it works :-).

You can change codes for keys in the registry. Unfortunately, I have only a German description for this in Windows XP (http://www.computerhilfen.de/hilfen-5-80753-0.html). But I am sure, there will be English descriptions in the web as well.

  • Cannot use the numeric keypad codes alt with usb keyboard.

I just bought a bow of Microsoft keyboard for use with my Vista system. As I am a programmer and the keyboard is missing a number pad (which I use frequently for the entry of characters alt-code), I bought a USB keyboard separated (from Targus - model AKP10CA) mainly to enter alt character codes

To my dismay, the alt codes don't work! I checked the keycodes that sends the keyboard with a keylogger, and they are the correct numeric keypad keys. So my question is why these don't work with my Microsoft Arc keyboard alt key, and what I can do about it?

    Thank you.

Well, at least we have excluded the keyboard as the problem - I don't really think it was but it was worth checking out.

I don't know (I don't use keyboard shortcuts), but have you tried turning on the number lock on your keyboard and using the numbers on the different keys on the keyboard that are used instead of a numeric keypad when you don't have available?  I don't mean the numbers at the top (I know that they do not work) but if you set the keyboard for some keys work as a numeric keypad, and then perhaps shortcuts using these buttons by activating the NunLock will work as expected.  Always turning on one off the NumLock sort of defeats, the goal to make shorter (but it can work entirely from the keyboard that was your question).

I do not think it is possible to get this work because the keyboard and the numeric keypad USB are separate devices and do not speak to one another - can 'see' what is happening on the other device and there is therefore no way to make them work in oncert.  The system does not recognize that the two entries are supposed to actually a single action and I don't know any way to tell the system how to do if it is possible at all (even with a registry change).  I have no idea where to start comiing even upward with a workaround.  I think you just need to live with the fact that you can not use the devices together to issue commands.  Maybe you can change some of the most frequently used shortcuts involving the keypad for a different shortcut, not requiring that the keyboard - shortcuts can be re-scheduled (and if you can not re - schedule a current shortccut you ccan still create a new shortcut using only the keyboard, which performs the same function).

I'm sorry, there is no real solution to your problem, but it's the way Vista works and we just have to live with it, the better we can.

    Good luck and best wishes!

  • Numeric keypad is not working properly with the Adobe Reader Plugin

    Greetings;

I had this strange problem with several workstations where the numeric keypad does not work correctly when you open a PDF file via the web browser. Things, I tested and noted:

-Regardless of the State of the numlock (or disable) keys act as if NUMLOCK is off. Based on 9 and 3 will cause the page up and page down respectively. Striking at 7-4 will cause beginning and end to occur etc. 0 creates the ~ while the symbol of the keys work as expected.

-The numeric keypad works on other programs. The numeric keypad works even in the same browser, you opened the PDF file but not in the actual form.

-The numeric keypad works if you save and open the same PDF file in Adobe Reader, but does not work with the plugin.

-Seems not to matter of this PDF it is, regardless of who seem to have made it (I used PDF files from the DMV and other sites of the Government for tests). The problem persists despite everything.

-It doesn't seem to matter what browser you use. I saw this happen to IE10, IE11 (32 or 64-bit), and Chrome. I have tried Firefox, but I imagine that the problem will be the same if you are using the Adobe Reader Plugin.

-It does not matter what version of the player. I saw the same problem with drive DC 10 and 11.

-J' ran these without any add-ons or plug-ins and the problem persists.

-J' I reset the browser settings, reset the default values, cleared the cache.

-Disconnect the keyboard and moving to a different USB port allows you to use the numeric keypad as usual, but once you restart the issue will resume.

-Uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver allows you to use the numeric keypad as usual, but once you restart the issue will resume.

-J' tried the official and generic keyboard drivers.

-J' tried different keyboards from different manufacturers.

-PDF viewer of Chrome or another Viewer PDF/writer will work. But unfortunately, this isn't a solution for us because of the site we access performs a check if the plugin is Adobe Reader. If it's not Adobe Reader, it does not display the PDF file.

-J' have enabled Mode Touch in Reader.

-I was not able to test this on one other operating system other than Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

-I can put it so the browser opens the PDF file directly to the Adobe Reader app, it's not quite a solution perfect for us because it create additional steps for our users to submit PDF files.

I'm quite lost and would like to get help from the community. Thank you very much.

Fixed my own problem. I answer this with a resolution:

The question is the Protected Mode. You can find this setting in Adobe Reader. Preferences > Security > uncheck Protected Mode. In Adobe Reader X, you can find it under general.

You don't need to restart your system.

  • Satellite L20E - external numeric keypad USB problem

    Hello

I have problem with my Satellite L20E - when I connect external USB numpad, it interferes with the keyboard of the computer.
I would like to work independentaly (i.e. ' J' on my regular keyboard as a 'J' and '1' on my keypad external as '1'), but when I turn the keypad numlock, it also enables the numeric keypad of the keyboard regular (i.e. when I press the 'J', it returns the value '1') - on my previous Satellite 1410-903, this has worked.
This bug really bothers me, because I need to enter large amounts of numbers.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hello

Believe it s not a little money. Please try to activate the function with the FN + F11 key combination. This function turns on and the small gray signs to your keyboard. Well, also check the function FN + F10

Please also check the chapter 5 of the user manual. You will find lots of information on the keyboard

  • Satellite M60-164, sticking the numeric keypad

    Hello

I wonder if anyone has experienced any sticky keys on the numeric keypad. I mean only to feel the resistance when you press the keys and they take the time to return to its normal position.
No.... One looks like it might be food or drink has fallen on the pavement, but it is not the case.

    Thank you

    Nope.
Given two M60-159 units, keyboard was replaced due to sensitivity of the keyboard problem (some characters are usually missing in the text...), none of the keys to self-retaining noticed on any of four keyboards. Replacement keyboards (revision 01) had a little different twist, but were not much better.
Also saw two P100-219 units with a similar keyboard, no sticky keys is (keyboard sensitivity OK but not excellent as more old 3000 Toshiba).

Question (please do not answer, I would really like to know): how is the sensitivity of your keyboard? Leave the characters when the quick entry?
You may require a guarantee of replacement keyboard for this reason. Or better yet a replacement laptop, if all goes well they're out of M60s and you can get a P100... Personally, I do not change the computers because it takes too long, I just want them to fix the keyboard, but they seem to have given up (I even sent them keyboard replacement for analysis).

It also comes with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, is it possible for me to get a buyout of Toshiba site upgrade

    Hello

    > Is the processor good on this machine, I mean like a Core 2 Duo

The CPU is not better than Core 2 Due because he s successor to core Duo.
Intel Core Duo processor T2400 1.83 GHz Yonah works on this laptop.
You can check the detailed specifications of this CPU Intel page.

In addition the unit supports audio chip type high-definition Intel Conexant CX20551-22.
I put t know what you mean by HD video.
Do you mean the HD player? The portable player is a simple DVD Super Multi drive (+/-R Double Layer) and it does not play any DVD HD

You can also check this Toshiba page for more details:

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: press the Plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad is too sensitive

Press the plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad is so sensitive that it is like it is stuck. I have to tap it or even touch it, just gently move the computer or touch the computer around the + key is enough to activate, which translates by +++.

    How can I fix?

    Portable computer key stuck

If a key is physically stuck in the down position, you should not have to replace the entire keyboard. Many keyboards have keys that can be removed by inserting a knife to butter under one edge of the button and gently lifting upward on the upper and lower edge. After having removed the key, using a buffer with alcohol, clean the underside of the key and the key on the keyboard slot. Put the key in the snapping it back in place.

  • Built-in HP Probook 6560 b in numeric keypad keyboard

    Hello

    Here I have a probook 6560 b with a built-in numeric keypad.

The integrated numeric keypad works fine, but the keyboard is integrated digital keypad mode (number on the letter keys) and im not able the desable it. I tried the fn + num lock key and it doesn't work.

Reinstall the drivers doesn't fix it.

I don't have the problem when the probook is a docking station.

Anyone has an idea about this problem?

I was going to say faulty keyboard, but you say that this does not happen on the dock. It's weird.
Points to the software however, try completely uninstalling the shortcut keyboard HP software. See what happens when uninstalled, and then reinstall it (download a new copy).
Check in the bios, also could be difficult to say but to see if it does the same there. (A way to check could do to set the time that you can replace the numbers)

  • How re-pair the bluetooth keyboard & numeric keypad - he will not give me a pairing code.

I'm having a problem, try to re - connect my Bluetooth keyboard and numeric keypad.  First my keypad has been properly installed and works fine, but then when I tried to add the keyboard that I clicked on the number pad icon again once and he gave me a code to enter, I canceled just thinking it was already installed and working, and I didn't need to do.  Big mistake!  Now I could not do re-paired again.

After talking with a guy tech at Staples, I disabled bluetooth for my laptop completely and then distributed in the computer and re-enabled Bluetooth.  I was able to add my mouse still fine, but now the keyboard and the numeric keypad gives me the same error and won't let me pair.   The message is:

Pairing failed.  An ocrred of error during the process of pairing with Microsoft Bluetooth Number pad.  Make sure that the device is discoverable, and then click Retry.

Well, I did it several times but without success.  He won't give me a code for one of these pair again.

    I use Windows XP.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

  • Windows 7: numeric keypad does not work

I posted this question three times and every answer I'm away does not solve the problem.  It is obviously a software problem as my numbers keyboard works when signing on (I have the numbers in my administrator password), but once I get to the desktop and open a program where I can enter a (Journal of Word, Excel, power) number on the numeric keypad gives no answer when the keys are affected.  Disable "(Num Lock) and work to end keys (arrows, PG." PREC, PG. Next, home, end).

I swapped keyboards and downloaded all the drivers that I found nothing doesn't.
I uninstalled the keyboard and rebooted and the problem remains.
    No, I don't have a laptop, it's a PC.

But what of the fact that number of my keyboard pad works fine now only when I sign and before when I had Windows Vista as operating system?  The only thing that has changed is loading and upgrade to Windows 7.

Everything that touches the keyboard has not been charged at this time here, that's why it works. Your computer has not loaded all of the software and drivers associated with your account until after the connection. This is where the problem begins. IntelliType options vary according to the model of the keyboard you have. You can check for numlock settings in there related or just reset default. If this does not help, you can uninstall intellitype, reboot. The pad is a basic keyboard function and should not need Intellitype to work. The numeric keypad works while the Intellitype driver is uninstalled? If this isn't the case, then the likely driver isn't the problem. If the numeric keypad doesn't work try to install Intellitype by using "Run as Administrator".

If the problem is not be caused by a setting in the keyboard driver or a problem with the installation of the driver, then it is located elsewhere, probably in one of your 3rd party applications. It is not really important if you had all the same applications running in a different operating system without any problem of keyboard.
