Takes 2 clicks on continue button quiz

No idea why it takes 2 clicks the button continue after passing a test on a published course? Using Captivate 8.

Hello

Check the timeline. Specifically, look at the pause point. In addition, check the measurements of success/failure. If a click occurs before the break and the action is set to 'Continue playing project', would record the click and the project would "continue" following the instructions and the break point would be after ward. And after the break has been reached, a second click would be needed to actually "continue."

See you soon... Rick

  • Can we remove the button continue to Quiz results?

    Hello world

Is there a way to remove the continue button on the Quiz results page?

I have a captivate file in which there is a slide thank you at the end after than the Quiz results slide. Now, here's the problem - the user is just to finish the quiz and the closure of the browser tab - which does not appear inside the LMS completion status. The user must need to display the slide thank you - so that CMS can answer that the status of "completed."

Now I want to remove the button continue on quiz results slide so that doesnot users to go forward to the next slide to complete the course. And I'll put here the thank you message in single result of the quiz slide.

Can I remove the continue button on the Quiz results page so that it could be the last slide?

    Concerning

    Vikas Sharma

Remove the button continue results Quiz slide is NOT a good idea in my experience.  By clicking the button triggers features continue in Captivate to complete the quiz and post the score to the LMS.  If this button is not checked, Captivate maybe isn't sure that the person has decided that they are finished with the quiz and wants their score to be captured by the LMS at that time here.  There are often other buttons on the Quiz results slide to offer the user the possibility of recovery or to review the Quiz.  Only the continue button is designed to take them further beyond the Quiz results slide.

Like you, I also found learners often fail to grasp the importance of the button continue and do not realize that they must do something extra (beyond to reach the Quiz results slide) so that their score to capture.  So what I usually do is to rename the button continue for something more meaningful like: save your Score, or record Quiz results now.  Have a name like that (and make nice and big button and "BOLD" so that it is not easy to Miss) clearly says to people that they need to click if they want to keep their score.  It's just a simple change, but it has virtually eliminated all the questions we had with people just close their browser when they saw the results of the Quiz.

  • "Continue" button at the end of quiz

    Hello

I have a quiz 8 question 8 Captivate, followed by an end of quiz/results screen, followed by an end of course screen (which States just "all right, you have completed the course").

A learner must achieve 100% to pass the test. The "Retake quiz" button works correctly and displays only when the learner makes less than 100%.

I have problems with the button 'Continue' however. My two questions are:

    1. the button 'Continue' is currently visible at the end of the quiz regardless of score. Is it possible to hide the button 'Continue' if the learner has not passed the quiz?

2 in both cases (vs not passed the test by the way), I have to click on the button "Continue" twice to progress to the last slide - obviously, I just want to the learner to have this click once. No idea what could happen here? Screenshot of the chronology is less (perhaps the break at the end is causing issues, but I don't know how to remove it.)

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

You have changed the default setting of the slide to score, because normally the suspension point is 1.5secs and in your screenshot, it has been moved to the end of the slide that is not a good idea. The button continue will launch the actions that you have configured in the preferences of pass/fail Quiz, and having such a break so close to the end can cause problems. I wonder if you have made other changes to the normal configuration of the Score slide, such as the removal of the built-in objects (those that have no separate timeline)?  More information about the default setting:

It is not normal to have to click twice, but your question about the "withdrawal of this break" proves to me that you are totally unaware of the design of the slide in score, why I created these two articles.

  • Continue the Quiz results button does not.

On the Quiz results page, if someone clicks on the button continue, there is no little matter of success or failure.  I have these settings:

    settings.JPG

55 and 44 slides exist.  Any ideas?

What framework do you have for Quiz > settings > required combo?  It could be the cause of the issue.  If this option is not set to optional, try and repost to see if the continue button then works.

  • Hide the button Quiz continue until all attempts

    Hello!

I use 8 Captivate and have a quiz that allows 3 attempts failed. It's game to go to a slide if they pass and another if they fail. These work very well using the button continue.

There is a cover and continue button.

However, the shows continue button on the quiz results slide on the first and the second attempt. If the user clicks on this - the quiz is over - no attemtps allowed (no bar reading if it would make a difference).

The instructions show on the failed attempts, "...". If the back button is displayed, click on it, if not, click on continue. »

How to hide the continue button on the first 2 failed attempts?

I was looking for articles and perhaps the answer is here - I'm just not reconstruct the it. I created an if/else statement to access the appropriate slide based on the % of quiz scored, but he then ignores the results of the quiz.

I know that there is a way!

Thank you for all the advice!

SOLVED! I found the "more like this" in the pane right and found my answer - Phew! I think that some people do not put tags in their questions.

In any case... RodWard had a suggestio nthat genius is so simple! Put on top button recovery button continue. SO the button continue DON'T show when replays are exhausted. Hallelujah!

  • Is it possible to have several break the view have need to click on the button 'continue' to continue?

Is it possible to have several breaks notice require to click on the button 'continue' to continue?

Yes I know it s crazy frustrating. It took me three days to figure out what I had to do.

You could get my file but I Don t know where to download.

You set movie (click the play next to the movie icon and choose reading). No automatic reading of the symbol or triggers tell the movie to play (if you intend to work they way I wanted, which is impossible to tell). There are probably other ways, but none of the 2000 I tried before worked.

When you´ve set the movie to play, mark the spot on the timeline of the movie where you want to pause, and then click pause in playback of movies. Define a trigger on the chronology of the symbol with playback > stop all > 'your symbol name' in the symbol timeline just to the right of the pause. Then set to play again to the right of the shutter release. Make a button with action play chronology of 0

It sounds very complicated, but it s not. Find how it was REALLY hard for me anyway

  • animation continues to run through. I want that he stop on main menu, so I can click on the buttons

animation continues to run through. I want that he stop on main menu, so I can click on the buttons that navigate to different scenes. Please help me I'm a noob.

Screen shot 2013-09-06 at 1.31.12 PM.pngstage 3, which is causing all the issues I think? supposed to be able to drag the boxes. but it passes right through without stopping when I play.

    This is the compiler errors:

    Screen shot 2013-09-06 at 1.43.07 PM.png

If you deleted the stop() of scene 2, that it will not stop there it will return to wherever is 'home '.

If you intend to have the timeline stop on an image, then you must place a stop() command in this frame, or use a gotoAndStop() command.

If you want to use the scenes be compatible with the way you write the goto command. Is rarely recommended use - instead, use the various sections of the chronology of a scene, or use some movieclips and control their visibility, or a combination of both.

If you continue to have problems, try to simplify - build / add first navigation for a section at a time instead of trying to get all of a sudden.

  • CP4 - Pause a slide with several buttons and continue after clicking a specific button

    Hi all

I know that a break has been discussed, with the idea that you can use a clickbox (tiny/transparent) to pause the slide in CP4.

My problem is that I have a few buttons to show/hide a scenario/question in a slide that is suspended with a clickbox.  I would like a particular button to advance the slide (for example, the button 'Next').  Currently * any * button will UN-pause the slide even if all the buttons use advanced actions and are not defined for advnace slide to the click.

Basically, I want to achieve this goal:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/community/publishing/871/cpsid_87182.html

Scroll down for the film and ignore everything apart as a result of clicking on the US/Europe/ISO buttons, you don't advance the slide. (I don't like on all counters/times etc.).

    BB

(just in case it is useful to my slide includes):

    (1) invisible clickbox to pause at the top of the timeline (i.e. "put on the map"

    (2) an another clickbox with a legend of success/failure (that I want to advance the slide)

    (3) a "Hide" button that hides the name of a legend and shows another button (all with a tip action)

    (4) a "show" button that shows the 'hide' button and the legend (by peak action)

    (5) a couple of areas of turnover used to mimic navigation so that the user can click in the right place for (2).

    )

    Hello

What's you point to one of my articles? Oh, I see now you are intrigued by the little film. It was created with Captivate 5 and CP4 is a little heavier.

I just answered a question similar, but explained by adapting the user file. He wanted to have several areas to click that showed a text caption and offer the user the opportunity to click as many times as he wanted to in order any on those select boxes. Only when you click on the continue button (or click box), there should be a navigation to the next slide. If I understand you correctly, this is a similar case?

My workflow: do NOT use multiple actions for areas of click to show/hide captions. He must not trust at all, and in addition you must go back the playback head to avoid it continues after clicking on a CB. Create a tip action for every click like this screenshot:

Here, a single text of the legend was hidden, but can be extended to many of course. The last instruction (assignment) is important: it puts the read head back a frame, so that it remains before the point of interruption.

I blogged about this type of micro-navigation once, but the examples are for CP5 and later versions:

  • Captivate 8, then the button quiz

I created a questionnaire in 8 Captivate and everything is fine, except... the user answers a question, and then submit clicks. We told them if it's good or bad, then says to click on the next button. I don't want them to be able to click Next without answering the question. So in Quiz > settings, I put the required field to "respond to everything - the user must answer each question to continue.» It works, but it clears up the button next, so that it looks almost gray. I thought that perhaps he would return to the color after clicking on send, but it doesn't. It works as I want, but I don't want the next button to be the lightest color - I want the Green full as it is supposed to be. Any thoughts? I took the right approach? Other suggestions? Basically I want the user to have to answer the question before moving on to the next question. Thanks for your help!

For question slides, the next button has a dual functionality:

    1. During the Quiz, that it acts as a "Skip" button, do you want?
    2. It is necessary during the review, as it will act as a real button next in this situation (its has changed to the CP9 but you're always on CP8)

My recommendation is not to spoil with the usual design of the Question slides. Read about it in this article:

Question Question slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

You will see that my recommendation is to drag the next button under the clear button to make it invisible by the user during the Quiz.

This seems to be an answer to your question. The button depending on who you're talking about is the next default button you will find on Master quiz slides? The submission process is in two stages:

    1. User clicks on the button and feedback messages appear, in which is mentioned the next action (press on Y or click the slide); playhead remains paused
    2. When the user finished reading the comments, click on the slide (or based on Y) and head out of reading, the actions for Success/Last attempt (if attempts are exhausted) will be performed.

You see that by clicking on the next button is not included in this scenario at all.

  • User cannot support on there to continue the quiz so submitted no response

In Captivate 8, HTML5, if I have a quiz which requires responses, and the user clicks the submit button without selecting an answer, it displays the usual legend indicating that the question is required. Finally, if the user selects a response and sends it, they cannot support on Y to continue - only by clicking the slide will continue. Appears not to happen if the user always selects a response before submitting.

Everyone knows this? A way around it?

    Thank you!

    Mark

You mess up some objects shipped on the quiz slide? Those are objects that do not have a separate calendar (Type of question, Question and answer text, buttons). Never simply delete, even not on Quiz Master slides.

  • Long wait after clicking the Start button

In the published version (Flash) of a project that I created, when the user clicks on the Start button on the first screen, there is a very long delay before the next section of the cheek of e-learning.

I can adjust to shorten this time?

    CB.

I see that the slide is 21 seconds long. Based on the image, the sound should take as long to play.

My guess is that you have to 'Continue' as long as the button action. So when you listen to the audio, slide shows for another 16 seconds or longer. If you don't want that to happen, change the action of the continue button to go to the next slide.

There is probably a problem with that, however. If change you it and the learner clicks on the button before the end of the audio, the rest of the audio will probably be skipped and the next slide appears.

  • Click on the button trigger programmatically after awhile

I am doing an application that does not require the user to make a click of a button, the action occurs. I have need for this action to occur every 500 ms, but the thing is that I don't know how to do this programmatically, since I'm new to labview. what I want to do is take a picture of my web cam every 500 ms, and in another windows, I want to capture the full video. So I would have a video stream live on one side and a picture of one on the other side live. examples will be greatly appreciated.

  • Why me disables the user interface click on another button, while it performs a scan?

    Hello

When I run the user interface and click on a button that is sweeping the voltage for a period of time, I can't press any other button that sits on my Panel, lets say the Abort button that would prevent the action.

So when I take the data and I realize that I should stop him before he finishes the scan, I can't and it's a really bad drawback.

How can I improve this problem?

    Thank you

    Hi m.s.taba,

It seems to me that your code runs the function leave but does not exit the loop you are, then the program stops at the end of the loop.

    To avoid this, you can:

    • use a global variable to the time your long recall and the recall of quit smoking
    • Call ProcessSytemEvents in the loop
    • reminder for the button leave defines the global variable
    • inside the loop, immediately after ProcessSystemEvents, you should test the value of the variable, and if the value you must break out of the loop
    • only after the exit of the loop, you can complete your program
