Taskbar notifications unsaved changes

I recently tried to edit my notifications in the taskbar.  The changes are accepted and my opinions are changed, but they are not saved.  When I restart my computer, the changes are gone.   My operating system is Win 7-64 bit w / 4 GB of RAM.  I don't know when the problem started, but he must have visited recently, because I was able to make changes in the past who remained.

  • FDK problem: "Unsaved changes in file" dialogue with MIF

    Hello

    I have a problem with saving the MIF files using our client API of FrameMaker.

    After that we wrote to all our content, we are asked to save unsaved changes in the. MIF file.

    We do not know whether to click Yes or no.

    If you click Yes, so we get a backup dialog box that prompts you for a file name.

    the extension default filename, value, but a. FM.

    When you click 'save', another message appears telling me that I am trying to record a

    . MIF file in the. FM format and that is not allowed and asks if I want to save it

    as. MIF.

    Although it is a simple annoyance for me, it's very confusing for probably

    Visitors who use our software, and I'm not sure what is the cause.

    I tried to solve it by changing the default save the settings within the FAPI

    by using this:

    F_PropValsT saveParams = F_ApiGetSaveDefaultParams();

    I = F_ApiGetPropIndex (& saveParams, FS_ModDateChanged);

    saveParams.val [i].propVal.u.ival = FV_DoOK;

    Needless to say, it did not work. I wonder you is another approach I should

    use?

    Thank you

    Eric

    Hi Eric,.

    I don't understand if your software automatically saves the file, or if the user needs to do it after your process runs. And, I did not really understand what exactly you want to happen after your code runs.

    I think that all open MIF file (even if in a binary format, after opening in FM) will cause this prompt when you try to close it manually, even if you have made any changes since the last save. My thought is that FM simply looks at the file extension and generates this behavior accordingly.

    A few options you have (May) be more, once I better understand the situation:

    -Leave the code close the file itself, once it is done, using F_ApiClose (docId, FF_CLOSE_MODIFIED). This, of course, if the interactive user does not need to see.

    -Use F_ApiNotification() and F_ApiNotify to divert registration request and save the MIF file automatically, which should allow you to avoid the second prompt.

    -Use notifications to divert the process closing document itself, close doc on request if it changes or not. Or, perhaps, you can add your own messages. This would take account of whether you actually want to allow an interactive user to make changes after that the code runs.

    Just a few ideas. If you provide more information on what you want to happen after the execution of your code (it's probably the translation thing), I might be able to help more.

    I'm guessing that you're referring to a problem involving the Security Center that happens sometimes after update silent through updates of Windows to the new version of MSE... but it is also sometimes occurring after the updates of Windows 'monthly '.  Usually, but not always the problem occurs on computers running XP.

    If the MSE icon is green then you should be protected and cannot ignore this Security Center warning. The problem resolves after a few days.   I do not pretend you disable the protection in real time on MSE, disable Security Center, restart the computer and then turn everything back on and restart once more... some users report this sequence fixed the problem.

    Hi, when I change my wallpaper or display the taskbar then restarted windows 7 (asus laptop) taskbar autohide, and change wallpaper unwelcom why I don't

    Hello

    This who exactly are you referring to when you say "change unwelcom why I do?"

    If the taskbar is hidden, point to where you saw last it show again. If you don't remember where you saw it, try pointing to the bottom of the screen first, then to the sides or top of the desktop, if necessary. You may need to move the pointer almost off the desktop computer to show the taskbar.

  • JQuery MoveColumns causes "this form contains unsaved changes" during the previous/press

    I have a page Apex tabular 4.1 loading it moves the columns via jQuery following Script:

    jQuery.moveColumns = function)

    {

    var tbl is jQuery ('table.report - standard');.

    var colChanges = apex.item("ColumnOrder).getValue (); Contains the movements to make columns in the correct order

    var colChangesArray = colChanges.split('^');

    If (colChanges.trim () .length > 0)

    {

    for (var i = 0; i < colChangesArray.length; i ++)

    {

    moving var = colChangesArray [i].split(':');

    Query.moveColumn (tbl, move [0], moves [1], 'AFTER');

    }

    }

    }

    If the user presses the next/previous button to get to the next/previous line set, they will receive the message "this form contains unsaved changes." You can click on the submit button and there is no updated\inserted lines. If I comment out the call to the moveColumns the next/previous buttons work without warning to the user.

    It seems so move columns autour put an internal indicator reflection there are changes. Is there a way in my jQuery script after finishing move the columns autour, I can reset indicator (whatever that is) if the user is not prompted with the warning of unsaved changes?

    I found this ad where they have been reset to the elements on the page:APEX 4.1 is possible to remove the message "unsaved changes" pagination? and once I added this function up to the end of my function moving columns around it has solved the problem. Now either he gives me the message the unsaved changes when I page. It will give me the message if there are unsaved changes when I'm trying to paginate so all is well!

  • Notification of change of management int ADF Fusion Web Application database

    I'm trying to implement a system that detects changes (for example the insert operation) in the database. I searched the net and found these two examples: [blog technology AMIS | http://technology.amis.nl/2012/06/18/notifying-adf-applications-of-database-changes-fast-and-lean-using-database-query-result-change-notification-part-one/] and [post niallcblogs | http://niallcblogs.blogspot.nl/2009/06/auto-refreshing-adf-chart-objects-in.html]

    I downloaded an application example in BLOG of FRIENDS and follow the steps which the listeners of notifications to the database.
    Both requires a privilege "change notification" in the database so the privilege of change notification, I added to my user db.
    When I run the application it properly registers listeners to the db with the method 'registerForDatabaseNotifications' notifications
    Adds instances of DatabaseNotificationHandler as listeners. But when I inserted a line in the table,
    It does not reach to the method "onDatabaseChangeNotification", as provided in the example.

    After this failed attempt, I tried niallcblogs post, followed the steps to create and update a chart according to the emp and dept
    iln SCOTT schema tables. But once again the notification does not reach to the method.

    I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 and access to the HR schema on a remote connection to our Oracle database
    You have an idea? I can add the sources of the project if necessary?

    Well, if you can't ping your server db machine machine, how you expect your db send notifications of change? :)
    In one of my previous posts, I described my test scenario (which is more complex than yours) and this work when the firewall is disabled (or configured correctly :))
    So, check (or disable :)) your antivirus and firewall software/hardware.

  • APEX 4.1 is possible to remove the message "unsaved changes" pagination?

    Hello

    We have developed a tabular presentation to APEX 4.1 that only contains an editable column. Once the user changes the column, it triggers a dynamic Action, updated table data source. The problem is after you change a field any and by clicking on the link of the pagination, we get the alert message following "this form contains unsaved changes. Press 'Ok' to continue without saving the changes.

    Is it possible to get rid of this message? I found a way to translate the message but nothing to remove it. We have also seen the paging calls a JavaScript function called page, would be possible to modify its definition to disable the message somehow?

    Thank you

    Hello

    Apex uses a global array called gTabFormData to store the original values when the page loads and identify those that were changed when the user makes the paging. Thus, a hack that you could use is to call this function right after you have saved the changes in the database:

    function resetFormCachedData() {
        var c = $x_FormItems($x('report_));  // e.g. report_MYSTATICID
        for (var e = 0; e < c.length; e++) {
            if (c[e].name != "X01") {
                gTabFormData[e] = c[e].value
            } else {
                gTabFormData[e] = "0"
            }
        }
    }

    I suggest putting this code in a JS library, so if Apex is changed in a later version (for example, by providing a way documented for this), it is easy to change too.

    Since his happens with all files, my suspicion is that your application data are damaged. Try this:

    1. close FrameMaker.
    2. Delete the following directory: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\
    3. reopening of framemaker and see if the problem is reproducible.

    He has probably got in it cross-references which are auto-mis to date when you open the document - it is this that fools the indicator "unsaved changes".

  • Windows 7 taskbar notification

    My battery notification shows a red cross on it and it ask to replace the battery. My Asus laptop is standard x54c. Y at - it another way to solve this problem or I have to change the battery. Please respond.

    Batteries become defective.  In general, they will last for between 200 & 400 landfills-refills.  You don't say what use you had your battery.

    Even if the battery was recently posted as invoiced 100%, this means that 100% of what it can now do not 100% of what he could do when it was brand new.

    Sometimes there is a graceful degradation in which it gradually feeds the laptop for still more short & shorter periods of time.  Sometimes, it is a failure of shock suddenly.  He could even for most machines.

    If you buy a spare battery and it has a red cross on it right now there is a reason to suspect that a part of the computer is defective.  But as the current state of things, you might as well just do as the message says, and buy a new battery.

    There are a lot of charlatans in battery manufacturing & sales professions.  I can't provide the right suppliers.  Price isn't even a decent indicator - look through lists of Amazon of batteries for your model and you will see providers Amazon Marketplace selling the same battery [even in stock as well as description] at widely varying prices.  Maybe they hope to sell to people who sort their search results by increasing prices as well as the people who sort their search results by price descending.

    Most battery sellers recommend that you charge the battery for a period (often 12 hours) before you use it and then to make the full discharge-charge with two or three cycles.  This is not to get the battery operating at full capacity.  If your seller does no such recommendation, then do it when the same but make it a point to avoid that the seller & this brand of battery in the future.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    You can, if you wish, check the proportion of the charge of the design that the battery was the realization.  I posted a procedure of verification in another thread.

    If you find the battery reached less than 40% of its design fees then your indication of taskbar does its job properly.

    Even if the battery is damaged, you must not expect falling completely in the morning.  It may the last ages before it finally expires.  It is impossible to know in advance.  However, you should proceed with caution with a battery that is running out - do not run the critical procedures such as installations or Windows upgrades on battery in the case where it is running out of juice in the middle and let Windows in a State that won't start plu.

    If you have the time & patience, you could try running on battery power to drain the battery, and then recharge it.  Do it for a second time and then a third time.  Then run my verification procedure on the part of the responsible for the design that the battery was the realization.  Sometimes a battery will have a better, but sometimes it won't.
