TCP in PlayBook

Hello

Is it possible to create a client TCP with AIR for PlayBook (I'd rather UDP but from what I read, it is not available for mobile AIR)?

What I'm trying to do, is to just send it to short string to a PC located in the same WiFi.

I've seen and tried this app and it says that it uses the TCP connection, but I don't know if it was created with AIR or not.

Any information is really appreicated.

Examine the Socket class.

Yes, you can do a TCP socket connection to a remote computer.

-I guess if they are on the same subnet, you should be able to speak directly on Wifi?

You should definitely be able to talk directly between two PBs on the same wireless subnet.  Note that at least in the AIR, UDP is not supported, then you are probably limited to the protocols built on TCP, for now.  Find the other device is your main problem, but would work at the entrance of the user of an IP address, or something like QR codes.

I don't think we will have any BT support initially, but which should eventually be possible somehow.

We see interconnectivity NFC at some point, which would allow some ways ordained to share things.

In some simple cases, you can use the camera and a QR code, although I do not think THAT RIM has indicated any support in the short term for a barcode API so this would probably involve some third-party libraries.

If you wanted to get complicated, you can use the audio output on one and the MIC on the other.  Which would also be you to make a "show" mode of communication, although humans nearby could get mad.  (Probably the QR code approach allows a limited form of 'broadcast' as well).

I think that exhausts my supply of ideas for the moment.

I have a playbook and a z10. Is there a download for me to get firefox?

  • Open the TCP Port

I'm trying to implement a TCP port to listen to music on my home network through JRiver. The server and work remotely on my home network. But I want to access on the network side.

I use ATT Uverse to access the internet. I disabled wireless and ATT modem to transmit to my Airport Extreme.

I have these instructions to configure the port:

    1. Open AirPort Utility and change your AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express. Select the tab network (image). Select the sign of closer Port settings box. The Type of Firewall entry should be IPv4 Port Mapping. Enter a description like JRiver Media Center. Enter the Public 52199 TCP Port. Enter the private IP address, it's the IP address of your JRiver Media Center PC at home. Enter the TCP Port private 52199. Click on save, and then click Update. (image)

When coming to this page, however, the firewall main entry box Type "IPv6" entered and grayed out, so it cannot be changed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but no image is available.

However, to start, running the AirPort Utility > select the AirPort Extreme > change > Internet tab > Internet Options...

What is the value to configure IPv6? If it is 'Automatically', change it to "Link-local." only (Note: I'm assuming that your ISP DO provide you IPv6 service still.)

  • Satellite L30-115 - deleted TCP and FTP packets

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba Satellite L30-115 and a DSL connection. I have a problem with my laptop running Win XP SP2 with AVG anti-virus.

TCP and FTP packets are systematically deleted by Firewall setting or my system. I tried these tools that rewrite the registry entries for the TCP/IP protocol in Windows XP, but nothing seems to fix. Everything that affects the TCP fails systematically:
[My browser tells me that the connection was reset during any process, AVG says automatic updates failure but 1] I always got ping www.yahoo.fr and strangest of all, Skype connects properly (likely because it uses another protocol and also because it is in the exception list from my firewall).
Here is that I only have the native Win XP firewall and not others (license AVG, I've got is only to protect web, mail and virus).

Another thing is that the problem persists even when I turn off the firewall or if I play around with the settings.

    Help, please.

    Hello

    Check this short work around:
    Start the CMS (control console)
Then type this command: * ipconfig / renew *.

  • WSD port for printers and TCP/IP ports monitor, what is the difference?

There are a lot of discussions on IP etc. addresses for printer problems. There is no mention of a new feature for the port for printers, WSD port for plug-and-play printers, I assume that the IP addresses have no importance with WSD, my printer is vaguely configured for the WSD port and TCP/IP port, can someone please expain

Here is a description I found

The WSD Port Monitor is a new printer port monitor in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.  This port monitor supports printing on network devices that are designed to include Web Services for devices (WSD) technology.  Services Web for devices allows devices connected to the IP-based network announce their functionality and to provide these services to customers using the Web Services Protocol.  Clients and devices WSD communicate on the network using a series of SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) messages on UDP and HTTP (S).  WSD for devices offers a plug-and-play network experience that is similar to the installation of a USB device.  Services Web for devices also defines a security profile that can be extended to provide additional protection and authentication by using certificates based on the device.

WSD is not a port, but a port monitor.  A port monitor looks at information from the TCP/IP port and makes routing or changes based on what happens in the port.

This link has some in the description of the depth of the WSD port monitor:

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2008/02/11/WS2008-the-WSD-port-monitor.aspx

Back to the comparison of the IP address as a P.O. box.  Once the letter arrives in the POST box, someone needs to come empty the box or letters are going no where.

When the data comes in the TCP/IP port a port monitor is where I look for that to happen.  The WSD port monitor would take over this function from the standard TCP/IP port monitor.

  • BlackBerry playbook

Anyone knows when are we going to get Skype for blackberry playbook?
I'm sure that everyone who got a playbook are willing to pay for it if it's going to be the case! Skype developers can you please make the application for the playbook of bb.

    Hello

If Skype for the playbook will be history as for all other BB models, you're in for a long wait!

All BB users have requested, begging,... Since 2008-2009 to get Skype on the BB, but it's still not available and no word from Skype on the why, which leaves only when...

Some purists will respond that it is available for customers of Verizon in the United States and 3 customers in the United Kingdom, drunk as everyone knows, is not what we want!

So: good luck getting a response on the 'when' the question of Skype...

  • Connections TCP A660 satellite as web browsers do not work

    Hello

I have problems with the wireless on my Satellite A660 with the Broadcom network adapater 5.60.48.35 driver version.
I have a wireless network in my house. Several other devices can access the internet through it with no problems.

My computer has been able to access the other wireless networks in the past, even though I had some problems with some network glitch, but I don't know if that is related to the problem see.

Currently, my computer can connect to my home network and talk with other wireless devices.
It can also connect to the internet via a UDP connection (Skype works fine) on the wireless. However, TCP connections like web browsers do not work.

I can connect to the internet via wired LAN without any problem through the same router as the wireless network, so I'm sure that the problem is the card my computer wireless.

Using the command ipconfig I see that my computer gets an IP address on the network. I turned off the IPv6 functionality in my network card, because IPv6 is not supported by my router and I thought that might create a problem, but it has made no difference. I've udpated the NIC driver, but the most recent version was already on my computer when I got it.

Can anyone suggest possible fixes or troubleshooting I can do?

    Thank you

    > Currently, my computer can connect to my home network and talk with other wireless devices.
It can also connect to the internet via a UDP connection (Skype works fine) on the wireless. However, TCP connections like web browsers do not work.

I'm afraid I put t understand the issues; This means that you are connected to the wireless router but are not able to load Web pages?
    Is this good?

Have you tested the Wlan connectivity without the use of any encryption on the router settings? Test this in my case, the questions were very similar, and this phenomenon was linked to a type that is not supported for encryption.

  • Connect with the gas on TCP/IP Analyzer

Overview: I am trying to contact several Thermoscientific via TCP/IP gas analyzers. I have successfully set up the MAX connections and think I'm pretty close to being able to connect these data in real time.

Questions: I'm not very familiar with TCP/IP or Modbus and clearly am not quite understand the documentation. I can succesfully open the TCP connection and do not benefit from an error. My problem lies in the plug correctly good values to the vi MB Ethernet Master query reading record keeping. If someone could help, it would be fantastic.

    What I have so far:

I don't get any errors, but I don't read all the operations to be registered. I use a Trace level SO2 43i model ThermoScientific Analyzer. According to the manual, I am interested in register numbers are 40001 and 40002.

I have attached the vi. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a solution! It turns out that the ID of the unit must be the same as the numeric part of the model number for a specific parser. She does not mention this anywhere in the documentation (at least, not that I could find). I posted my solution (vi) in case someone else wants to use them or to see what I did to solve problems. Thanks for the help!

  • LabView to access the TCP/IP ESP8266 Server

    Hello world!

I am an artificial intelligence system and must be monitorated on Wifi. I use a 12 ESP8266 to create a TCP/IP server. To test the server, I send data to port 80 and view by google chrome, the string is displayed correctly. The problem appears when I try to required data via TCP/IP client in LabView. I have tried a large number of ports with the same thing: held ESP account activity lights when LabView is trying to start a comunication and when timeout occurred. I'm a beast on communication networks, and for this reason, I'll have a lot of trouble in communication. Someone has an idea how to solve this problem? Thank you.

I discovered the problem. When you configure ESP8266 to act as a server, it accepts only HTTP request, so a TCP/IP connection will get nothing. You need the GET HTTP range block, so that you can communicate ESP with LabView.

  • Perhaps TCP/IP - no internet

Presario SR 2032 X does not connect to the internet. Run DIAGS, spent first two, fails tcp/ip.

I tried to recover total. Formatted disk and still the same problem.

Tried to disable the NIC built in and separate installation. The same problem. I know that the internet is very well because I have another computer that is able to connect to the same modem cable / cable.

So, is it possible something about MBoard went wrong? Thought with the new facility that all problems would be gone. Same thing with another network card. Nope.

    Any ideas?

You said that your computer is directly connected to the cable modem.

Sometimes, the power must be recycled on cable modem, before it will give a valid ip address to a different network adapter.

Also which IP address is your computer becomes?

You can find it using the following commands...

    Start, run, CMD (enter)

    IPCONFIG/ALL

  • Python client for the received string of the server TCP Labview unflatten

How do decode you, unzip a string flattened in Python which was sent by a LabVIEW TCP server?

I want to Exchange data via loopback. That's why I take a sine wave and flatten it to string and sent on the network through ServerSine.vi. So I have to decode the incoming data in a way that I have good numerical values as when I draw in LabVIEW. I did so far in python_client.py, but the values are wrong.

Does anyone know how to decode this correctly?
