TCS record alias Configuration

Hello world

I'm trying to set up an alias record which let in some of the description of H323id or the E164 of the calling party.

Is it posible to and variables in the description so that to take into consideration?

Kind regards

Federico

For the moment, is not out of the box solution. I'm not aware that there are

variables on the TCS, which could be used to check that.

As the CHT supports an API, it could be possible to generate a kind of service policy

for VCS who creates and places the call to the TCS and adds the identification of the appellant as a kind

information about the record. (somewhat like a conductor for the record; perhaps this might be a feature)

request for the conductor)

  • TCS recorded video playback using video endpoint

    Hello

I've deployed a Telepresence from Cisco Content Server (TCS 5.3) and met with problem regarding on how to play videos recorded by video endpoint.

Under modify records, I don't see an option or the option 'Make check-in available for play on the endpoints '.

Referring on the Administrator's guide TCS it is said that "If this box is not on the page of registration of amendment, a site Content Server Manager has not configured the prefixes necessary to an alias of reading E.164 and H.323 reading ID to communicate with a site manager for more information. What does that mean?

And where I can configure the reading reading alias/H323 ID?

The TCS is registered as SIP and H323 (E.164) on the control of VCS.

Recorded content have been updated with the recording of "publish".

Thank you very much for the help.

    Best regards

    Acevirgil

    You must do the following:

Key 'Premium résolution' option must be installed.

Record configuration, see the Site settings, such as 'Bridge', not 'Terminal '.

Enter the prefixes to use for recording, and also for playback, it may not be the same.

Note that prefix of reading options will be unavailable unless the resolution option key Premium is installed.

Also note the playback using the SIP is not supported at this stage.

  • How to stop the TCS "Record Black Screen" permanently?

    Hello

I have a TC7.3.4 SX80 recorded 10.5 CUCM and integrated AV system, conductor XC4.0 integrated with CUCM using SIP Trunk, telepresence server TS 4.2 (4.23) is used as bridge Chief of Orchestra and TCS 7.0 is integrated with CUCM using SIP Trunk.

I added TCS as attending the Conference model of driver self-composed and active "appear as a recording device' and 'video muted initially' options in avancΘs auto composed of participants. But still, I could see that black record is displayed if the Conference starts.

I have a record configured in AV touch screen button to record video calls from point to point and endpoint hosted calls multisite with TCS, basically if someone presses the record button initiated SX80 endpoint to alias TCS that record the camera or video call. I need to stop recording black screen in this scenario too.

    Thank you best regards &,.

    Nikhil Jayan

I just tested with TCS S7.0 as a participant in a telepresence Server 4.2 and XC4.1 conductor self-composed.  When it is connected through the telepresence server, TCS appears as a red record icon in the upper left corner of the screen, and I do not see the 'Recording' screen that you would if you were connected point-to-point for the CHT.  That said, if you do the special appeal of the SX80 endpoint to the CLD, then Yes, you will see the screen of "Recording" of the CLD and there is no way to remove it, unless the call goes through the telepresence server.

There was several enhancement requests in the past to hide or disable the 'Recording' screen that comes from the CLD, the CSCup47470 and the CSCty83791.  If it's something you like, suggest that contact your provided with the bug ID or account manager.

  • Restore 'My Documents' and 'Public records' alias after moved folder

I moved my folder "Documents" of the user, as long as the public 'Documents' of my boot drive to a new drive for storage of files, I added.

To do this, I opened the properties of the folder, the location tab and used the move... button to direct to the new location.

After, my "Documents" library entry shows two folders 'Documents '.  Before the move, these folders have been listed with the alias "My Documents" and "Documents", which was a welcome orientation for the scope of these two files the same name.

How to recreate these aliases at this point?

Well, it's good. It is a common mistake for people to hurt set the new location as D:\ just for example, which means the entire root of the drive's "documents folder" (not exactly the end of the world, but it is difficult to undo and even harder to explain).  Anyway, you avoid this pitfall.

The word "public" shown is not actually part of the name of the documents folder (not the 'my' on your own file).  It covers based on the presence of a text file inside the folder that told him of the special Act.  The folder itself is still called 'Documents' (complete actual path of C:\users\public\Documents), but the folder icon shows "Public Documents" because there is a file with hidden text in the file called desktop.ini telling him to see it.

This part is pointing shell32 is just to find the English version of "Official Documents".  You could do what you want, such as:

The folder looks like that it's called "Public things", but we call it actually still just 'Documents '.  The name is set according to the text of Desktop.ini.

So in short, just to put this text file in the folder, mark it as a file system / hidden, and it will allow you to set the name of "presents itself as" to anything you want.

  • Remove the video of TCS in the layout when flow on demand through TMS ' record'

    System information:

    TMS v13.2.2

TCS v5.2 (configured as a terminal)

    4510 Codian MCU v4.4

The TCS and the MCU are registered at TMS.  I work on the management of all our calls more centrally by TMS and struggled to integrate the CHT in conferences.  I don't want the black screen of the "registration...". "appears as a participant at the disposal of the participants.  I know these can be configured manually to rule out it, but I want to automate it as much as possible.

On the MCU, aliases are configured to not send the video to the MCU by default; It silently records in the background.  All conferences configured directly on the MCU without the "help" of TMS call out to all the endpoints - including the alias TCS - and only the video settings are visible.  The content is saved properly.

When conferences are planned through TMS, however, the TCS alias is composed in just like before, but it also sends a video feed to the MCU - a black screen with "Recording" on this subject.  I tried to call from the system directory and what makes an "external" call, but both give me the same result.  I guess that's because the MCU and TMS do not share the same phone book.  What is the reason?  When this happens, the MCU is not the ability to cut the flow of the CS during the video content.

Currently, my plan is to have every endpoint called via TMS scheduling and then have my technicians dial to the CS manually after that trial is over.  Automation is my aim, however

    Any help would be great.

    Hello Luke.

You can very easily cut the video and/or audio from the TCS in your conference.  When you create the reservation in MSD and have your MCU added, go into 'Connection settings' and it should be two boxes on the right-hand side where you can trim the video/audio.

Try it and let us know.

  • "Maximum number of aliases reached record?

One of our clients has a Content Server v6.0 build 3528.  It creates several alias for future growth record in the classes.  It has SIP off but becomes "Recording alias maximum reached" after creating a 23.  Aren't you able to create unlimited aliases with H323?

Do not have the v6, but in the earlier version, you need to configure the TCS as 'Bridge' not 'Terminal' for this to work - I think that this would be the case in v6.x so.

  • TCS Auto Dial with MCU

I have 4 points of C20 endpoint that will call in a standing conference that is configured on the MCU 4501.  The customer has also a TCS as we would like to record calls with.

If I place the TCS to call the microcontroller on a permanent conference it never ends.  All my clients can end it calls but how am I supposed to get the TCS to put an end to his call?

For now, I tried to settign the Permanent Conference call TCS, but then the TCS records when nothing happens and never ends his appeal.

Is there a better way to implement?  I don't want to use Adhoc calls and it must be easy for the customer.

Most of the time the CHT requires a VCS.

You can try to do only one, the "President" of your Conference permanent.

Set the Conference to terminate when only participants are present.

Configure the alias for the TCS as an endpoint.

Configure a specific permanent conference to call for the specific TCS as a preconfigured participant alias.

Join the call of the President.

Join the call as the participant.

    MCU call TCS.

    Chair leaves the meeting.

    Meeting move out.

While I don't have this Setup myself, we are essentially doing the same thing with an outgoing PSTN, so I don't see why it would be different.

The TCS is registered to the GA on the MCU as well?

    Why no VCS?

  • Stream in multicast TCS without SNS

    Hi all

We have just instaled a TCS without any other server SN ory MXE3500, only TCS.

Now, I tried to configure the setting of multicast on the TCS.

My question is the exact configuration to enable a multicast on the TCS stream.

    1. I created a new server with only multicast enable media and have also before on Windows Server creates a new Publishing Point

What I am now mising is the Point in the Administrator's Guide, I'm must run the "multicast announcements Assistant" is that right to run this wizard?

If don't have any run this wizard and after that also saw in this folder IIS services manager * *.nsc was created.

When to open the url http://1.1.1.1/test.nsc Windows Media Player attempts to load, but Iafter awhile I am getting an error (cannot read the file)

I have also sniffing with Wireshark and see that I receive the Multicast stream, I configured my PC into the Publshing Point, to do a request for membership to the specific group (which seems to be that the network is correctly configured).

Interesting is, for me, what coud be wrong.

We have n SW Version 5.3 build TCS-3316

    Any help much appreciated.

    Concerning

    Georg

    Georg,

This works for Mulricast and unicast streams, but make sure you of that multicast is enabled on your network.

Create Point to publish multicast on the TCS server, once created, configure the multicast IP address and port and make sure multicast is enabled on the publishing point.  You don't need to run the wizard announcement.

Next to configure TCS to use Publishing Points.  Configure the multimedia server, a model under the recording/Management Configuration and an alias record.  This will bind the Point to publish create on behalf of the H.323/SIP event used to start the process of event recording/Live TCS.

Once everything is set up the component the CHT by using the H.323/SIP name will launch a live multicast event.  The event can be see at http://IPTCS/tcs/data / _Point publish.nsc Note that there is an underscore before the name of the Publishing Point and the name is sensitive to case.

    Hope this helps

  • TMS - TCS booking bug?

    Hello!

A client of ours brought something to our attention that I could not find money for.  When a conference is for TMS and you include a content server, the e.164 alias that TMS will use to connect to the content server gets changed after saved the Conference.  Please refer to the attached picture for an example.

    This was seen on the following combinations;

    TMS 13.2, TCS S5.0

    TMS 14.3, TCS S5.3

In each case the TCS is registered in the VCS as a gateway.  The standard booking > page new conference has been used.  It didn't matter if one personal record alias was used, or a system generic alias record.

One thing to note: If a H323 ID has been used instead of the e.164 alias, the obtained address was not changed.

Has anyone else seen elsewhere?  Y at - it a bug that I missed?

    Thank you!

It's not a bug, I remember reading the documentation for it, but I don't remember where...

According to the doc, TMS will create an individual alias for each to the application so, expected the TCS drop out for a reason, or the Conference being disconnected, it will, when reconnected, continue recoding to the original file, rather than create a new record. Thus, you will end up with just a single file instead of two or more separate session files.

If my memory is good; This only happens when the TCS is configured as bridge as opposed to Terminal (not 100% sure of that even if.)

In the chart below you can see the difference, however, is as well as, in this case, the first two digits in the two aliases are the prefix of the gateway.

  • TCS registration name

Is it possible to automacitally entry date on behalf of recording using the recording alias?

    Hi, Patrick!

On a TCS S5.3 it works very well for me.

There are 'name' in the 'default registration information". If I let it is empty, it will use

the recording Alias name + Date.

And this is how it is, 'TEST Alias' is the record and all Alias name which would be:

  • Statement and alias in VeriStand System Explorer

I have the following questions about the procedures and the alias configuration in System Explorer of VeriStand:

    (a) using methods that States that "you can set up procedures to run only once, more than once, or in response to a particular event like an alarm. While I know how to triger a procedure on an alarm, how to set up several procedures to run only once or continuously at startup? The checkbox 'on start run the procedure"only allows to choose a single procedure.

    (b) when you add more than one alias in the Explorer of the system, the name of the alias by default '%s' which basically returns the channel name without path information. Is it possible to return the name of level one pathname instead of channel name (or several) to the top? Thus, for example, if the full channel path is "controller/Simulation models/models/CCH_v1_0_bad/Inports/Islington 220kV Bus EAD/CB668/host_close", I would like to have an alias of "CB668 host_close", or "Islington 220kV Bus EAD CB668 host_close.

    (c) I don't seem to be able to map aliases to the controls and indicators on the VeriStand workspace. Alias appear just not at all in the list of the channels of the controls and indicators. Is there something that I am missing?

I think that the help topic refers to the fact that procedures may call other procedures. For example, you may have a boot procedure that just had the following structure:

    1: call the A Proc

    2: call Proc B

    3: dial the Proc C

    4: Goto1

In regard to alias names, which is a good suggestion to be able to use more of the path the name comes from. To work around the problem, you could look at using the import function to create aliases, which imports a standard delimited by tabs of the file and you can create names based on some agreement you choose.

The map control on controls of the workspace has two methods of selecting a channel. If you have aliases configured, you can use the drop-down list directly to choose an alias. If you don't have aliases or want to browse a channel without alias, you can hit the button browse, where you see the system tree.

  • System API for Configuration management configuration

    Hi all

I've been playing around with the API system configuration for now a bit and I see it as a great way for companies to use as part of a management of global configuration utility. For example, if a customer wishes to put in place a new rack test with the same alias configuration, hardware and software OR installed then the API system configuration helps with most of this. I have already created a simple utility that can be used to query the currently installed hardware (of a local or remote system) and then programmatically rename aliases based on a file loaded configuration or manual entry. Similarly, the import/export of MAX features can also be used. My application of this would be mainly non - RT and for most of the PXI products, but a good design could work for both.

So, my question to the community is actually on the side where I did not use the API of the System Configuration, but that makes a request of the software installed on a system. The software querying functionality of the Configuration API of the system is really only targets of RT and not the controllers based on Windows-oriented. I would like to be able to export a list of the software/drivers installed on an older system and then compare it with what is installed on a new system to make it easier for customers to determine if they have everything you need. I know that the export of MAX or the report has a list of installed software, but is this analysis of the best way to get the software installed (it's a beast of a file)? Someone at - it a better method?

    Kind regards

Not sure if the VI attached will work across different Windows operating system because it uses a powershell command and I don't know how well the used command will work in all 32/64-bit applications... But so far this small VI I came with is the software I want to interrogate. I hope that it is useful for others and, as always, suggestions for improvement are welcome!
