  I would like to preface this question with the fact that I am new to VBS programming.  What I want to do is to create a plugin. Most of it is done, but I'm having a problem with the addition of two times to a.  I have a text file that stores the date and time separated by a tab character.  This file format was designed to excel.  When I bring him both the date and time are in different channels and I can not figure out a way to add both and either replace them or even place it in a separate variable.  Here is an example.

  The first problem is that your datetime format string was wrong, you need to use:

  File.Formatter.TimeFormat = "MM/DD/YY SS.fff.

  Or maybe if your year is first of all it must be:

  File.Formatter.TimeFormat = "YY/MM/DD SS.fff.

  The second question was slippery.  The newsgroups (0) you throw combines the ProcessedChannel values correctly, but you were not successfully picking off those that you wanted to leave Chan (0).  I don't really know why the method you were using did not work, but I found a similar one that does.  Note that I've only changes part SUB New_File (file, ChanNames) of the code, not the SUB Previous_File (file, ChanNames) part of the code (got tired of typing).

• With Internet connection sharing common data corruption

  I encounter the corruption of common data on all the machines on my network other than the host with ICS enabled on my connection by modem. Websites is scrambled characters, blocks and streaks everywhere are images, encrypted connections constantly throw error SSL and downloads fail are for control. The internet is virtually unusable on any of the computers on my network sharing the connection (a former windows xp box and my macbook pro). Everything works fine on the host machine however.

  I tried ICS with a clean install of Windows 7 and Vista SP2 - both suffer from the same problem. I tested with a 3g modem to dialup being the issue, and it has exactly the same problem with ICS. If I boot Windows XP Pro SP3 on the host computer and use it to ICS there is no data corruption, and everything works fine on machines in the network.

  No third-party firewalls or anti-virus software. Tried with and without the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials - no different.

  Hi Janpingel,

  If the ICS works correctly with broadband, then there is a problem with the package with your dial-up access. You can test with another dial-up connection to see if the problem persists.

• Sometimes my VI does not add an extension of .tdms and corrupts data

  I have a VI in Labview real-time, which generates a number of timetraces containing voltage readings. I use the .tdms for this format. Most of the time it works perfectly, but sometimes it won't add the .tdms for my data extension. All resulting data is stored on my PXI system, but it's corrupted permenantly because no program will recognize this file type it is. Furthermore, I can't change it somehow, or even remove it. I tried to use webVI, but I get and error: file not found.

  The same thing happens in Filezilla, I try to delete, move, or rename the file and get an error: "file not found".

  These files hold massive amounts of space on my hard drive PXI, but I'm unable to remove or retrieve them. Any ideas?

• How to convert one or more files LVM of large file TDMS (500 MB, 32 M samples - 2 channels)

  I would like to be able to read at least 4 million lines of data total 32 million lines at a time. The TDMS file has given for 2 channels and no time data. If I can convert TDMS files in one or more files LVM, I can read large files of LVM using the JMP software.  I'm using Labview 2009. Please provide suggestions.

  Hi Manish,

  For your problem with is .tdms to .lvm, take a look at this forum and This example of community.  I checked out, and in my opinion, he should be able to work well for you in regards to creating multiple files .lvm from single .tdms file.  The only thing that could be a problem is the time requirement to enter all in LV, and saves data to several files, but you will encounter when you work with large consumed data.

  I would also suggest that you take a look at tiara if you are searching by analyzing large data sets.  The program is designed to manage large sets of data and make the analyzation on the data.

  I store the data field up to 3 months to create historical reports or analysis of the conditions on the ground.

  The requirements of the project are already set by the customer. The client wants to complete 10K to 28 channels. He cannot afford the minimum sample rate or data loss.

  I tried with the TDMS files to store 10 kech. / S (size SGL) given to 28 channels (sine wave); the size of the file is approximately 3.5 GB for 1 hour. The full-day data come around 84 GB, I'm not sure of the size of the TDMS file that can support up to as much of the file size, if it does not then support once again, I have to save the data to the full day in the whole of the bunch of TDMS files. Now if the customer wants to see the full data report 1 time in graphical format or in a table the task to perform the action takes around 2 to 3 minutes or some time it came up with an error like "not enough memory". If at the end of the day if the user wants to see the report full day how I can provide the report who have such huge data.

  I use the LocalSystem PXI RT with a hard drive. PXI have always given 7 days as a backup, or in case of failure of the connection with the server, the backup data is in PXI.

  So my question now even than the database or a file format I have to chosse store comprehensive data.

  If there is no techinque to compress data, please suggest me.

  I have two loops of different data acquisition. A slow acquisition of CAN (10 s/s) and an analog acquisition faster (30 samples taken at a frequency of 300 Hz), I need to synchronize these data for tdms writes for later analysis in DIAdem.

  for a professional solution, you do not want to synchronize the devices on a hardware level. Since the material CAN work differently to 'traditional' DAQ devices, there are important things to take care of.

  Please look in the viewfinder to LV example for the word "CAN". For example, you can choose the example 'several cards CAN and DAQmx map Wfm Input'.

• Data corruption FXP user variables

  I have stumbled on this nasty problem yesterday and am looking for help (please).

  I used the scan engine and User Variables to send filtered data modules FPGA C Series in the OTR.

  When the fixed Point of Variables data user was read in the OTR, it was transformed using the primitive Double-precision Float.

  The result has been that positive were out correct but negative numbers has become corrupt.

   

  Other tests revealed the following:

   

  • This has occurred on the target of the RT, the target PC worked (tested and converted User Variables were published network)
  • This was produced for the User Variables (app 3 FXP representations and that have touched all of them) as a data source
  • If the data source has been a constant FXP then conversion to a DBL worked properly on the target of RT
  • If the data source has been probed or FXP control output, then the data is displayed correctly, it's the conversion only after the DBL occurred by corruption
  • Access to Variables such as a DBL using the shared Variable API via reading do not corrupt Variable data for the network publishes user read RT target Variables
  • Access to Variables such as FXP then convert to DBL using the API Variable shared via scanned reading corrupt the data read from the target RT
  • This was also the case for the simple primitive Float precision

  The CAR has already been filed for this issue. What I will do, is to check that I can reproduce the problem with RIO 3.4 and update of the CAR in order to take account of the current situation.

• Data corrupted on Easy Transfer CD

  Hello, I'm running a problem trying to open my CD easy to transfer to my new computer. I put all the files from the old computer on several CD and now when I put the first disc in, Easy Transfer charges almost all of it but then I get this message: "there was an error reading the #1 media. The data could be corrupted.

  I can not simply ignore this CD and continue on the second disk car AND need the CDs to load in the order. Is that what I can do or is all of my info lost?

  Try cleaning the CD carefully with a soft cloth that will Center on board to make sure a task or fingerprint is not the cause of the problem.

  No, you can not ignore just the CD - they should be done in the same order that they were created.

  Check the process on another computer (selection temporary special folder as destination so that it will be easy to remove later) and see if it works.  If so, we know that it is probably a problem with the Vista machine.  If this isn't the case, it is probably a problem with the discs.  At least, we will have a better idea on how to address the problem.

  By chance, is the old yet workable PC and containing all the data, then you can try this again?

  I received no data after July 21 in my EPG WMC of zap2it.  I have reset the TV signal using a slightly different zip code.  Now, I get ABC and Fox, Rovi data instead of zap2it, but not NBC, CBS and CW, which is a secondary string of the NBC Channel.  NBC and CW are 5 RF channel and CBS is channel RF 11.  These strings are not in the original configuration, I guess because they are not in the database of Rovi EPG for my region, Tri-Cities, TN-GO TNT antenna.  They are a search for additional channels and the signal strength is 100%.  But there is no data to guide them.  When I try to change the source of the list for the channel, it is said ' Don't Show no ads for this channel.

  We run Lab Manager 4, so we still have ESXi 4.1 hosts in our infrastructure that we cannot upgrade to ESXi 5.x.

  In one of our sites, we regularly see corruption VMFS, where some virtual computer files can not be read/deleted/listed.  We are trying to add new storage and migrate our current VMs out of corrupted data stores, but I would like to know what is originally this corruption and how do I stop him from happening in the future?

• TDMS file corruption when using FTP

  I use FTP to transfer files a cRIO to computer TDMS.  The transfer looks like it works; However, when I try to open the crowd using TDMS files Viewer, I get an error indicating that the file in not a PDM standards.  That being said, I use Windows to FTP the same file to compare.  I use the PDM viewer to open this file very well... no problems.  Have any ideas?

  Did you find the difference between the size of the TDMS files before and after the transfer? If so, maybe it's quite possible that the "transfer mode" software FTP questions, maybe you can try to use "binary" instead of "text" for fashion?

  I have very little experience in management of the virtual computer.  However, I'm running a server of VRTX Dell (3 blades) (ESXi 5.1.0 Update 1) (currently 13 Windows Server 2012 R2 VM).

  Last year, after receiving notice of the possibility of Corruption CBT, I lived some of the steps in 1940 KB of Veeam.  I guess I didn't know that ESXi should be corrected first.  I went through the steps involving patching Veeam and manually reset the VM.

  Gravity is this CBT problem?

  I have many VM / partitions that exceed the size of 128 GB.

  I have no experience with ESXi patch and using the CLI Interface.

  Is it possible to patch my current update of the ESXi 5.1.0 1 without having to do a full version ESXi upgrade on each blade.  If so, what is easy to understand the procedure of installation of the patch?

  There the good tutorials on the use of the CLI Interface?

  I want to be able to fix everything without stop the virtual machine.

  After several Dell Webex sessions, totally at least 4 hours, the solution was determined to be downgrading the MEGARAID SAS pilots to the exact version installed by Dell of origin.

  I am trying resetting CBT in each machine virtual, followed by a full backup.
