I need to locate the audio device before get drivers?
I know this is a very old problem but I tried for 12 months with no result.
Any help appreciated.
You are still using the good old classic? Surely she s or it was a nice laptop but maybe it's time for something faster? ;)
Back to your question;
On the European driver Toshiba page, you can find drivers Tecra 9100.
You should look in the Archive (in product type click Archive instead of the laptop)
There are two audio drivers for Win XP.
She s Yamaha audio driver version
I guess the 184.108.40.2062 is a more recent who is available and I think that you should use it!
I own a Satellite A200 laptop computer with Windows Vista.
Sometimes when I put my laptop in 'stand by' mode or 'Hibernate', he wakes up with no audio device. (Error - no installed audio device). The problem is solved by restarting my computer, or by placing it in the back to 'stand by' and turning it back on.
I reinstalled my OS using the recovery cd - and the exsists yet problem.
(Version 1.30, Audio bios driver ver. 220.127.116.1174)
Is this a known problem or is it just my computer? I'm afraid that it is a hardware problem. (The laptop is less then 1 month).
Thanks (and sorry for my "rusty" English :-()
Can you please check this Microsoft article? Maybe this will help.
By the way: is your A200 with or without built-in webcam?
I just reinstalled xp pro on an old pc Tower, everything works fine apart from no sound device?, I read a number of responses to this topic here, but none of the solutions seem to work: (, downloaded and installed the driver ac97 and Realtek codec, but still shows don't not an audio device?, any help much appreciated) Thanks :)
This all the troubleshooting steps you have done?
The Fixit Audio running can help get the audio problem solved.
Run the Fixit and check if it works.
Answer please if you have any questions.
I just got my hands on a 9100 second hand and have been re - install XP Pro. I was going well and had everything except the card SD not working after downloading all the drivers concerned off Toshiba site.
Micorsofts update the site decided to download new drivers for the card his Yamaha, and now it says NO device.
I reinstalled the drivers from the toshiba site, but despite everything I do, it still shows no device.
Ive tried reinstalling the software Synth as well, but having said that I need to run the re-installation of synth program. But there is no directory on the drive for what Yamaha and no entry in the Add/Remove for yamaha synth window or in the start menu.
I'm at a loss where to go then, short from once again and re-installing the OS to the top, and it's a good day's work.
Is a cleanup utility exists then I can just redo the part of sound card?
Help please. :-(
It seems that there is a problem with his Yamaha card driver after the installation of the Microsoft Windows XP SP2.
Seems that you need to update the audio driver of Yamaha!
After a short investigation, I found this site:
[Do not install SP2 if you have a card his Yamaha AC - XG | http://www.housing.hawaii.edu/resources/support/yamahaac-xg.htm]
"No Audio device" said "Sound and Audio Devices Properties" Windows XP Pro sp3.
Before installing the video card drivers, I took some advice to uninstall integrated video card.
Now I have no sound. I have to re - install drivers NVIDIA GeForce 6150 for THE motherboard?
I tell myself that if I do, I can re - install the Realtek drivers. I uninstalled them think today I could install as I did a few years ago (but now MS Update does not offer me all Realtek drivers).
And do I have to uninstall the list in Device Manager for ' AMD high definition Audio Device "(I suspect it could be the video card drivers)?
Here is the record of SR1913WM.
I noticed on the specifications that you have validated your new video card, it has a HDMI port, correct?
Well, what happened is that your PC think that you have installed not only a new video card, but also a new card audio and it disabled the embedded video and integrated audio system. Video card you have an audio chip embedded HDMI (AMD HD audio's HDMI).
So, all you have to do is go into BIOS and find the onboard audio setting.
It will have the value auto or off.
Change the setting to "Enabled". Save it by pressing the F10 key at this time here and again when you exit the BIOS (save settings and exit).
On reboot, everything will be fine again.
Hello, my desktop PC HP Pavilion P6-2475EA, AMD A8, 3.2 GHz running Win8 lost its audio after an IDT High Definition Audio Codec update failure. Look in the Control Panel, the IDT device is considered taken ok, if I check the audio devices - there is none. The speaker icon is red with a cross. I tried to reload the original device driver & that makes no difference, I also tried the latest driver - no change. It was working fine until I was invited to be updated - yuk.
Any ideas - ciao Tom
You are the very welcome, Tom.
Sorry, that didn't work.
Something does not seem just to get a system restore disk error, and now the checkdisk is frozen.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
If the checkdisk remains frozen, you won't the choice but to shut down the PC and see if it will reboot.
I wonder if it is possible the hard drive failed on you.
I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop Dell Inspiron 9400. This laptop has Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced HD Audio integrated. The sound worked fine before the reinstall.
Now I have no sound (other than the boring system beeps) and I get an error message that there is no audio device whenever I try to play an audio file.
I tried to reinstall the drivers from the CD of origin and on the dell download site. For both, to Midway through the installation it stops and tells me that there is no audio device.
When I look in Device Manager there is no audio device listed and when I go to the components section of system of information there is no audio device.
Any ideas of what I can do to force the computer to recognize the processor integrated?
I ended up resolving this issue. It is not enough to reinstall the Sound Blaster disc. There was another driver who had to be downloaded from the Dell website before Sound Blaster could even see the audio device.
SIGMATEL - pilot - applies to the STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio
The Dell Web site lists this driver option, but it obviously wasn't. As soon as it was installed my audio device has been found, and I was able to install the Sound Blaster CD.
I hope this helps someone else.

I have it does not. Vista SP2 tries to install an audio driver Conextant HD, but it fails to install.
I have my computer hooked up to a HD TV with the HDMI cable. The sound also pretended on television. The HDMI cable is connected to my Radeon HD 6950. I use Realtek HD Audio Manager with the ATI HMDI default Audio device. All records are up-to-date.When I put my TV off and leave the computer running, I go back and turn on the TV and the computer behaves as the TV is not plugged, but only for audio. The video is still there. In the audio playback window, I noticed that Windows would go to the optical audio device, even though there is nothing plugged into this Jack. I disabled all other devices and left only the HDMI device, so it will not move on. Now when I turn on the TV it is just like nothing is plugged in at all for the audio.Any help is greatly appreciated!
1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
2. which edition of Windows are you running?
Example: Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.
It could also be a possibility that a manual entry is required from your TV to the HDMI connection, please check your Menu\setting where the HDMI and PC connection is checked once it is connected to options to switch the Audio and TV screens.
Please follow the steps mentioned below to help solve the problem.
To disable improvements audio speakera. open sound by clicking on the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type soundand then click on sound.b. on the playback tab, click speakers, and then click Properties.c. click the enhancements tab and then select the check box turn off all the improvements .If you do not see the enhancements tab in the speakers Properties dialog box, these features are not available for your speakers, and this procedure is not applicable to your computer. If disabling audio enhancements solves the audio problem you are having, this indicates usually that your audio driver needs to be updated.
Reference:- why don't I hear audio when I connect my computer to a HDTV?I hope this helps.
Just installed Windows 8 in Latitude D610... no audio device comes silent... y at - it an easy fix?
You have posted a question of Windows 8 in a forum for Windows 7 .
Repost in Windows 8 here forums
I've just formatted my hard drive and installed Windows XP Pro.
I ve installed all the latest drivers but I m in trouble with one. audio driver for the yamaha ac device.
I get the yellow mark next to him.
So I tried to uninstall, but when I reinstall I cannot start code 10.
It s the latest driver so I put t know what s causing the problem.
Can anyone shed any light on the subject, thanks rob
The outcome is known for me.
The audio driver is simply not compatible with Win XP SP2
Yamaha AC - XG driver used the PortCls function to check the version of the operating system. XP Service Pack 1, PortCls function is changed, while the Yamaha rider cannot get operatingsystem version correctly. This problem also happens to Windows XP SP2.
Yamaha already provides the fixed driver. The fixed driver version is the following;
yacxg.sys 18.104.22.1682 with software synthesizer
yacxgc.sys 22.214.171.12452 free software synthesizer
Recently bought an A7 and was convinced all the preinstalled software Toshiba slowed things. Managed to fresh install windows, then use Toshiba Apps Installer to restore items that I really wanted to. Everything went well and the computer is about two times faster now. However, I have two following unknown devices:
(1) device type: other devices
Location: on Intel(r) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27 b 9
Hardware ID: ACPI\IFX0102
(2) device type: other devices
Places: On system compatible ACPI Microsoft
Hardware ID: ACPI\TOS620A
I installed the latest Intel Chipset drivers and no luck. Perhaps one of them is the sound card (although I have installed the drivers as well) and one of them HARD drive Protection (that I have no intention of installing anyway).
If someone can confirm what they are it would be much appreciated.
Installing drivers and utilities Toshiba should be made in the right order.
The chipset utility must be installed at the beginning and then the common modules.
You must use the form chipset the Toshiba site.
The Tecra M7 also supports the protection of the HARD drive. Normally you will find it at the last position under "Audio, video and game controllers" in Device Manager.
I found this document Toshiba how to identify an unknown device:
Maybe it helps.
So I re-installed Vista (32 w / SP2) on my Satellite L300 - 23 L after a virus and I'm having some problems:
Question n ° 1
A Code of 12 on Intel Chipset Family 4 - there are two versions of the present in the Device Manager, we hide. One who is not hidden is the one with the Code 12. I tried to install the latest drivers from Toshiba and Intel. Problem persists.
Sleeping on my judgment of the section is dimmed and the Hibernate option is missing altogether. Have you tried upgrading the BIOS, but install says that they are up-to-date.
Help! -I can find my way around a computer, but don't assume I will not know how do something, I would appreciate it if you could guide me through all the actions.
Thanks in advance. :)
According to the specifications of your Satellite L300 laptop came with VISTA 32 BIT HOME PREMIUM.
Have you installed original image recovery or your own version of the OS?
I mean with original Vista you have with your laptop you should not have these problems.
I had to reinstall windows Xp, and I can't do some of the features to be recognized.
In the Device Manager list, there is a
I have the cable network of work, so I'm assuming that is the wireless. I have tried to install the FFL website of Toshiba wireless drivers, but they just error saying no device found wireless.
How can I find out exactly what hardware devices these are and what drivers I need to download.
This Toshiba descript document how to identify an unknown device in Device Manager
I recommend to check this statement and after recognizing the device, you can try to install the right driver.
What I do on this issue is driving me crazy
Since your site of so important an OEM PC manufacturers, for example Dell / HP or laptop.
If generic PC from your site from manufacturers of motherboard or card may be its maker.
If it worked before, and you made the mistake of installing drivers WinUpdate, then Control Panel > system > hardware > Device Manager
Look for the device with the exclamation point & back the driver
