Tecra A8 - W2K SD Host Controllor pilot

My company uses Windows 2000 standard. We have recently bought some Tecra A8 that have built-in SD card readers, but there is no drivers for W2K or XP on the download page of Tohsiba for Tecra A8.

I wonder how I'm supposed to get this to work when the software is not available.

It is clearly mentioned in as '25 installation instructions. SD Controllor V1.2.0 Windows host'
So, it must exist somewhere.

Hello

What?  :|
No drivers on the Toshiba Tecra A8 page: O

Where did you get the driver? I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and found the driver for W2k and WinXP for this device.
SD Secure Module software is an update for your TOSHIBA Secure Digital-Hostcontroller.
Format memory SD lets you format that your card SD and TOSHIBA SD Memory Boot Utility will allow you to write the bootable system files on a diskette, on a memory card SD to make it bootable.

So open your eyes ;)

    Hello

It is not easy to say what the problem is here, but you can try to remove the Toshiba from your system utilities. Restart your Tecra and check if the function FN went. If so, this tool is responsible for this.

Download and install again. Perhaps this will help you solve this unusual problem.
To be honest I never, but never really heard of something similar.

  • Tecra 8000: W2K - how to operate the 2 screens at the same time

I have a tecra 8000 with win 2000 pro is installed.

Everything works fine with one exception...
Press the [fn] [f5] keys to use the device outside.

Is there a way I can get it to run 2 screens at the same time (either cloned or, preferably tv being a secondary monitor)?

If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful

    Thank you

I'm not familiar with the Tecra 8000 and W2K operating system. If there I sno good driver on Toshiba download page (I assume W2K is not supported for this model of laptop), please try to find the driver somewhere on the net. I found some info your unit has NeoMagic NM2200 (MagicMedia 256av) video card.

To use an external monitor as a second monitor, or extended display just try to use the Windows settings in display properties.

Hi!, I am currently using a Lenovo W520. And I have a problem with my complaint SDA Standard SD Host Controller driver. Can someone direct me to solved this problem? Thank you.

    Hi, Imac_T-dot,

Exactly what is the problem with the driver?

In Device Manager, is there a yellow question mark, or an exclamation point?  Code error message?

This is a new issue, or there is since childbirth?

If it occurred recently, I suggest you try going back to a restore point before the show.

If this has been a recurring problem over a period of months, etc... You may need to perform a full restore of your Windows operating system.

  • Tecra R840 - atikmpag.sys causes bluescreen

    Hello

displaying videos on my Tecra R840 sometimes I get a blue screen with the atikmpag.sys driver.

Happens to every time, but often - about one in four times or more.

The blue screen occurs especially at the beginning of the video - but sometimes also in the end.

In the download for my Tecra area, there is only one pilot display of 2012 - I have installed.

I have Windows 7 64 bit, 8 GB of RAM and the AMD Radeon HD 6450 M.

Does anyone have a tip for me?

Thank you very much in advance

    Anne

    Hello

Because this problem does not always, but sometimes, it would be very difficult to reproduce this BSOD and therefore, it is not very easy to say why the BSOD appears.

Is that file atikmpag.sys belongs to the graphics card driver.
It seems that the graphics card driver crashes, and therefore the BSOD occurs.
    But why?

    I have two different theories:
    (1) the graphics driver is not fully compatible with the new software installed, tools (games), etc., but the fact is that the Toshiba driver page does not provide all new GPU drivers for this model of laptop. The other point is that the same driver version worked correctly in the past and I m wondering why the same driver should not operate correctly now if it worked correctly in the past.

    (2) my 2nd theory is that the BSOD appears due to the higher temperature of the internal GPU. The highest temperature is mainly a reason for blockages of the system and also responsible for issues of the graphics card.

Have you tried to reinstall/recover the system? Isn't it?
I would recommend you do this using the Toshiba recovery disc. This procedure should always be made in the event of system problems.

I also recommend you to clean the modules of cooling using a jet of compressed air. That would help you get rid of the dust. Dust is mainly a reason if it comes to a temperature higher inside the laptop.

  • XP installation hang at 34 minutes to complete

    Hello

I am rebuilding a PC that stops installing XP Pro (SP 2 and 3), XP Home (SP1) and Vista at between 33 and 35 minutes to get everything as it is to install devices or I am trying the product reference - but sit (2000) entirely.

It has a Ga-8IPE1000Pro2 motherboard with an update of the BIOS F10 (the problem has not changed with the update). It is a 2.8 GHz, chipset 865PE, Type of Socket 478, with 1 GB of DDR ram.

I have deleted all unnecessary devices, exchanged everything with alternatives of working known including (IDE and SATA) HARD drive, Ram, graphics (AGP8x to PCI) card, cables, power supply, cleared the CMOS memory and flashed the BIOS.

The PC had been used by a passion for games and I only replaced the drive HARD - not sure if it worked when last used by the previous owner.

Is there BIOS settings that would not have been reset to the standard by clearing CMOS or BIOS flashing and selecting "optimized defaults"?

The article kb828267 Microsoft Knowledge Base refers to that and I will try to reach the last page of the reading of the "setupapi.log" file after restarting the installation once it was broken.

Can we see if the problem is a faulty motherboard or attached reading software problem?

    All suggestions are appretiated.

    cordially Wagga

I tried the repair after installing XP Pro on a drive using the old PC, and then put this HARD drive in the defective PC.

Yes, you can not install Windows on a hard disk on a computer then put the hard drive in another computer and loading Windows. This will simply not work.

The offer for the family image of Windows XP Edition is for you to use as nothing more than a test to see if there might be a problem with your drive. As Vista installs without problem, I wonder if it could be a driver problem. It is also attested by the fact that the complete repair facility.  I'll do more research and after return.

With respect to the loading of the log file, downloads are not allowed on MS Answers. You must use a host like Mediafire or similar file. Please do so in the future if we need to review the log files. This avoids long threads.

-Download the pilot PnP (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-55240-6&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=1005&product=3435668&sw_lang=) based host to Server 2 k 3.

-Use a program such as 7zip to extract the exe files.

-Install the printer pointing to the .inf

    or,

    (b) attempt to install using the UPD (Universal Print Driver) - http://h20331.www2.hp.com/hpsub/cache/343033-0-0-225-121.html?jumpid=ex_r2845_go/upd

Note: As indicated in the table below, the P1505 is not listed as supported a product... but it is worth trying.

    Hope this helps

  • driver & software download server "too busy"?

I was downloading the drivers and software for my new S10-3 last night, when suddenly I couldn't on the Lenovo site. I kept receiving an error message 'server busy '.

This continued on during all day Sunday also. What is happening on that a big company like Lenovo cannot host their pilot with adequate capacity download server? It's very frustrating and do not replicate a lot of confidence.

Does anyone else know the same thing?

Weekends are sometimes used for maintenance purposes, so you can deal with a problem. Give it a shot Monday

  • Install W2K on Tecra 8100

    Hi all

I am trying to install W2K on a Tecra 8100, but I think I'm doing something wrong, because it keeps failing.

If I just insert the CD it starts to start a load several files at a time when the Setup starts Windows 2000 (present at the bottom of the screen) and the installation crashes with a blue screen and the c0000221 error material unknown error \systemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll
I read that, during installation, you will need to press F5 (in the screen where you can load a SCSI or raid driver) and then choose Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC, but after doing this I get the same error.
I have no additional material attached, it's original configuration.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem and get W2K on my laptop?

    Hello

I think that this question has nothing to do with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) or similar.

I read about the error systemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll message, and there is no particular reason for this error.
Sometimes some service packs missing cause this problem and sometimes hardware malfunction (RAM or HARD drive) could be responsible for a BSOD.

You are able to install Win XP?

  • Tecra A2 asks pilot HAL (ACPI) while XP insatallation

    Hello
Hope one of you can help me with little of the issue concerning the relocation of a Tecra A2.
One of my coluges have an and I crashed the HD and have lost the CD reinsatll :-(

I hate portable reinsalling, when there is no recovery media :-(
So I hopw someone can tell me what follows, it is my first Toshiba for many years.

I would like to install the computer for him with a windows xp Pro sp2, but during the installation it asked you HAL (ACPI) driver, is there a special for this model or what schould I select in the list?

When I install with a standard ACPI driver and install the drivers for Tectra A2, most of the computer works, but when I restart, windows gives me a bootmenu recovery, is anyway to get rid of this?

I installed the latest version of the bios, and and and, but now I need help.

    Thanks in advance :-)

    Hello

First something about HAL if someone doesn t know what HAL:
    Well, I found this:
Microsoft provides the ACPI driver as part of the operating system. On systems that have an ACPI BIOS, the HAL causes the ACPI driver to load when you start the system at the base of the tree devices, where the pilot acts as interface between the operating system and the BIOS.

As far as I know the recovery CD contains Windows XP SP1a.
I visited the page of the Toshiba driver and found that there are several drivers that are required to install the operating system.
Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility V5.0.2.1002
    Intel Q332179 mobile CPU driver
    Fix for sysprep.exe Q824672
Fix for 'Windows XP SP1 compatibility problems' Q329623
Fix for 'Windows XP USB 2.0 Driver' KB822603

    And so on

I think you should fund a clean win boot CD using nLite and chipset and all the patches of the Toshiba page should be integrated.
But the simplest to install the operating system recovery CD. You can order the ASP in your country
