  When I tried to load up my internet provider CD its comes up with error 0222 E could not find a PC-card slot.

  This is a new Satellite Pro and my friend with laptop even had no problems to connect to the internet.

  Have you contacted the support of internet provider why this doesn t work and why this error pops up?
  I want to say that this issue has nothing to do with Toshiba laptop and in my opinion, it is that everything is ok with your laptop.
  It must be the question for internet provider.

  IM expieriencing some difficulties with the PORTABLE THOSHIBA (EQUIUM A100) computer CARD READER.

  It supossed to be compatible with sd cards / ms duo/duo pro, etc., but in fact he only reads my sd cards...

  The problem with my mobile (from my sony ericcson) ms duo is the following: I insert my stick into the adapter and then im tring to stick the adapter with the stick in the media... card slot inside but opposite to my sd stick that fits perfectly in it, it seems unreasonable "Feelin ' of beeing glued adapter in (if you know what I mean" (: some "klick" sound like for example the one I hear while sticking a sd card).

  I feel as if I would lose the adapter somewhere inside my laptop, then probably, I could, cos you can push in and push in it and all of a sudden, it starts to disappear inside the slot, then (ufff!) u nead a pair really good and kind to the clippers to take him out.

  Can u please help me with this issue?
  Why isn't my slot of media card to do anything after that I have insert the memory stick duo with the duo card adapter memory inside?

  This property supports different maps, BUT it does not support the Memory Stick Duo!

  I am awaiting delivery of a new dv7. My old laptop (old and still under Windows 98) had a PCMCIA slot I have a couple of cards for. My question is quite simple, the old PCMCIA cards will fall into the new Express card slot?

Although most of the features that people used to use pcmcia cards is attended the computers internal laptop is still a rude awakening for a lot of people when they can use the old card mobile broadband on this new laptop and they must spend more money to get a usb or expresscard version.

  I have a R630 155 and I have a PC card / Express card slot as far as I know. Toshiba manual shows that it would be just below the optical drive [cd] on the right side of the laptop, but I do not have such a slot. Anyone know if it is possible to run a 'real' serial port using the usb ports. I have hardware installed on the field that requires a real serial port and will not work with normal cable converter usb to serial port that can be purchased. I have an another Toshiba that I use the pc card slot and I did not notice that the new laptop does not seem to have this facility. Maybe someone can help / advise?

  Ist point R630 hat not all models are equipped with a PC card and express card slot. As you can read in the manual that only some models are fitted with this slot machine.

  On Amazon and other online shopping, I found a few USB-adapters series so I think that this should be the correct part for you but I n t understand what you mean with real serial port.

  In your case I would just test it and if it doesn't work, you can send it back ;)

  But, normally, for the smaller cards, you will need an adapter that is often included, as for the memory stick pro duo.
  I think it's just normal size and you have to put in the middle of the card reader slot until you hear a click.

  The laptop read the stick very well and I can see all the files into it but I can't seem to get out. I tried to push a little to get out, but it does not work and it's also pretty far in so I can't get out.

  To my knowledge there is no extra help for Memory Stick Pro DUO removing as on the PCMCIA port.
  You should try to get him out. If you n t manage to pull him out with you fingers, you can use a pair of tweezers.
  But be careful.

  There is no special way. Just 2 screws...
  So, if you have a wireless mini-pci network card, then you can open the lid, insert it and use it. But be sure to unscrew the screw more than necessary. :)

  And if you´re not able to open it, then you will need to use your boring usb adapter. ;)
