Tecra M4 - lines of vertical black pixel on the screen

Hello

This morning I turned on my laptop and suddenly I have vertical black pixellines more my whole screen.
There's a line that works normally, who is black, a job, a black man,... and this all over the screen.
In this same way read something is very difficult.

I have no idea what can be wrong, I did not install something recently or anything like that. I tried the system recovery, but the problem will not be solved.

No idea what this can be?
I appreciate your help!

Sincerely,
Seppe

It looks like a hardware problem, but try the BIOS default. In order to access the BIOS press ESC and F1 at the beginning.

On the other hand I recommend you connect the external monitor to the laptop to determine what might be wrong.
If the same lines would appear on external monitor, then a graphics card failure can cause this problem ;(

  • Fill Winding rule null is used for all pixels on the screen?

    Hello

I wanted to know this questions so I can better understand the operation in general programs Illustrator and vector. Trying to understand how the pathfinder, I learned later the winding fill rule non-zero.

I think I understand that it is used to determine what parts of an object is filled when his path crosses itself or what other objects cross with her. Whenever the number of winding is not 0, it means that he went through something, that makes the number 1 coil. If it crosses this line again in the opposite direction, the winding number gets subtracted once again, so you have 0 again. Fill if the number is different from 0.

But, my question is this. This made only of pixels IN a form, to determine if there is a hole inside... or if it actually makes for every single pixel in your file, whenever you open a file, for each pixel on the screen, it uses the rule fill winding non-zero?

For example, if you make a small circle in the middle of your screen, is each pixel on the screen tested with the winding fill rule nonzero in order to determine whether a pixel is part of the circle?

    Thank you.

    I found it it seems.

    If anoyne wants to know

-Vector programs determines how many pixels on the screen

-It creates shapes with a formula, circle, square, Bézier formulas

for simple objects without intersection he uses limit fills, he chooses a pixel of seeds within the object

It checks the 4 or 8 next to it

She fills until it finds an edge

no simple forms, it checks each pixel on the screen with a number of winding

  • Qosmio G20-117: bad pixels on the screen and the CD rom does not work

    Hello

I have a problem with the computer hardware. I got a Qosmio G20-117 and you have a problem with the cdrom and the screen. Got bad pixels on the screen, and cdrom does not work. I live in the United Kingdom, so I tried signing up to them to choose the computer before the computer is out of warranty.

Whenever I register, it says sorry, an unexpected error has occurred, please try again later. I have tried at least 20 times since yesterday and it doesn't seem to work. I have them even called and they told me, the service is stopped and will be fixed this morning but yet nothing works.

    Any solution?

    Hello

If you want to contact Toshiba service partner in your country then why you don't call them?
Toshiba page you will find the database with all service providers in the world.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true

I don't think that you need to register something apart from the serial number of your laptop. But in my opinion this could also be done at the point of service.

  • When turned on my laptop, there is a black border around the screen.

    Original title: screen resolution problem

    Hello

A few weeks ago, I turned on my laptopn and there was a black border around the screen. I managed to change the screen resolution, but my laptop seems to think that I have a dual monitor? And my resolution is still not like it was before. Obviously this isn't a huge problem, but it's annoying to have to go and change it regularly.

In addition, given that this has started to happen, I noticed that when I turn on my laptopn, instead of the usual Acer / Windows startup screen, the screen is all black, until the login screen appears. I don't know if this is related or how, once again, this isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but if an update is installed, you do not see the progress it's making!

I ran a system restore, without success.

Running Windows 7 on a laptop Acer Aspire. Any suggestions welcome, although I'm not that tech-savvy!

    Thank you

    Hello

The first thing to check is your theme controls. Go to the control panel and select personalization. When this window opens, go down and select wallpaper. When this window opens go to the lower left corner and make sure that the background that position of the image is set to 'bridge '. Save the changes and return (right click on the name of the theme in the theme dialog box).

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Lines of single black Pixel in Animation

I've been building object in illustrator and put them in AE, turning them into shape layers to use the compensatory effect railways giving the illusion that these simple drawing are drawn. After doing so I sometimes move the animation. When you move, black 1px lines begin to appear sporadically in the object. I have my limit of angle at 1 and I'm on a rate of 29.97. The first 3 graphics that I built never had this problem, only after the upgrade to the new AE did it begin to appear. Any suggestion because I'm puzzled... I tried to increase the line width

This problem is fixed in update fixes after effects CC 2015.3 (13.8.1). This update, available now, can be installed by using the creative Office Cloud app, or by choosing Help > updates within any Adobe application.

  • Get random blocks of black pixels in the blue areas of the image.

I open the images where there would be a blue background, and get blocks or streaks of black pixel no reason apparent. Using CS 5. How to prevent or correct? Thank you, Jim.

Who circumvented the problem and provided diagnostic information.

And that means that you need to update your driver from the website of the manufacturer of the GPU video card.

Most likely you have an AMD graphics card and are experiencing a bug introduced last year and fixed several months ago.

  • Finally two updates slightly incompatible with Windows 8.1, appearance of flicker black dots on the screen?

I would say that this last two updates. latest Firefox version 32.0 have a compatibility issue with Windows 8.1.
My laptop newly bought worked fine with Firefox until recently. About two to three days before, during the navigation. blackheads should blink on the screen. At first, I figured well problem of pixel, but after testing the same sites with IE 11, these black glitter points seemed not at all. I tested it with chrome and no points.
These black spots have not appeared before on Firefox, only recently. Unfortunately, I'm very uncomfortable with the use of Firefox that I had been using this browser since 2005, but this compatibility issue makes it difficult, cause flickering points can be annoying.

What you describe was reported before and it is almost always bound by graphics drivers. Firefox will (by default) use hardware acceleration to help speed up the rendering etc. On some graphics cards/driver combinations (most with Intel video) people reported black dots. Disabling the hardware acceleration option usually clears this up.

    Does look like this: https://bug913419.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=831738

    Some other threads for reference:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/974717
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/856277

It is not limited to Win8.1 - were reported on both Linux and workaround there is to change the method of hardware acceleration... until the Intel video driver has been updated.

ANY IDEA WAT I HAVE TO DO?

In my opinion not only make sense for you is to contact your local dealer where you bought your laptop or a provider of services of Toshiba directly.

You have for laptop with a valid warranty and if something like this happens, it must be fixed, or you should get the new laptop.
Call the service, ask for help and I'm pretty sure that they will help you with that.
Do you know how to find Toshiba service in your country?

  • Why is my screen turning black temporarily, then the screen saver turning blue, when using hotmail?

Sometimes when you use Hotmail - specifically, put the cursor in the e-mail box - Mac color wheel starts to turn. It is quickly followed by the entire screen goes black for a few moments. This is followed by the screen back, but the background changing default screen saver is blue that usually appears temporarily when I boot. This happens not all the time, but it happens. I visited the 'genius bar' Apple Store and they checked on my machine. They cleaned up some disk problems, and it is always the case. Their thought is that it is a Firefox problem, because they did not experience to date, and it didn't happen when I use hotmail with Google Chrome.

  • Dead pixels on the screen of the Qosmio G series

I found four dead on my screen pixels. What can I do? is there a program to repair my LCD?
Should I take my laptop to the closest technical service for repair?

    Thank you. Good bye

You have a very low chance that will replace the screen of laptop computers.
If only a pixel is dead, you won't get an Exchange!

I found this document useful knowledge of the Toshiba which explains this issue:

    I hope I could bring a precision!

    Model: Satellite pro 4270
Problem: Fading of colors making vertikal lines (sometimes horizontal. Espacially Fotos are not well seen. Text is no problem and the laptop is still usable. The lines are a little wobbly: get shorter and longer.
I tried a lot of things: it seams to have nothing to do with the o/s, cause I used Win 2000, XP, and Linux.
When I use an external display I have no problem.
I have the actual BIOS on the Toshiba WEB Site.
Pressing on the screen does not change.

Someone at - it an idea? (And sorry for my English!)

For me, it looks like you have a problem with your graphics card.

  • Qosmio G30 pink pixels on the screen - what can I try next?

I have a qosmio G30 on the white parts of the screen were pink pixel in them as well as purple pink pixels around parts.

In reading the various posts, I have eliminated the graphics chip/card that I can get a perfect image on an external display. The laptop is out of warranty and also out of the extra year for graphics problems, so I tried to fix it myself. I tried all of the solutions below and none have worked.

I wonder if anyone could give me any other things to try.

I've updated the BIOS and the display driver - no change.
I then replaced the motherboard to the LCD connection with a new cable - no change.

And finally, I have replaced the LCD screen with a new - again no change.

-Always works fine on an external monitor.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I think you're talking about dead pixels.
    Would this be possible?

The problem of dead pixels has nothing to do with the graphics card but it s a display problem.
So I was wondering why this problem persists after the LCD has been replaced

Maybe a Toshiba laptop technician should verify and test parts of the hardware to make sure what part could be the problem exactly

  • Equium L20-197: vertical strip appeared on the screen!

My L20-197 18 months, began to display a vertical bar orange 38mm wide pale from the top to the bottom of the screen of 40mm from the left side.

If I pinch the screen surround above the place where the Bar starts, he disappears and then returns when I let go. What is the cause, is there a simple solution or do I pinch my toshiba whenever I need a clear on-screen display?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Chrisjim.

    Hello

No there is no 'miracle' and no Don t you can't pinch your screen. Just send your machine to an authorized repair partner, hardwarecheckup, and probably because it sounds like a serious hardware problem and you shouldn't wait.

Just follow this link to find the nearest authorized service partner (ASP) and call:

  • Black finger across the screen to the bottom only in locked mode - retina 2014

Mine is a MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, mi 2014) 2.2 GHz with integrated display. When I opened the laptop this morning, I was welcomed by a screen locked and noticed a black spot on the lower part of the screen. My heart sank for a moment, but when I logged in, I did not notice the finger any longer.

I see the black spot that looks like an ink spot (see photo) when I get back to screen locked again. What is an LCD failure or is there something else going on? If it's an LCD has failed, why not see the problem when it is unlocked? How to fix? Thanks for any help.

Notice the black spot. The white point at the bottom left of the screen above is just the cursor hidden.

No stain when unlocked can be exceeded.

Could be a hardware failure.  If you bought AppleCare, you have 3 years warranty on the material and can diagnose the Genius Bar it repair free of charge - it is reproducible, so you can show them.
