  • Windows 7 and DV6500t (ICH8M LPC Interface Controller)

I recently loaded Windows 7 on my HP dv6500t (via dualboot).  Everything went well and everything works OK except for one question.  In Device Manager, I have an unknown device.  By looking at its properties, it shows a situation: "ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815" and the driver is not available.  I tried to use sp36881 (Intel Chipset Installation Utility for ICH8) from the HP site and it did not work.  Any help?

    Hello

1 check with system Maker like this might be a known issue with your system.

Start - type in the search box - find information system at head of list of the system - right click - Run as Admin

Look for the Chipset 945 material resources or 965 as examples.

    Make a Restore Point:

How to create a Vista System Restore Point
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/76332-system-restore-point-create.html

    You can try Intel downloads:

Chipsets-click and then select your type of Chipset then specific model - it will ask Window - Download - Version
SAVE - go where you put - it - right click Run as Admin - REBOOT

  • Dv6700 Vista-> Win7 - Intel(r) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815-Unknown Device

Hey there, I couldn't find this one specifically for the dv6700. I had to reinstall everything, and this title was to improve the form of Vista to Windows 7.

I tried to follow this guide:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and/Windows-7-upgrade-guide-for-dv6000-dv900...

But I always came up with a problem in my device manager:

    Unknown device:

    Intel(r) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815

    Hardware ID

    ACPI\HPQ000

    * HPQ000

I hope that this is sufficient to diagnose the problem. For another model, it seemed to be a thing of Bluetooth, but I don't think so here.

    Your help is very appreciated.

It seems that it s an Intel Management Engine Interface.
I think that you will need to install an Intel chipset driver that is designed for the portable yoru chipset.

  • Tecra A11 - utility to change device display does not work

    Hi all

    I have a problem frustrating with my * laptop Tecra A11 - 11J * (PTSE1E).

I did a clean install of Windows XP Pro SP3 for x 86 (all updates/patches installed) and I can install a large number of drivers to get my hardware working, but * I can't get the display device change utility work *. I installed version 3.2.2 on the Toshiba site. I see that it installed under the Panel, software, but no entries in my Start Menu. When I press FN + F5, nothing happened. Also, I installed the rest of the software (i.e. common modules and Hotkey for display devices). But always impossible to duplicate my display via Fn + F5.

When I take a quick glance at my display properties I can replicate my screen and/or extend my desktop!

Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  • Tecra A9 - driver Windows 7 for TOS6208

    Hello
    I installed Windows 7 Professional x 64 and I am a unknown device in device TOS6208 Manager.

I can't find the driver 64 bits for this. Action Center has proposed a pilot, but this custom installs successfully. The downloaded package is Windows Vista PVAT upgrade program. I have searched PVAT for my Tecra A9 for Windows 7/Vista 64 but fails.

    Any ideas?

I think that you need to install the logical device added 64-bit value. If you can't find that, then install the other 64 bit drivers - especially component of Toshiba drivers.

I'm trying to reload my Tecra 9000 with Windows XP sp2.

The CD I have another OEM but I guess it's always the same and so I should be able to use this copy?

Basically, all charges fine but displays 3 yellow question mark dots Device Manager... 1 is Modem PCI, 1 video controller, and the other is peripheral unknown.

I downloaded the drivers for the identified devices, but what do I need for the unknown device?

    See you soon,.

    Hello Joe

In my opinion, you should try to install it. In this case, you need to install all the drivers and Toshiba designed tool later. On this path, it is not easy to say what write you about, but maybe a little tip can help you.

On the Toshiba site, there is link to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=TIC2 knowledge base. Please go there and under Searchtext use the unknown word. Perhaps the first document can help you. He asks how to identify an unknown device in Device Manager?

    Good luck!
