Installing drivers and utilities Toshiba should be made in the right order.
The chipset utility must be installed at the beginning.

Look for the Chipset 945 material resources or 965 as examples.

Recently I bought the HP DV6 with Windows 7 pre-installed. I want good old XP OS to which I am addicted.
F6 function fails for chipset HM65 with "Intel (r) Mobile Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller" is the machine based on Win7, but I like XP and tried to install it using F6 utility and the latest driver SATA from Microsoft download center.
But whenever I encountered BSOD with the message "STOP: 0X0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF73B9D66, 0xF78B1EA0, 0xFF71B1B9C)"
Another mistake, shown on the BSOD screen is "acpi.sys - address F73B9D66 base at F73AE000, datestamp 480252b 1.I tried many a times by "slipstreaming" the SATA Driver detected at Microsoft and by using the floppy USB F6 also drive. But I'm unable to load Xp on the machine.
Whenever the operation of F6 when I select the option "Intel (r) Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller I met the BSOD and the establishment fails.
kindly advise me with an appropriate method to install xp on my HP machine whose bios is locked or disabled for change the IDE to AHCI RAID.
Thanks in advance

Hey there, I couldn't find this one specifically for the dv6700. I had to reinstall everything, and this title was to improve the form of Vista to Windows 7.
I tried to follow this guide:
But I always came up with a problem in my device manager:
Unknown device:
Intel(r) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815
Hardware ID
ACPI\HPQ000
* HPQ000
I hope that this is sufficient to diagnose the problem. For another model, it seemed to be a thing of Bluetooth, but I don't think so here.
Your help is very appreciated.

I had to replace the HARD drive in an A3X. XP pro sp2 loaded fine and all is well, but the device mngr reports that Intel 82801FBM LPC Interface Controller as an unknown device.
The Intel Chipset utility that identifies as a component of the Chipset 82915GM/GMS/910 GML
I ran several times the Intel software update utility with no joy.
I can find the pilot of the reference, but cannot find a download for it.
As I said the laptop seems to work fine except for this unknown device.

Tecra A7: Two unknown devices after installing the OS Win
Hi all
Recently bought an A7 and was convinced all the preinstalled software Toshiba slowed things. Managed to fresh install windows, then use Toshiba Apps Installer to restore items that I really wanted to. Everything went well and the computer is about two times faster now. However, I have two following unknown devices:(1) device type: other devices
Location: on Intel(r) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27 b 9
Hardware ID: ACPI\IFX0102(2) device type: other devices
Places: On system compatible ACPI Microsoft
Hardware ID: ACPI\TOS620AI installed the latest Intel Chipset drivers and no luck. Perhaps one of them is the sound card (although I have installed the drivers as well) and one of them HARD drive Protection (that I have no intention of installing anyway).
If someone can confirm what they are it would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
ChristinHello
Installing drivers and utilities Toshiba should be made in the right order.
The chipset utility must be installed at the beginning and then the common modules.
You must use the form chipset the Toshiba site. The Tecra M7 also supports the protection of the HARD drive. Normally you will find it at the last position under "Audio, video and game controllers" in Device Manager.
I found this document Toshiba how to identify an unknown device:

Hello
Have you installed the XP drivers all available from the European pilot of Toshiba page?
Please take the look in installation instructions txt file. You will find a list of all the necessary drivers that must be installed. The order of installation is important.
Please install all drivers as mentioned in the installation instructions.PS: On the page there is also an application of Infineon Trusted Platform Module.
Greetings

Portege R500 - I've got two unknown devices after installing XP
Hello
I am looking drivers for the two unknown devices in the hardware Manager:
alias
"Intel(r) 82801GBM (ICH7-M/U) LPC Controller"
and
'System compatible ACPI Microsoft'Thank you
RogerHello
Have you installed all the drivers Toshiba XP which appear on the European driver from Toshiba site?
There is also a training installation document that gives the proper installation order. Please check if all the XP drivers were installed, as mentioned in this doc.
In addition, you should check if you have installed the MS WinXP SP2 and Utility Intel chipset.
Greetings

Satellite U500-115 - unknown devices after the Installation of Win XP
Hello
I just installed Windows XP on a Satellite U500 - 115 (PSU5EE) and cannot get rid of several unknown devices in Device Manager.
Before to install the operating system, I changed settings AHCI in the BIOS to Compatibility-Mode (IDE), so I don't need to inject the SATA driver during installation.
These are the unknown devices:
ACPI\PNP0C32\1 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)
ACPI\PNP0C32\2 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)
ACPI\PNP0C32\3 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)
ACPI\PNP0C32\4 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)
ACPI\TOS6205\2 & DABA3FF & 0 (location: System compatible ACPI Microsoft)
Of course, I installed driver chipset and graphics driver from the toshiba download page, but the unknown devices are still there! Can you please tell me what kind of driver I need to install ACPI devices - and get rid of these unknown devices?
Thanks in advance,
HansHello
In my opinion the unknown devices belongs to the SATA interface controller and these appear as unknown device because you have installed the XP compatible mode.
Try to install the Intel Storage Manager driver.
ACPI\TOS6205 device can be a Bluetooth device.
You must install the battery Bluetooth to get rid of unknown device.welcome them
