Tecra M7: Unable to create recovery CD: lack CDDVD.ini - INI file load error: RDC_info.ini

I recently bought a Tecra M7, but the system does not include recovery media, just a recovery partition and a recovery disk creator.

However, when I try to run the Recovery Disc Creator, he responds with "error loading INI file: C:\Program Files\Sonic\RecordNow!\RDC_info.ini.

I opened this file in an attempt to determine the error, but the content simply refer to a file named CDDVD.ini. I looked everywhere in the hard, even mounted the recovery Partition, but could not find this file.

Search on Google, I found that this case is regularly brought disappeared, and that without it, the recovery media cannot be created. A person said Tech Support by sending an email the file, another was sent by another user.

In both cases, the user was immediately able to make records. In any case, there seems to be a standard file, referring to the "Add_info.ini" (Application and drivers disks) and "Rec_info.ini" (OS Recovery Disk), fairly uniform and unchanging across all systems that use this method to create discs.

Please, could someone email me them or post it here so we can all see?
If/when I get this file, once I determined it works I post here.

Daniel

Hello

You can buy a set of recovery disc for Toshiba for all £17 and£ 18. Maybe it will help if you can't find the file.

Thank you...

  • Tecra M1: Unable to create a data disc

    Hello

I'm developing a package to deploy Toshiba Disc Creator on all our Tecra M1 and M2 computers laptops, which represents about 200 units. The package I created works fine on all Tecra M2, but the Tecra M1, users get a problem BOUNCING. When they burn a data disc, they get the following about 50% of the time error: "failed to create a data disc. The current process stops. »

Even if they get this message, the creation of cd is always successful most of the time, but about 10% of the time, he is corrupt. There is no way to know if it actually worked or failed until you try to copy data to newly create CD. It also happens that doing an exact copy of a CD will give a similar error message.

I tried to find information about this software on the internet, but I am at a loss at this point, because no document seems to exist and event our Toshiba Rep doesn't know what to do. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm willing to try.

    Thanks in advance.

To me, this looks like a simple and common error during the burning process.
I put t know what burning software you use but I recommend burn media with Nero. It of simply and heavy application performance it s my favorite
You must also use a burning program. Don t mix different programs such as sonic for example.

Additional test different types of media in my practical knowledge not all media (CD or DVD) is taken in charge and, sometimes, you can get errors in engraving.

  • Satellite A105: Unable to create recovery CD - missing rdc_info.ini file

I have a SatA105 without a recovery disk, but there is a utility called Recovery Disc Creator thereon. But when I try to start it, it gives me an error message that the rdc_info.ini is missing or damaged.
It's there, so I opened it, and he is looking for a plug to the address Z:\giinfo.ini which is not found!

What does that mean? I can't make a recovery disk? or can I get a copy of someone, and then going to work? Or is recovery not a disk info only the computer not more?

    What can I do now?

    Hello Jim

Unfortunately, I don't have a model of cell phone US and don t really know what the problem is here. Generally avoid problems if you use the pre-installed recovery disc creator. The image is stored in the hidden partition.

Be sure that you do it on the right track. How it works exactly, you can read HERE

Otherway you should contact the partner in your country. I'm sure they can help you or perhaps to create a recovery media for you.

  • Portege Z830 - Unable to create recovery media

I'm trying to create a recovery media on my portege Z830 with the "toshiba recovery media creator.
Unfortunetely, it says "no zone of restaurants on the disc": the only thing I did was to create an inactive partition with Windows Disk Manager.
I checked, the recovery partition exists.
With the warranty, will I receive a free restore DVD?

    > the only thing I did was to create an inactive partition with Windows Disk Manager.
That of the problem. Pre-installed application is designed to find the recovery image on specific position using what is called markers.
Now the application is confused and can't find it.

Why didn t ask here what you can do until you have made the decision to change something?

To get the disc for free? I put t know if it will work. Problem is that your obligation is to read s operating manuals and learn about your new product, before changing anything.
You can try to contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help. That's all that I can say at the moment.

  • Re: Unable to create recovery Satellite A300-1NA discs

    Hello

I have a problem with Recovery Disc Creator. When it burns 1 DVD disc, an error occurs. It says "an unexpected error has occurred. "Error code: 0E01B5-26 - 2A 031000.
    I have Toshiba Satellite A300-1NA.

All updates are installed, and generally, the system is "clean". I suspect that this problem is due to my DVD - RW drive (MAST * A UJ880AS) but I can't find the new firmware for it. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards
    Maciej

    Hello!

Firmware updates, you can get on the Toshiba site but for your Satellite A300 with Mat * one reader I didn t find a.

Have you tried DVD s from different manufacturers? I use discs Verbatim always and never had any problems with it.
    Check it!

    Good bye

  • Failed to create recovery disk

    Hello!

I apologize in advance for my English.

After a year of perfect operation, I decided to completely restore my system (Windows Vista Home, HDX 18 Premium, 64-bit) using the hidden partition. Everything was fine.

A week ago, my PC didn't start because he does not recognize the hard drive: no operating system found. No partition has been found, even the hidden (in my system is E).

I tried to reset the BIOS and I was right: the booted system, performed all necessary diagnostics and load Windows.

So, I decided to create a recovery disk to restore the system, even if no partition is found.

But I have been unable to create recovery disks because the Recovery Manager utility froze, did not write any DVD, and after three hours, I had to turn off the PC, because nothing happened.

My creation of recovery disks is slightly different from the pictures I've seen in many forums: instead of asking what kind of media, I would like to use (DVD, CD) and how many of them is needed, it simply shows a green bar: writing files, from 0% to 100%. When he arrived at 100%, it froze and nothing happened.

Now I can not create a new set of disk (the program starts, but its window disappears immediately), even if the PC is running and I could (probably) restore the system using the hidden partition.

    Now:

    (1) are useful recovery disks if the hard drive is not recognized at all?

    (2) since it is possible to create a set of disks only, the failure of the attempt account?

    Thank you!

You are welcome. Be sure to also follow the Macrium prompt to create a bootable cd. Label it as Macrium rescue and set aside to care for the child. Then whenever you need to restore your laptop to your Image backups, just boot with the cd and it guides you through it. Works even if Windows is too damaged to start.

  • No option to create recovery/usb drives

I used my x 220 laptop for a year now and I am trying to port my OS on to a new drive mSATA I recently installed, but cannot create recovery disks to do this. I use rescue and recovery 4.5 for windows 7, but I don't see any option to create recovery/usb disks. I see only options to create a backup of my regular HARD drive and "create recovery media", which only seems to copy the service program of rescue and recovery, thinkvantage on the USB. I know that data that are installed on the USB key is not correct because it is about 500 MB, while I've read online that the complete recovery disk should take about 8.4 GB. I also know that I never created before recovery disks. Y at - it something that I'm missing is not let me create these disks?

is there an easier way to do this?

It's been a while since I've done it, but it worked in all situations where I tried: call Lenovo support and declare that you are unable to create recovery discs. There are several legitimate reasons to do this, for example from my experience...

    1. my X61s did not come with a DVD player and I don't have a DVD USB drive connected.

    2. my T60p reported all kinds of program errors when I tried to use the utility provided to create diskettes.

    3. an another ThinkPad (don't remember the model number) had a HD crash under warranty. Lenovo sent me a replacement HD but I had no recovery discs. (I had backups Acronis full score but Lenovo didn't and I didn't volunteer).

    4. one of my friends refused the license agreement for Windows on its ThinkPad. Instead, he decided to try Linux. After a few weeks of frustration with Linux, he decided to return to the Windows fold. Since he had not accepted the license to the first start agreement, it had been unable to create recovery discs.

If your system is under warranty in my experience that Lenovo will send you a set of toll-free recovery disks. You may need to be a little persistent, but as long as you keep it clean, you should get them. Note however the last time I did that was at least 3 years ago so their policy may have changed. Also note that, in any case, my request is legitimate. YMMV.

  • Unable to create the disc of recovery on my Equium P300-19O

I am unable to create a recovery disk. I get an error code: 020150-20-00000000 and the F:106557xsp4.swm file missing message. When you create the disc 1. Two disk does not work either.

I think it's important to do these recovery disks, but I have already lost 5 discs already. Is there any help that anyone can give.

    Thank you

The hidden restore partition has been deleted or changed?

Perhaps the hidden partition was damaged because of a loss of power or something.

You should test the memory and the disk using Memtest: www.memtest.org and DFT: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm

  • Screen flickers on Satellite L300 and I am unable to create a recovery disk

    Hi all

    I just bought a model L300 PSLB0C 08R08C number.
I was unable to create a recovery disk, I was getting an error message saying it cannot create disk because it is scratched or has dirt on it, I lost 5 nine DVD.

I am went to the store and replaced by another unit, but had the same problem (I have not tried a different brand of DVD well)

Second issue with this device, the screen flashes once whenever it is in a shutdown state.
Number 3, the wireless card disappears from the Device Manager, until I restart.
    Laptop made in China ;-)

    Any suggestions are much apprecaited

    Hello

It is indeed strange that you were unable to create a recovery disk, and that the problem has resurfaced, even after permutation of the laptop with another unit of the store. However, if you have not tried a different brand of DVD so I suggest that if the laptop asks the disc is scratched or has dirt on it. I'm not sure if toshiba factory in fact blank DVDs, but if they do, it would be a starting point, as one would expect hardware toshiba would happily work with their own brand DVD media. However, if you can't find toshiba dvd then use another trust mark, for example, Imation and TDK. with my experience, I have tried many brands of DVD and have found very reliable TDK.

regarding the second question, this may be related to the graphics card in the system, or could be due to the performance of the computer laptop itself. Check that you have the latest driver for your graphics card and all the settings on the computer are optimized / hard drives are defragmented and deleted unnecessary files. with your third question, this question could also be related to driver problems, check your regional drivers toshiba site for the latest drivers again. failing this, I would back up your data and then restore to a factory condition, then install the drivers immediately. I hope this info can help you somehow.

Welcome to the forums and please leave helpful points or correct answer for any useful advice that has been given in response to your problems (e.g. to read the forum rules)

  • Reference Dell backup and restore is unable to create a DVD of recovery on Windows 8

    Dear Dell,

I am creating recovery discs "Dell backup and Recovery application" but when I was asked to insert the second DVD, the optical drive keeps rejecting DVD. The application will not continue to burn the second DVD and seems to be frozen. I tyied with different DVD brands/manufacturers and also-/ + r unfortunately. The question remains. I could find this 593906 article published 21-01 - 2013 (http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&cs=19&docid=593906&doclang=en&l=en&s=dhs link). Although I did the updates, I'm still not able to create recovery discs!   File: after having inserted the Disc 3 application gives the message "Dbr.exe-" not found disk and stays there and rejects the DVD.  I spoke with the Greek team of Dell. I was told that warranty does not cover the support of sw even if my unit is less than a week. Furthermore, I learned that although "Dell backup and restore" application said THAT DELL is not actually a Dell product so they can't support. They my proposed to use the recovery of files from windows 7 place (which needs at least 8 DVD!). As you can understand it's a workaround and not a Solution.

I hope that someone from Dell will consider the issue and to come back with a precise answer and a permanent solution.   (Model: inspiron 15 3521). Thank you

    Hi ylikonomos,

You can try to uninstall and reinstall Dell Backup and Recovery Manager and Dell Support Center. Follow these steps:

    • Press the Windows key + 'X' on the keyboard.
    • Select "Programs and features" in the context menu that appears in the lower left corner.

    • In the list of applications, uninstall Dell Backup and Recovery Manager and Dell Support Center.

Below, check the version of the BIOS installed on the laptop. Press Windows + "R" key, type msinfo32 and press ENTER.

Identify the version of the BIOS. If A04, the update of the BIOS is not necessary. If this isn't the case, update the BIOS. Before flashing the BIOS please check this following:
    * No external device (printer, USB stick, SD card, DVD) must be connected.
    * All other programs should be closed and saved documents.
    * The power adapter and the battery must be connected during this process. The battery must be 10% or more than 10% of charge.

Here is the link for the update to the BIOS: http://dell.to/VBwSAh. The laptop restarts after this update.

Visit this link: http://dell.to/VBz1fr and click Dell Support Center. Download and install the application.
Once done, visit this link: http://bit.ly/UUjIs0 and install Dell Backup and Recovery Manager. Restart the computer and check if you are able to create the recovery media.

Please, try the following steps and share status.

  • Failed to format create recovery media

I am trying to create a recovery media for new R30 - 1GZ and opted for USB Flash memory. Inserted a 16 GB Sandisk Cruzer module and said OK for reformatting. Message appears: "Unable to format the drive Windows" (or words to that effect). The module is now unusable.

Once the module is reinserted, message "need to format the disk in drive I have." In addition, "I:\ is not accessible... How does not contain a recognized file system... ». Failure to put in shape while as before. M/c still able to read and write ordinary data to other flash modules.
SanDisk Forum is littered with users having similar problems - some argue that the lack of equipment, other Windows 7 problem. No definitive answers.

Tried another module, different brand (I think) - now I have 2 modules unusable!
Helpline called Toshiba - never heard of the problem. "Maybe the software module 'create' is corrupt - try to rebuild the system from scratch" (not plausible, I think). Or take back the machine to the PC world...

Anyone out there who has met (and solved) the Please this problem?

To be honest, I never heard talk about this. Last month I ve bought Toshiba NB550D for my daughter and I ve created recovery USB stick using 8 GB SanDisk Cruzer with no problems.

USB key has been recognized by Windows starter, by creator Toshiba Recovery tool and everything worked perfectly.
In my opinion, your problem is not typical problem of Toshiba and I recommend you to check if the same thing will happen in using another USB.

    Please post comments.

  • Satellite L655 - missing file when creating recovery media

    Hello

I just bought two new Satellites a L655-1EM and a L655-17V (I think - pink and red). In any case I tried to burn some media of recovery - which I find a little cheapo, making do us it ourselves!

During the process, he said there is a lack of file and hangs on. I tried this on the machines and the same result. I use discs double layer. Any ideas? Do Toshiba shell on a disc of recovery in such circumstances - I already DL three frisbees lol.
I'm more than worried a little, as if something bad happens I have no confidence that I will be able to recover.

    Some tips/advice?
    Thanks in advance :)

    Hello

Have you ever tried 4.7 GB standard DVD?

I used the Verbatim DVD-R 16 x 4.7 GB speed to create recovery discs and it worked correctly. I t n have no problem. The discs I've tested without any problem.

    You can test this please?
