Satellite A105: Unable to create recovery CD - missing rdc_info.ini file

I have a SatA105 without a recovery disk, but there is a utility called Recovery Disc Creator thereon. But when I try to start it, it gives me an error message that the rdc_info.ini is missing or damaged.
It's there, so I opened it, and he is looking for a plug to the address Z:\giinfo.ini which is not found!

What does that mean? I can't make a recovery disk? or can I get a copy of someone, and then going to work? Or is recovery not a disk info only the computer not more?

What can I do now?

Hello Jim

Unfortunately, I don't have a model of cell phone US and don t really know what the problem is here. Generally avoid problems if you use the pre-installed recovery disc creator. The image is stored in the hidden partition.

Be sure that you do it on the right track. How it works exactly, you can read HERE

Otherway you should contact the partner in your country. I'm sure they can help you or perhaps to create a recovery media for you.

  • Tecra M7: Unable to create recovery CD: lack CDDVD.ini - INI file load error: RDC_info.ini

I recently bought a Tecra M7, but the system does not include recovery media, just a recovery partition and a recovery disk creator.

However, when I try to run the Recovery Disc Creator, he responds with "error loading INI file: C:\Program Files\Sonic\RecordNow!\RDC_info.ini.

I opened this file in an attempt to determine the error, but the content simply refer to a file named CDDVD.ini. I looked everywhere in the hard, even mounted the recovery Partition, but could not find this file.

Search on Google, I found that this case is regularly brought disappeared, and that without it, the recovery media cannot be created. A person said Tech Support by sending an email the file, another was sent by another user.

In both cases, the user was immediately able to make records. In any case, there seems to be a standard file, referring to the "Add_info.ini" (Application and drivers disks) and "Rec_info.ini" (OS Recovery Disk), fairly uniform and unchanging across all systems that use this method to create discs.

Please, could someone email me them or post it here so we can all see?
If/when I get this file, once I determined it works I post here.

    VMware-vdiskmanager - c - a free - 0 TS 70 GB

    It fails with the error:

With the help of the utility even 1.1 VDDK works very well.

I know from painful experience last year that the error "the file is too big" is pretty generic, and generally means vixdisklib think that the target file system is not NTFS.  I changed my driver year last to convince vixdisklib v1.1 it was OK to create a large virtual drive here.  "I also remember that the library is the distinction between a target name starting by".

    Hello

I have a problem with Recovery Disc Creator. When it burns 1 DVD disc, an error occurs. It says "an unexpected error has occurred. "Error code: 0E01B5-26 - 2A 031000.
    I have Toshiba Satellite A300-1NA.

All updates are installed, and generally, the system is "clean". I suspect that this problem is due to my DVD - RW drive (MAST * A UJ880AS) but I can't find the new firmware for it. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards
    Maciej

    Hello!

Have you tried DVD s from different manufacturers? I use discs Verbatim always and never had any problems with it.

  • Satellite L350 - BSOD during the recovery and missing "BOOTMGR"

    Hello
I have a Satellite L350, Vista Home premium SP1, (had it for about 4months)

Yesterday I received an error black screen on my laptop it says to reboot, so I did, then just, my laptop wouldn't stat more, I have no idea why?

So I put in my computer come with recovery disks laptop just reinstall every thing as if I just got it out of the box and I followed the instructions that the Recovery Wizard disk Toshiba says, and as his 'adaptation of the files', I get say Blue error screen "a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

And tell to reboot or what ever and just keep it.
    (Info tech: STOP: 0x000000D1 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8D246FD7)

Then I reboot my system and a black screen comes up saying "BOOTMGR missing".
So now, I have nothing that works, I retried the disks but same error with blue screen.
I also tried to make the atmosphere safe and decent here, nothing works.
    I m needs help!

Thanks for reading, sorry for so much reading to do

The reason why laptop doesn t start (error bootmgr) while the installation is stopped with a BSOD. If you need to reinstall the laptop again.

It looks like a USB problem because I found this in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/945436/en-us

If you have connected the external USB devices to the laptop, remove them.
In the worst case, there is something wrong with the USB ports or controller and the motherboard must be exchanged.

  • Satellite L305-S5917 cannot create recovery disk

    I have a Satellite L305-S5917.

Yesterday I tried to create the recovery disk with the recovery disc creator, and then when I put a DVD + R, it says 'another application is using that drive or no recordable discs are recognized on your PC. Please check the status of the drive. (Error code: 0D00E4-F0-00000000). »
I also try with DVD - R, but I wasn't too. Someone tell me what is the problem with my laptop and how do I create a recovery disc.

    Thank you

    Hello

This error message does not for me.
You have installed an application like Nero CD/DVD burning?

Maybe an enforcement agent runs in the background and optical disc drive is permanent in the surveillance state. Restart your laptop, check the substantive activities and make sure that nothing can be responsible for this drive blocking.
The STRANGE is properly recognized in Device Manager?

One last thing: for creation of recovery media I would recommend to use high quality DVD-R virgins.
I had the best experience with TDK and Verbatim.

The problem is that you used is not compatible DVD disc.
Test different DVD. I use TDK DVD-R and I think it's very good brand.

  • Portege Z830 - Unable to create recovery media

I'm trying to create a recovery media on my portege Z830 with the "toshiba recovery media creator.
Unfortunetely, it says "no zone of restaurants on the disc": the only thing I did was to create an inactive partition with Windows Disk Manager.
I checked, the recovery partition exists.
With the warranty, will I receive a free restore DVD?

    > the only thing I did was to create an inactive partition with Windows Disk Manager.
That of the problem. Pre-installed application is designed to find the recovery image on specific position using what is called markers.
Now the application is confused and can't find it.

Why didn t ask here what you can do until you have made the decision to change something?

To get the disc for free? I put t know if it will work. Problem is that your obligation is to read s operating manuals and learn about your new product, before changing anything.
You can try to contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help. That's all that I can say at the moment.

  • No option to create recovery/usb drives

I used my x 220 laptop for a year now and I am trying to port my OS on to a new drive mSATA I recently installed, but cannot create recovery disks to do this. I use rescue and recovery 4.5 for windows 7, but I don't see any option to create recovery/usb disks. I see only options to create a backup of my regular HARD drive and "create recovery media", which only seems to copy the service program of rescue and recovery, thinkvantage on the USB. I know that data that are installed on the USB key is not correct because it is about 500 MB, while I've read online that the complete recovery disk should take about 8.4 GB. I also know that I never created before recovery disks. Y at - it something that I'm missing is not let me create these disks?

    hitokirix wrote:

is there an easier way to do this?

It's been a while since I've done it, but it worked in all situations where I tried: call Lenovo support and declare that you are unable to create recovery discs. There are several legitimate reasons to do this, for example from my experience...

    1. my X61s did not come with a DVD player and I don't have a DVD USB drive connected.

    2. my T60p reported all kinds of program errors when I tried to use the utility provided to create diskettes.

    3. an another ThinkPad (don't remember the model number) had a HD crash under warranty. Lenovo sent me a replacement HD but I had no recovery discs. (I had backups Acronis full score but Lenovo didn't and I didn't volunteer).

    4. one of my friends refused the license agreement for Windows on its ThinkPad. Instead, he decided to try Linux. After a few weeks of frustration with Linux, he decided to return to the Windows fold. Since he had not accepted the license to the first start agreement, it had been unable to create recovery discs.

If your system is under warranty in my experience that Lenovo will send you a set of toll-free recovery disks. You may need to be a little persistent, but as long as you keep it clean, you should get them. Note however the last time I did that was at least 3 years ago so their policy may have changed. Also note that, in any case, my request is legitimate. YMMV.

  • Failed to create recovery disk

    Hello!

I apologize in advance for my English.

After a year of perfect operation, I decided to completely restore my system (Windows Vista Home, HDX 18 Premium, 64-bit) using the hidden partition. Everything was fine.

A week ago, my PC didn't start because he does not recognize the hard drive: no operating system found. No partition has been found, even the hidden (in my system is E).

I tried to reset the BIOS and I was right: the booted system, performed all necessary diagnostics and load Windows.

So, I decided to create a recovery disk to restore the system, even if no partition is found.

But I have been unable to create recovery disks because the Recovery Manager utility froze, did not write any DVD, and after three hours, I had to turn off the PC, because nothing happened.

My creation of recovery disks is slightly different from the pictures I've seen in many forums: instead of asking what kind of media, I would like to use (DVD, CD) and how many of them is needed, it simply shows a green bar: writing files, from 0% to 100%. When he arrived at 100%, it froze and nothing happened.

Now I can not create a new set of disk (the program starts, but its window disappears immediately), even if the PC is running and I could (probably) restore the system using the hidden partition.

    Now:

    (1) are useful recovery disks if the hard drive is not recognized at all?

    (2) since it is possible to create a set of disks only, the failure of the attempt account?

    Thank you!

You are welcome. Be sure to also follow the Macrium prompt to create a bootable cd. Label it as Macrium rescue and set aside to care for the child. Then whenever you need to restore your laptop to your Image backups, just boot with the cd and it guides you through it. Works even if Windows is too damaged to start.

  • the Boot.ini file is missing

Miss me the boot.ini file, but I don't have a disc of xp files because windows xp is installed.  Should I buy windows xp to resolve this problem?

First of all, make sure that you have not left a CD/DVD in a drive that is checked for an operating system before the system partition of the hard drive. If there's nothing there, you should be able to repeat your BOOT. INI file.

XP BOOT. INI file resides in the root directory of the drive system (usually c :)). This is a simple text file, but marked as hidden. If you have another computer, you can create or copy one from a computer with a similar setup to yours (for example boot from C:, Windows XP files in c:\Windows, etc.).

The following can be copied into Notepad and saved to create a simple BOOT. INI file.
    [boot loader]
    timeout = 30
    default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    "multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional "/ fastdetect
If you have access to another computer, consider mount the hard drive broke as a slave and creation/copy of a BOOT. INI file in the root.
  • Satellite L655 - missing file when creating recovery media

    Hello

I just bought two new Satellites a L655-1EM and a L655-17V (I think - pink and red). In any case I tried to burn some media of recovery - which I find a little cheapo, making do us it ourselves!

During the process, he said there is a lack of file and hangs on. I tried this on the machines and the same result. I use discs double layer. Any ideas? Do Toshiba shell on a disc of recovery in such circumstances - I already DL three frisbees lol.
I'm more than worried a little, as if something bad happens I have no confidence that I will be able to recover.

    Some tips/advice?
    Thanks in advance :)
