• Disagreement of Tektronix TDS 3000 VISA and pilot

  My lab is trying to use LABVIEW 2015 in order to obtain numerically a 3054 Tektronix TDS Oscilloscope waveform data. We have (on two separate computers) installed the latest version of VISA (15.5) and the Tektronix 3000 series drivers. However, when we open the instrument control drivers and run one of the examples, we get the following error

  "Error 1073807202 occurred in opening VISA to Tektronix TDS 3000 Series.lvlib:Initialize.vi-> Tektronix TDS 3000 Series Auto Setup Waveform Acquire.vi"

  We have reinstalled the drivers on both computers with no luck, the error continues. We have also re-installed VISA, but the error persists. Is that what could be missing regarding how to actually set this instrument on the rise and synchronize it with labview? We connect the oscilloscope to our computers using a GPIB to USB cable and systems are more or less insensitive.

• Urgent: oscilliscope Tektronix TDS 2014 B USB communication interface

  Changed the code from a GPIB interface to the oscilliscope to a USB (Tektronix TDS2014B) and now the code will not work. The VI is not the scope triggering. I checked the USB interactive control of VISA address and it matches the block diagram. I get this error:

  VISA write to Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000 Series.lvlib:Error Query.vi-> Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000
  Series.lvlib:Close.VI-> 200 1000 2000 Tektronix TDS Series.lvlib:Initialize.vi

• Error time-out random - 1073807339 using pilots of series Oscilloscope Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000

  I am trying to make measurements of waveform of an oscilloscope Tektronix 1052 B using LabVIEW. My program is intended to be run for hours at a time, and it works perfectly as expected for the first few hours. However, I noticed that after a few hours, there are apparently random of chances that a VISA to read or write the block function will produce the error - 1073807339. After that happens once, all read or write functions also produce this same error for a while. This happens even using subVIs new driver provided by OR (http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=047216EC20B66FABE0440003BA7CCD... Meanwhile if I stop the program, I can still bring up the oscilloscope in MAX and read and write commands him. The error seems to occur within a VI. I already read this page here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/874B379E24C0A0D686256FCF007A6EA0?OpenDocument, but none of the solutions helped. I know that this is not a matter of actual timeout because I tried increasing the timeout of 30 seconds, but the error always occurs immediately as soon as the function of reading or writing block is called.

  I would like to know why this is happening and what can be done to remedy this. The Subvi in question is provided. This VI is called at various points in the program do acquire a waveform. The inititialize and narrow subVIs are called outside the Subvi.

• cDAQ inverted channels

  When we test the material of MAX, output relay work correctly, but when we run the exe of LabVIEW, the relay outputs are swapped - write A, relay B relay lights.

  We are moving (from CFP) to cDAQ with LabVIEW 2010.  LabVIEW is on a desktop PC, target has not installed LabVIEW.  The two machines running Windows 7.

  Anyone seen this before?

  What do you mean by "the exe of LabVIEW?  Do you mean that you run LabVIEW in "development" mode, and within LabVIEW, run LabVIEW code?  If so, please send the code.  If this isn't the case, please provide details.

  In my experience (limited), if I did in MAX, it has the same way in DAQmx/LabVIEW (unless I made a stupid mistake).

• Length of recording Oscilloscope Tektronix TDS 3014 B

  When I say the oscilloscope take how many data points, it works sometimes, for example using 500, 6000 or 10000 points very well. For other lengths Records as 2000 or 2500 the oscilloscope has nothing on his screen and I don't know why or what I see a pattern. If anyone else knows how it works, please let me know!

  In case anyone was wondering, it turns out that this oscilloscope has a 500 or mode of data from 10,000 point. If you choose 10 000 and try to take less, it will simply cut the remaining data points. If you try to take more, you'll get blank data return. I don't know why some of my number choice is not simply cut data, but anyway, 500 or 10,000 never causes an error, so I should be ok.

• Read the channel 1 and channel 2

  I went through the basic course Lab View 1 and I'm starting to understand some of them. I struggle to write the next request in Lab View 8.5 and version 2011.

  I need to write a VI for the Tektronix TDS 210 2 channel oscilloscope to be able read channel 1 and channel 2 (x and y). Also, I have to run this scope as scope of digital storage (remember the waveform in the memory and be able to remember specific time range) I downloaded the driver for the scope and I am able to run the only form of wave or multiple wave VI, but I do not know how to change these VI in order to function as I mentioned above.

  I need to know how I can lock this VI as the instrument always follows the same GPIB address.

  Could someone help me with this project please?

  Make a constant on the block diagram. It is an option to click right when you are on the block diagram. I also recommend the creation of an alias for it to the MAX (i.e. "extended"). In this way, if the address changes, you don't have to change the program.

• Configure the second channel of TDS 2012 scope

  Howdy,

  Our laboratory has recently acquired a range of Tektronix TDS2012 dual channel and I'm getting so he can play nice with Labview 8.5. I downloaded the plug-and-play drivers and the accompanying screw sample without problem. I connected the scope via a GPIB-USB-HS adapter. PC running Win2k.

  The screws of the sample and some of my creations seem to be great with the exception of a question to work. I can't for the life of me get the vertical scale on the second channel to do what I want. When I use "Example VI" of the driver and set the Volts/Div to anything for a reading of CH2, changes the CH1 setting (?), it does indeed read CH2. I can't find where I could adjust the parameters of CH2 regardless... the vi "Set up display" seems to be independent channel.

  Any thoughts?

  Hi Matt,

  I just downloaded the Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000 project series Style Driver of instruments here, and there is no screws with the word "vertical" in them.  To make sure that you use the style of the project pilot, go to C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\instr.lib\Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000 series and confirm that there is a file of Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000 Series.lvproj it and that the screws are in folders, not a Bachelor's degree in law.  The VI that you will use to configure the vertical range is Set up Channel.VI.  Pay close attention to the VI and control documentation.

• How to control two channels of simultaneous functions AFG 3200 B generator?

  The AFD 3200 B function generator has two channels. I want to use both channels generations some vague simultaneous sin. I downloaded the labview driver: Tektronix AFG 3000 Series.

  I did three things:

  (1) try to connect to two channels in VI.

  However, all the screws of example do not support the connection of the name of two channels simultaneously.

  (2) run only two signals generating VI with another name for channel at the same time.

  However, a single channel runs after the other.

  Do you have any suggestions?

  Hey Wu,.

  You need two sine waves to be completely synchronized (aka having the same exact phase)?

  If they must be synchronized, then the AFG should on the two output channels at the same time, but you will probably need to configure serial in your program.

  If they do not need to be synchronized, then is there a reason why you would not be able to simply divided between the output signal two BNC? If this isn't an option, then you will probably need to make some kind of trigger to get both channels to start at the same time.

• Timeing TDS 3034 B using Ethernet VISA controls

  I'm trying to control an oscilloscope Tektronix TDS to 3034 B by Ethernet. I have set up the scope of Measurement & Automation Explorer and can't open a VISA session using the button "validate". However, when I use VISA test panel to write "* IDN? \n' and read the response, I get the following:

  Have you selected VXI-11 or RAW? I don't know which method is supported for the scope. I hope the manual would explain, but since there are only three options for a network device, you can quickly all try and see if you get better results.

• Cannot detect the instrument (TDS 210)

  Hello, I have difficulty to connect PC tektronix TDS 210. I use GPIB USB HS, operating system is windows 7, NOR-488-3. The problem is after I installed everything needed for this configuration, using the measurement and automation, I can't detect Tektronix TDS 210. Is it something related to software or oscilloscope itself, because GPIB USB HS works fine with any other instrument, except this one.

  If you go to the GPIB section, you will see that you need to go to tools-> Options-> GPIB Setup on the scope.  Under this menu is a Bus connection.  It must be on talk-listen so that you will be able to talk to the instrument.

• Problem! Garland of two Tektronix scopes

  I'm having problems trying to string together two oscilloscopes from Tektronix TDS 210 identical GPIB port on a single computer. If only one scope is enabled, LabView can recognize, however when the two are put on rather than recognize them as two separate instruments, it seems to get confused and claims it is only an instrument that does not work.

  I managed to exclude certain fundamental issues, for example the GPIB leads the two oscilloscopes are known to work properly and a Garland of oscilloscopes and a different instrument of GPIB works very well. I also tried two possible configurations of the chain, that is to say; the two scopes directly into the computer or a single scope in the computer, then a GPIB drive between the staves.

  It would be explained in the manual. With some instruments, you put the dipswitches on the back. With others, it is made of one of the instrument on the menu screen.

  I know I guess a little here, but have you downloaded a specific device of ni.com/idnet driver?  This is a good place to find the built-in drivers for third-party devices, and there is one for this particular model.  That being said, when I looked at the examples in the downloaded zip file, I saw a couple of predefined options that look like they should satisfy question #2 of your project based on the method to use to acquire a waveform (permanently, several waveforms, etc.).  Similarly, in the Public folder is a configuration of channel VI which I think should satisfy what you are wanting to do to the #1 question.

  Depending on what you are willing to do data analysis, with regard to the software used, functions, etc., there are several reporting tools in LabVIEW which will allow you to save the table and manipulate later. A good place to begin with, it will be to search for "File i/o" in the search bar helps LabVIEW and select the option under the heading "Palette."  There are several options here that I think might be useful, including writing in the file.vi worksheet.

  It will be also good to be familiar with the Finder example OR in LabVIEW.  There are examples of spreadsheets / saving data, as well as VISA, which you can do some reading on, because the interface VISA, it's how you communicate with this device (Fortunately, the driver already download it!)
