Temperatures > 100 ° C CPU

I have a HP p7 - 1380 computer t n with:

Inner 500w PSU

H-Joshua-H61-Μatx motherboard

graphics NVIDIA GTX 660

I just replaced the i5-3330 stock with an i5-3570 (non - K). The computer boots fine, but fans are very load and idle the temperatures are around 105 C. The air coming out of the computer felt particularly cool. The software I use to the hovel of temperatures is called SpeedFan. I don't know if it's possible that there is a malfuncion in the software or the reading of temperature sensors.

I noticed that when I installed the stock CPU fan, all 4 legs seemed sure; However, the fan seems to drag and down the legs. I don't know if it of a problem or not.

I turned off my computer to not to damage the components.

How can I solve this problem?

Thank you.

Hello

If you use the standard Intel fan and heat provided with the new Intel processor then your statement about fan sliding top down is not plausible that the fan and the heatsink thermal work together as one piece.  The four screws fastening heatsink heat when inserted correctly into the motherboard and turned to the locked position position will pull the heat sink firmly downwards and in contact with the processor.  The dough thermal preapplied should be sufficient, although I prefer it clean and use Arctic Silver 5.

Tip: Use only one application to monitor thermal temperatures both multiple applications may interfere with the temperature.

    Hello

First of all I m a little carful with this type of material followed tools regarding the temperature of the CPU. I mean that if everything is ok, the laptop will not shut itself or something else. In my opinion these tools may not can read the temperature correctly.

In any case, 72 ° C is in my opinion a little too high. You should try to clean the laptop. I guess there are a lot of dust in the radiator. Use the jet of compressed air to clean the laptop, it can blow out the dust.
This is why you should not disassemble the laptop so it of pretty easy to use.

    Hi-

I just brought a new X 1 - All in One ThinkCenter. Due to improper handling, I was forced to reinstall the computer using the Reovery disc. Everything was fine... but now the fan is kicking in every 30 seconds even when the CPU is not used... I apply the flash BIOS (m0hjy30usa) without any positive results...

Any idea that can help me understand the question? Should I have the latest BIOS flash?

Thanks a lot for your help

    Hi-

I tried a couple of solution by myself and a change in the power management... So far, it seems that this has a huge impact on the temperature of the CPU. I'm currently running at 41 Cel. (104 F) and I ran a few tests Stress CPU without any problem. Although the system is 91 C / 195F when the CPU is at 100%... (as usual seems to me at this point). Do you think that I still need to change my processor? I hate doing things if it is not necessary? Do you think I should give a long essay of my solution? Thanks for your help. Sophie,

  • What is a normal temperature of the CPU - Satellite A200-1Yk

After several accidents, I installed the utility coretemp on A200-1YK my wife.
He told me that the CPU runs at about 90 degrees, sometimes up to 95.
According to [Intel | http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLA4K#] there a maximum of 100 degrees.

That seems quite high, but I don't know what should be the normal operating temperature. Anyone who has the same model can tell me at what temperature should I expect it to run to?

    Hello

The temperature of the CPU is always different. It always changes during execution of programs.
Using high performance applications, all parts such as CPU or GPU must operate with maximum performance and it would increase the internal temperature.

But you're right. 90 degrees looks a bit too high, even if the processor can handle this temperature.
I think that the cooling modules must be verified. Sometimes the dust and debris prevents the fans work properly and air can circulate properly.

You can try to remove the dust using a jet of compressed air... in most cases, it helps to

    Hi dariod

You can't find any info on the idle temp for this processor and graphics card because the temperature level is always different.
The laptop temperature depends on the temperature of the environment, the use of the laptop and power settings.

In Win Vista, you can change some settings to be able to affect the temperature of the CPU and the cooling module feature:

In addition, you must update the BIOS if a new BIOS update is available.

Turn off the NAP. Most likely you don't need it.

Try each of them in order. A test to see if the computer works properly:

    1. Reset the PRAM
    2. Reset the controller (SMC) system management
    3. Start the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart normally. It's slower than a standard home.
    4. Repair the disk by booting to the HD recovery immediately after that the chime press the command and R keys until the Utility Menu appears. Choose disk utility and click on the continue button. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) volume entry of the list to one side.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Usually if the temperature is too high and the laptop overheating the laptop automatically stops without any error message.

The temperature rises to a higher level so high performance applications running and the laptop needs all the CPU and GPU power. It's a simple fact...

  • Qosmio F20-136: how to check the temperature of the CPU?

someone knows how can I check what temperature turns or a program that will tell me and also is it possible to adjust fan settings?

    I have a Qosmio F20-136

    Hello

You can find in the management tool of power under the method of cooling setting of the cooling fan.
Try to set it to the lower level. I know that cooling fan is sometimes too loud, but you must know that you have high technology with powerful hardware components unit. Material is placed on the square and must be properly cooled to avoid damage.

I really put t whether a tool can show you the temperature of the CPU. Check in the advanced search if you can find a similar topic. Long ago, I read the discussion on this subject.

  • Question about the temperature of the CPU on the Satellite A100-599

    Hello..

I own an A100-599. When working on electrical energy, my laptop runs very hot. When windows is idle, the core temperature is about 45 to 55 degrees Celsius. and when winamp goes it is about 50-60 degrees Celsius.

is this normal? What are your temperatures? can anyone share system temperatures?
can I send my phone service?

    Hi dude

Don t worry about temperature of the CPU. Changes in temperature and it is variable.
The temperature level depends on the use of the laptop and
the CPU temperature will be higher if some applications are running!

While it is absolutely not unusual to say 50-60 degrees temperature. It of normal!

Did you know that Toshiba laptops support protection against overheating? Not?
You don't have to be afraid. If the temperature is too high the notebook will stop down automatically to avoid overheating of the material. ;)

    Enjoy your nice toy ;)

  • Temperature of the CPU in Toshiba Satellite l500-1ef

    Hello!

I bought Toshiba Satellite l500-1ef November and up to now laptop worked brilliant. Three-four weeks, touchpad and little space to the left of the touchpad began to be hot. I checked the temperature of the CPU in Toshiba PC Health Monitor (v 1.4.1.64), and it was about 30%, with 40% of the cooler. The temperature is increased over time and now, after four weeks, the touchpad is warmer, and is approximately 45-50% od CPU temperature, with 50 to 60% the use of the cooler.

I am using laptop for Internet only, work in MS Word and listen the music, sometimes I play Warcraft III on it, I have Windows 7.

Should I go with PC support, or it is normal in my model?

    Hi mate

It s nothing unusual that the touchpad would be hot from the CPU and cooling modules are placed near the touchpad.
So in my opinion, you shouldn't be worried about it.

Laptop s temperature can increase after a certain time of use
In this case due to the dust inside the cooling fans
If you wish, you can try to remove the dust using a jet of compressed air
I do from time to time and this helps to keep the temperature at the lower level

  • Temperature of the CPU on x 220 (t)

    Hello guys,.

IM using win8 on x 220 tablet. The last months because of a problem with my power supply, I used the 90W Adapter.

    a few questions-

is there any official lenovo software to measure the temperature of my cpu? any program Windows 8?

It is possible that through a heating 90W AC adapter more easily than 65W adapter?

(they are all two official lenovo adapters)

Identical to 65W 90W will work for you. They are the two 20V. The machine will draw only as much current as it needs on an adapter. If she needs 40 Watts, it will draw 2 amps either. I always suggest TPFancontrol. It is not manufactured by Lenovo, but it's good and free.
