Can you be more specific?  Is there a question here?

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

If you are comfortable with the stability of your system, you can delete the uninstall of patches which has installed Windows XP...

You can run disk - integrated into Windows XP - cleanup to erase everything except your last restore point and yet more 'free '... files cleaning

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
2. click on the System Restore tab.
3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
-Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
-Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

I am creating a Flash photo album and left many pictures in my work. However, my project has recently stopped working in Flash Player and either crashes or causes an error message indicating that too much memory is in use. I need all these pictures in my photo album, so removal of some is out of the question. Is there any other way to fix my project?

Yes, not to put one of the photos in the photo album manually.  Have them all loaded dynamically. You will not have to leave one of them and update the album will not require editing, just change the data file, you use that identifies the images and add images to the collection.

  • AVG says using too much memory because multiple firefox is open, but I only see one.

AVG regularly analyzes in the background. Lately he has demonstrated a popup window that says multiple applications of Firefox are running and using too much memory, so I should close some. But I can only see 1. Tried CTRL ALT DEL to see if I could find the answer, but only showed 1 firefox, and that he used more than 28 000. So I think that AVG is correct, but does not know how to see what who or where they are. They DO NOT display in the lower menu on the main screen, so I guess they are in the background. Do not have the virus, and Firefox, regularly updates itself. What should I do to fix?

It is true, that you should only be able to run only one instance of Firefox at the same time. I searched but could not find someone else with a similar problem. If the problem comes back to Firefox running slowly, you can consult this article for troubleshooting:

The maximum allowed to my machine is Total = 312 mb.

I put back the original 128 MB & started stick & apparently, I have 66 MB of RAM?

Adding to this 66 MB 256 = 314 MB! 2Mbmb more than max allowed.
I tried 2 different sticks of 256 of ram to my other laptop Toshiba & still no boot [prove it is the amount of ram?]

Am or work around for this I stuck running on only 192 MB?

    Help K Morton

    Hello Morton

This is a very stupid situation. That I can see, nobody has written anything in the last 3 days and to be honest, it is not easy to say why this happens.

I don't really have experience with these cases, but maybe you can try to update BIOS. Check Toshiba support page and try to update BIOS. Maybe BIOS values will be refreshed, and after that the memory will be displayed as it should be.

  • USB6356 read.vi daqmx takes too much memory

I use 6356 USB data acquisition, when I took the data, the DAQmx memory of PC more read.vi. To certain extent, show "there not enough memory to complete.  I put 2 ms/channel and frequency Hz 1 M, I know he is very big. But then daat 6 - 7 times without problem. My PC has 3 G of memory.

It seems that DAQmx read to store more data in the buffer. I have set my vi here, please check what mistake I did here or how to improve it.

    Thanks Liming

    Hi detech,.

DAQmx read takes 16 MB of memory because it allocates a buffer to return the data you request. You use the type of waveform data and ask for 2 million samples. Each element in the waveform data type is a point value double floating precision, which each take 8 bytes to store. So the 16 MB you see used is (8 bytes per sample) x (2 million samples).

To get samples of 2 M, you will need to use this amount of memory, and it is not a simple way around this. However, the problem you are having is that whenever the loop runs, you need additional continuous data for the chart of waveform, which is distinct from the memory used by DAQmx, because the waveform table keeps a history of 16 MB.

If you pass in a waveform curve, or simply the result of your FFT graph, I suspect that your problems will be solved, you will use only 16 MB (more the overhead of DAQmx and LabVIEW) at some point.

    Ahmad0703... _

    None of this seems unusual.

    MsMpEng.exe is Microsoft Security Essentials.

Svchost.exe (netsvcs) hosts Windows Update. The memory usage goes up to approximately 1 MB if possible during the verification of the update or install updates the definitions of MSE.

A vacation message memory when there is available RAM is caused by the paging file is too small. Windows ensures that it is able to provide virtual memory that programs have asked even if they don't have not used them. If the allocated memory was greater than the amount of RAM and paging file space, Windows starts to reject requests for memory allocation.

  • By the last updated 21/07/2015, where is the + in the message pane? The message pane takes up too much real estate.

I like the very compact message pane. In the last updated 21/07/2015, the '+' disappeared and the message pane takes too much space. I'm willing to change Thunderbird mail readers.

Please put ultra compact/a '+' back a.s.a.p. I tried ALL the tools and Menus for this already.

The + and - are from an add on which you installed to sometimes called Compact Headers. That add needs to be updated to work with the new version of Thunderbird.
Go to add it on the page and are looking for Compact headers. There is a new version that works with versions of Thunderbird 37 to 40.

FYI: People, answer the questions here are users like you and really don't care what email client you use. Make a threat to stop using free software isn't really a threat.

  • Svchost is taking too much memory, help please?

My computer started lagging randomly the other day and I checked the Task Manager processes and saw svchost was using almost 600 k of memory and about 40% of the CPU. I right click the svchost and went to services and seen it as things netsvcs the svchost related.

I didn't know what to do and could not find a way to solve this problem, so I decided that I would just restore my computer with my CD of Windows 7 Ultimate. The reinstallation of Windows 7 (formatted my HD), it would allow me to make updates. I kept getting errors (8007001F I think is most often, I got) I searched and searched on the error I received, but could not find anything useful. So I ignored just updated. Now the svchost is take a lot of memory. Mind you, until I reinstalled Windows 7, my computer has been updated and the svchost was taking a lot of memory. Here are the screenshots.

Also, I try to put an end to the process, but it results in a blue screen and restart sometimes.

    http://www.Tinypic.com/r/20saf51/6

    http://www.Tinypic.com/r/31488kg/6

I suggest you download Process Explorer. This freeware utility performs a similar function to the Windows Task Manager, but it goes much further.

For more information about Process Explorer, see here:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/SystemInformation/ProcessExplorer.mspx

When you open the process Explorer, you need customize settings. This by checking the options on the view menu drop-down. Click Select columns, and then the process Image tab check all the boxes before description, Image, Image Type and command line path. I suggest that you click also on two other options in the drop-down display, namely show processes from all users and display fractions CPU.

The extent to which you can customize is considerable. You can change the information displayed and this sometimes leads to confusion and frustration.

Processes are listed in the left column. Some names appear to be duplicated. This isn't so. Svchost.exe is an apparent example of duplication. You generally listed something like 10 cases. If you right-click one and select properties and the Image tab you will find that the command line is different for each instance of svchost.exe. Each instance of svchost.exe is another group of services. You can see a list of these Services if you click on the Services tab.

  • Face tracking is eaten too much memory

I have a 4 k turned that I try to face detailed tracking, and I couldn't have spent perhaps 1500 frames before AE gives me an error telling me that I need of more memory. So I resized the 960 x 540 kick, and I still get the error. What gives, no doubt I should be able to do more than 1500 images - shooting is about 5 minutes long.

I'm on a 2015 Mac Pro, 32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 RAM ECC, 3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5, latest version of After effects.

Is there something I can do to make this work? Also, I noticed that I can't follow ProRes shots, h264 only seems to work?

Five minutes of ve is a huge amount of time for a tracking shot.  To minimise processing time made your original video to a sequence of images and follow that. If this does not help, you will need to split the shooting in segments. Follow-up takes a lot of memory and he eats very fast. Doesn't make much difference what tractor you use, they all swallow up memory like crazy.
