Terminal screw VirtualBench

Hello

I would like to know how can I buy the following two terminal screws for the VirtualBench (cf. photo):

-DC Power Supply Connection terminal screw plug-in, not 3.81 mm, 6 positions, 30 to 14 AWG
-Digital i/o connection, simply snap-in screws, height 3.5 mm, 14 posts, 30 to 14 AWG

Someone their serial number? Or does anyone know another appropriate manufacturer?

Thank you much in advance.

Good day

Juan

The list of accessories in the help document has the part number 783565-01.

What cables and accessories can be used with VirtualBench?

  • Use the PXI-2630 terminal block in a matrix configuration?

My apologies in advance for the length of this post!

I use the PXI system with PXI-2530 switch modules, related to a series of USE with PXI-2632 (1W matrix 8 X 16) connector blocks and a PXI-4071 DMM for each switch module. My request, uses the PXI system for measurement of current and voltage external to verify and/or benefit from restraints of reliability. A requirement of the application, therefore, is that there must be a ride from DC through each USE with change of the minimum impedance as the application between its "bypass" mode switches and its mode 'measure '.

I used this Setup with connector blocks of matrix in conjunction with one of our test systems, and I am satisfied with the results. I started working with the Test System, has no easy connection to catch HAD, I needed to build a kind of interface the PXI system and a resistive faced load HAD, it was not difficult to build in the wires that attach to the Terminal screw of the 2632. He did turn into a nest of a coded son rat I did my best to keep clean and tidy in different bundles, however. Fortunately for the cable fasteners!

My next task is to use this application with system B Test, which has an interface of pines buck header with which each signal that goes to or from the DUT can be obtained. No welding or pass the wires through the openings where the designers have no intention of son to be stuffed. I intend to build a break-out Board that allows simple connections between the modules PXI and the number of Test B system which we have or will have in our laboratory. In order to simplify the configuration/installation, I want to reduce the number of connections to terminal block screw. Preferably, I would like to completely remove the screw terminals and use lever-based connections where I can't have mating of the headers. The PXI-2632 terminal blocks unfortunately use Terminal screw.

In matrix mode 8 X 16, the closing of the PXI-2530 switch kcom1, 3, 5, 7, no matter what points in the array are connected. A link between the row of right and column C is done by closing the switch corresponding to k (16R-C). I checked using the Soft Front Panel.

I also have a number of connector PXI-2630 blocks. These are intended to be used with the switch module in one of its MUX modes and include 8 banks of connections of the header 2 X 9 pins. In the the 2530 documentation and 2630, I identified that switch k-x is associated to chX output pin, ch0-15 related to the pins 1-16 from Bank 0, C16 - 31-associated pins 1-16 of Bank 1, etc.. X = 16 B + P-1. PIN 18 of each bank is used for independent MUX topology comX. Pines multiplexes sixteen seem to correspond to the sixteen columns of the matrix, with eight common lines corresponding to eight lines.

Here's what I would do, but I would like to ping the forum to see if anyone tried something similar and wisdon to share the thought:

    • Make custom cables which connect the pins 1-16 of all eight banks 2630's header with a single Ribbon connections 16 son carrying the signals emitted by the interconnected banks (poles!).

    • The custom cable bundle will also include a wire connected to the pin18 of each of the eight banks (line connections!)

    • 24 total wires in the harness will end in the header connections who will probably partner by the lines that I currently connect to each object to be measured.

    • Make additional harnesses that interface with the Test System B header pins.

    • Make a map of derivation using band Council or a similar material to provide header pins to connect the two above custom cables and allow the connection of other elements such as resistors using Terminal level.

I checked this concept using the Assembly of 176 pins four terminals, like a bunch of little pieces of wire and cable. Are there other issues that I have to configure, such as the elements of a terminal that establish physical components of the switching topologies? The bowels of the PXI-2632 provide more features than the interconnection of the sets of eight sixteen pins? The bowels of the PXI-2630 connect elements that do not allow my proposed scheme?

I appreciate the suggestions and all entries!

    Thank you

    Jeff Zola

    Hi Jeff,

First a correction to my previous post: 2632 Terminal has no reed relay protection resistors as I said earlier. The resistance that you were referring to the 2632 and those that I confused, is there to connect the columns of the switch. Resistances have a resistance value zero and act as the electrical connections. The 2632 connects columns c0 to c16, c17 c1, c2 to c18 and so on. Switch cards 2531 and 2532 have the protection relay reed on board resistors.

As for resistance in the map that protect the reed relays, they are generally very low and do not significatly affect even small tensions that pass through the switch. The resistance won't affect all currents in the map. Any effect that the resistors have on tensions will be with the precision of the switch card specifications.

Thus, to address the other issue in your post, there is no resistance in the connectors because they are not necessary.

  • Create the screw terminals in Multisim

    Hello

I am looking for a Terminal screw in Multisim to use for laying on a wiring diagram. These do not exist or would have to create it? If I create it, someone at - it a simple way to do it (I have never had one to create a component, etc. in Multisim before)?

    Thanks for your help.

    Mike

    Hi Mike,.

What is your version of Multisim? There is a screw in version 13 block in the connectors for group, the TERMINAL_BLOCKS family.

If the component you need isn't available, you can use the Component Wizard (Tools menu) to create a component layout only . Keep in mind that the man you need to create a custom print. For your reference, here are two tutorials:

Creating a custom component of NI Multisim

Creating a custom in NI Ultiboard component

Note that the first tutorial is for creating components simulatable, in your case you don't need a SPICE model for the Terminal screw.

Here's another tip. If you can't find the Terminal screw in Multisim, but you will find a similar component, you can simply change. Just place the similar part, open its Properties window (right click), select the value tab then click on change the component in DB. After the edition of this component, you will need to save your user database.

    Hope this helps Mike.

  • The SCB-68 wiring diagram

    Hello all,.

I have a beautifully SCB-68 connector block 68 pins. Can anyone provide me with the wiring diagram?

I went through the guides provided, but I have a few questions.

    (1) how exactly work the switches?

    (2) what is the need to provide + 5v to the part of conditioning of signals? (As for signal conditoning, we use some resistors and capacitors)

    (3) where do we always connect us our signal? It is always the terminals screw or is it depends on the requirement of signal conditioning?

    (4) if we use a conditioning of signals, which are input terminals? And what con terminals signals reaching data acquisition?

    Concerning

    -Vaidhin.

    Hey,.

the Circuit diagram is shown to these PDF on page 82-83. (SCB-68 68-pin shielded connector manual user Block)

The sensor you want to use is never connect with the Terminal screw,

The switches have the following functions:

    S1--> 5V supply

    S2--> DGND

    S3--> AIGND

    S4--> PES or differential measurement

    S5--> (cold junction Compensation) CJC

  • Custom PCB connection

    Hi all

I use the NI SMU-6363 map to control my measurement sequence. The only way to get the signals input/output to the card is through the SHC68-68-EPM cable using the SCB-68 screw terminal has. However, the Terminal screw requires a lot of space useless and wiring, which is essentially redundant in my application. The best way for me would be to make a PCB custom (carrying all relays, sensors, clamping devices, etc.) which would be connected to the Board directly via the cable. I could find the original used to screw terminal connector, but I have found no pinout describing the signals on the connector. It would be nice if NEITHER could share these patterns, so it would not be necessary to use the original or if there is even some (for example Eagle) library that contains these parts. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Thank you in advance for all your comments!

    Martin

    Dear Martin (Buli),

the pinout of the 6363 is here:

    http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/374651c.PDF#page=23 (Fig. 9)

The SHC68-68-EPM cable wiring is here:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/DE2D842E545DE64B86256F78006EAB1A

Combining these two information you are able to design a customized with the connector PCB, as for the SCB - 68. BTW the SCB-68 connector has is: PC - E (68) MD or PC - E (68) LMD or PCS-E (68) LMD (T) - depends on the form factor (detroit, right angle, with of boardlock). Or even other "subtypes". Generally, this is a serie.050 connector. Just find a serious producer, and on his site, you can download a template, or demand on their part.

    Hope this helps.

  • How to wire a pressure transducer loop 2 wires for the NI 9949 RJ - 50

I am new to the NC and data record.

I want to connect a 4/20mA, pressure sensor loop 2 son of a Terminal screw OR 9949 RJ - 50... that will then connect to an entrance NI 9237 module.

The NI 9237 module is installed in a chassis OR compact 9174 DAQ.

I shall be measure the pressures of air brakes truck to compressed air system of zero kPa (gauge pressure) up to allowance of 1000 kPa (gauge pressure).

The 2 wires on the transducer are identified as: food + and + signal

I would appreciate it please advice on the appropriate terminals on the NI 9949 RJ - 50

Unfortunately, it seems that you have the wrong module for this task.  The 9237 is used to measure the production of bridge-based sensors (for example, a strain gauge).  Signals that it is supposed to measure are fundamentally different from the 4-20mA signal pressure transducer outings.

Take a look at the NI 9203, 9207 or 9208.  All have at least a few channels designed to take a current 4-20mA input.  Then, give the team nor a (877-387-0015) call to talk through your application and make sure that you select the right equipment for what you want to do.

  • Does anyone have a pinout for the UMI OR AKD Drive Cable?

I make a motion controller with an NI 7350 card with evasion NI UMI-7774.  I connect to the UMI-7774 to a drive Kollmorgan AKD with UMI OR AKD drive cable.  This cable has a terminal of 20 pin block which I believe includes the home and limit switch signals, but I don't have a pinout of the UMI to AKD drive cable to verify this.  Anyone know where I can get this pinout?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Can be found on page 8 of the manual of getting started with the NI 7340/7350 and AKD Servo Drives Motors controllers the pinout of the connector terminal screws 20 pins of the UMI to AKD drive cable. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions or is not what you are looking for.

  • Help with PXI OR 4070 DMM and OR PXI MUX 2501

    Dear alls,

Sorry to post a simple question, but I couldn't understand it.

My PXI1033 chassis has NI 4070 Flexdmm and NI PXI MUX 2501, block of connection OR-TB2605, 1 thread by MAX-mode configuration.

I'm trying to measure 3 voltages (from 2V to 5V) by connecting them to ch0, ch1, ch2 MUX2501 (Terminal screw for example 67,66,65 and common screw terminal 27).

Any device passes self-test to the MAX.

I then use NOR-DMM/Switch Express, swap the added devices and also scan list.

Trigger is PXI; Handshake (PXI trigger 0 and 1 PXI trigger)

However, I could not measure all the signals.

I also try with other examples in LabVIEW help, but have still no results.

    Am I missing something?

And, although the trigger section is very clearly explained, I have no idea how the DMM to run his measure through switching and multiplexing. How DMM connected MUX?

I noticed that the DMM and the switch share the same trigger bus (two of them bus trigger 1), but their local buses are different (DMM: local bus left/right = 2, 4, and buses premises MUX left/right = 3.5)

    Your advice is much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Van.

    Lonestar thanks!

  • NI PCI-6250 connection equivalent laptop USB or PCI-6250

    Hi all

I want to connect a 6250 PCI card to the laptop. Is there a way I can do?

Are there any equivalent USB for this?

    Thanks in advance,

As I was saying that the USB-6351 incorporates a Terminal screw, so it should not VHDCI (like your 6250) or SCSI card.

  • Using the sensor IR of Mikron m770s with labview

I use a detector to spot m770s Mikron infrared with a chassis PXI and LabVIEW. The material I have is m770s (4-20ma output), a current of CSC-C120 input connector module, SCC-68 of e/s, NOR-PXI-6221 M series: DAQ with DAQmx and a PXI-OR-1033 chassis.

I tried to set this up, Max and it seems to work, but when I tried to extract actual data from the probe in LabVIEW, I got nothing.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thank you!

    Hi PollardVT,

A slowly increasing way continuous signal would be an expected behavior for a terminal not connected to a data acquisition device (more information in this knowledge base).  I would first check that everything is wired up correctly and there is no bent pins or loose connections.

You might want to try to replace the entry on your SCC-CI20 resistances.  Information on how to do it on page 4 of the Manual of the SCC-CI20is provided.

If this is not enough, I would check to make sure that the combo of 6221 / SCC - 68 data acquisition work properly.  The SCC-68 manual describes how to set up the SCC-68 as a Terminal screw (on the bottom of page 28).  Choosing to use the SCC-68 as your Terminal gives you access to all the entries on the DAQ hardware.  I would try to connect to a known voltage source (8 and 14 pins are + 5 Volts) to one of the terminals of input analog to see if you can measure a voltage signal.  This will allow to check if your 6221 and your SCC - 68 are connected properly.

Let me know how to work these suggestions.  If you still have problems, you could send a screenshot of your hardware configuration in MAX?

    -John

  • Output signal analog two at the same time with the SCC-68. Is this possible?

    Hello!

I plug in my SCC-68 two things. You're driving in the ao0 (22 screw terminals) and aoGND (55 terminal screw) and a speaker in ao1 (terminal screws 21) and aoGND (55 terminal screw).

I'm trying to generate a sugnal ao1 sine and a DC ao0 signal. Separately, they work, but at the same time they do not have...

I had try in Labview SignalExpress and also...

    Any help?

    Hi Koli,

already use you it in your code. The vi s Express that you marked with ao0 ao1. :-)

  • unusual of PCI 6154

With a PCI 6154 Board that I use with a shielded cable to the Terminal screw CB-37F-LP. In any case, I have two questions of noise:

    (1) is a normal ~0.04V glitch noise for this Board to say ~ 180 kHz? It's the first time we used maps PCI S series and with the glitch, it seems to do much more harm than the NI USB cheaper boards, that we used. Signals in the photo below is a sinusoid of ~ 3 kHz on slowly rising ramp. Low-pass filter output has not healed properly the problem.

    (2) when auto calibration the jury also made an audible sound odd. Sounds like rays for a few, baseball card second long bursts. Could be a string of the relays on the map of quick release but I never heard the noise of the other planks of calibration. Normal?

I was wondering if this forum works normally or not. Self-tests say it's fine, but it performs worse than the other plates (series M and C), that we had and more and more it seems that it is perhaps the main source of noise in our system.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

  • problem of SCB - 68

    I bought a PCI-6251 with SCB - 68.

I am trying to connect my hardware and I have a few questions.

    1. how to connect my motor, encoder and the potentiometer to scb - 68? Do I need to connect to the i/o connector or srew terminals? Who is the axis of entry and that is the output pin?
    2. I would like to use it to give one analog on my engine and output analog out my knob and get an output of my encoder. Is it true that the switch must be set as in "MIO with disabled temperature detection mode (default configuration) *" as an attachment page 5 in the "scb-68 manual.pdf"?
    3. do I need to do steps 4 to 6 as in page 4 in attachment "scb-68 manual.pdf"? What is a 'son of signals' mentioned in steps 4 and where are the other end of the wires connected to terminals screw must be connected?
    4. do I need to run step 10 for my application as in question 2?
    5. I went to ni.com/info/f/ and enter the info code rdwpdf as in step 2, but can't get anything. What should I do?

    1. the connection to the DAQ device made by a cable between it and the e/s connector. There are no entries and exits on the SCB-68. There are inputs and outputs on your data acquisition card. Since there is a one-to-one correspondence, once you know the pin of the data acquisition card, connect to the Terminal screw of the SCB-68 which has the same number.

    2. Yes, you want to disable all temperature sensors.

    3. of course. If you do not connect no matter what, you can not source or measure with the card DAQ. Son of signals are the connections of your components.

    4. No, it's optional.

    5. no idea what the problem is.

  • land-armor of NI 9209

Just a very basic / noob electronic issue specific to the Earth/shielding method of transmitting signals.

I use a module NI 9209 16 channels with connector D-SUB37 (in a slot of the cDAQ), I will use two cables armoured cables (so I'll use differential pins of I, and there is a "third wire" which is the shield around the two internal wires). These armoured cables and connector sub-d - NI9209 will be connected by a cable of Phoenix Contact (female-male-D-SUB37) and a Terminal screw distributor ( https://www.phoenixcontact.com/online/portal/us?uri=pxc-oc-itemdetailid = 2315191 & library = usen & tab = 1 # d... ).

The question is: should I connect my cable signal shielding wires (the shielding of signal cables are connected to the metal boxes of pressure sensors, so not on a spit of COM!) on the spit of land of the terminal screws, so for the shield of the cable D-SUB37? Also, should I sign this global network of shielding one of the pins of the NI9209 COM?

In this way the sensor, the sensor cables armoring cases and the shielding of the cable from the D-SUB37 so common and also connected to the pin of the NI9209 COM...

Is it good wiring, or should I only 'common good' armoring of the different cables, but not connecting them on the spindle of the DAQ hardware COM?

Usually until I just use simple BNC cables (only lead and wire shield as reference, while it was obvious how to connect to them). But now I have to deal with cables of signals with two sons of signals internal + armor.

    Thank you!

Looks like you have a differential connection grounding, illustrated on page 13 of the startup guide 9209. I would try to start. In addition, I think remember that the c series modules use the mass of the cDAQ chassis which should have one leg on the side.

  • Looking for a map of derivation for the IDC sbRIO-9636 headers to access model IOs (or block)

    Hello

I have a sbRIO-9636 and you want to use for prototyping of something.  It has 2 headers of IDC 50 pin access to the many inputs/outputs. The problem is that pitch IDC Council is 2 mm instead of the more standard 2.54 mm (0.1 "). I want to access these IOs model, but all the map of derivation that I can find is 2.54 mm (side of header IDC). I did a lot of google search today but no luck so far.

Is there an easy way to access these sbRIO IO model or a block of endings of the?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi TailOfGon,

I know that the product manager for the Single-Board RIO is still working on getting this displayed product to ni.com, but NEITHER has recently published a map of derivation IDC cable to the connectors of 2mm on Single-Board RIO.  A single derivation card can provide a Terminal screw to the headers of the e/s analog and e/s digital at the same time. The Board match the holes of the sbRIO-962 x and x sbRIO-963 and can be mounted on the underside of the Single-Board RIO with short cables of 2mm (included) to wrap around the map of derivation.

You can add the PN next to the cart on the Web site of NOR, or you can call and place an order:

    sbRIO 2mm IDC connector Breakout
    784507 01

In addition, a partner of Alliance, NOR Cyth Systems, built an escape from edge to edge for headings 2mm on Single-Board RIO as well.  You can see my previous post, including a photo of their derivation here business card:
