unusual of PCI 6154

With a PCI 6154 Board that I use with a shielded cable to the Terminal screw CB-37F-LP. In any case, I have two questions of noise:

(1) is a normal ~0.04V glitch noise for this Board to say ~ 180 kHz? It's the first time we used maps PCI S series and with the glitch, it seems to do much more harm than the NI USB cheaper boards, that we used. Signals in the photo below is a sinusoid of ~ 3 kHz on slowly rising ramp. Low-pass filter output has not healed properly the problem.

(2) when auto calibration the jury also made an audible sound odd. Sounds like rays for a few, baseball card second long bursts. Could be a string of the relays on the map of quick release but I never heard the noise of the other planks of calibration. Normal?

I was wondering if this forum works normally or not. Self-tests say it's fine, but it performs worse than the other plates (series M and C), that we had and more and more it seems that it is perhaps the main source of noise in our system.

Thanks for any thoughts.

  • Only $line0 of digital output NI PCI-6014 accessible, other lines do not react in Labview

    Hello

I have a NI PCI-6014 card with a card BNC 2120 DAQ and Labview 8.6. I'm trying to transmit digital signals, but only the digital IO port $line0 responds to my orders, while lines 1 to 7 don't work at all in Labview. With the measurement and Automation Explorer, I can access all the lines and change their State. I also tested another card (NI PCI-6154) with another card (CB-37F-LP) and had the same problem there (only $line0 of the digital port0 reacted, others don't). I have attached the VI very simple, I used to test digital ports. If the problem is known and what can I do about it?

    Thank you!

Good never mind digital ports do not not Boolean signals, except $line0, which strangely accepts integers...

  • PCIe-8381 corrupter BIOS

I have a PCIe-8381 on one card motherboard chipset Intel. Problem occurs after the marketing of the SMU-1065 chassis, then the PC. PC reports BIOS is damaged and recharging before starting without any additional problems. Everything seems fine, Max with all the cards in the chassis reports normally. Reboot PC works fine - have only problem when turn on the power for the first time. Should I get to the BIOS compatibility software?

    Hi testlabrlp,

This seems very unusual, give you have already propelled on the chassis before you turn the PC and that the message is only thrown once the first startup of your PC.  How long do you expect to power on your PC after feeding the PXI chassis?

It is not a compatibility problem, since restarting the computer solves the problem and you are able to see full working system.  You have the latest version of the BIOS installed?  It is perhaps that an upgrade is needed to solve the problem.

  • PCI-6221 PFI0 start trigger is stray signals reading

We have a card PCI-6221 attached to a SCB-68 in a control console, we've made dozens of times. However, this time, we will have problems with the beginning of PFI0 relaxation. Operation of the actuators 24 v remote (cable to DAQ card but operated through manual switches) triggers the beginning. We tried a shielded cable and everything is grounded. There is no parasitic voltage coming into the SCB-68 box. We sent also all the other analog I/o box. It's just the son of trigger start going. What is unusual, is that if we give a thread to the PFI0 (Terminal 11) who does not finish anywhere, we just hold in the air, do not cross any other thread, running our actuator valves still initiates the trigger. If we remove the wire, it does not raise. It's almost as if she receives wireless signals. But how wireless receives + 5V to trigger I don't understand. We also tried to use a spare PCI-6221, same known issue work. When you view the PFI0 in MAX, flipping the switch actuator will cause the counter generate 400 + charges. A normal release with our power switch usually generate 10-20-count indictment. We are really puzzled. Thanks for any help!

Don't have not an answer to the first question, will have to research.

THA Cabinet is wired the same, the only difference is that we added a transformer so that the system can run on the seas, but has not actually been hooked again, sitting in the Cabinet.

Yes, we used a cable leading to one end. We tried the ground at both ends, the same results. I also waved to the cable in the air and a people in the head with it, it made me feel better.

Don't think on the unused entries in the Earth. Personally, I think that the PFI0 is to be triggered with less than the + 5V, the scope is the very low voltage reading.

But I found a solution. I mentioned in the original post that trigger actuator, just once, causing 400 + edge detections/counts when viewing in MAX. It is a large number of charges in such a short time. So I programmed in a digital filter using a min pulse width. ".". 00256. Eliminating the 400 + short bursts of any signal. I used the example of filtering VI in this knowledge base article:

For those who have similar problems, there is no physical change, just incorperate of wiring of the filter.

  • Mac Pro 5 1-PCIe Configuration

    Hello

I have upgraded my Mac Pro 5, 1 (model mid-2010) with a few changes/additions PCIe and need some advice. Frankly, I was surprised by the fact that the Expansion Slot utility was not usable here and the old interface to help me refine the best configuration. Reading about the possible configuration options started his contradictory between reseources. Anyway, this is what I have:

    Slot 1 (x 16) - ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card

    Slot 2 (x 16) - ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card

Location 3 (4 x) - empty (no physical space due to above)

Unit 4 (x 4) - card Sonnet PCI Tempo SSD Pro Plus

So, is this look of effective configuration for the priority of the data read/write verses performance graphics performance?

    Peace,

    Dr. Z.

The utility of PCI slot is not usable on the 2009 to 2012 Mac pro.

The allocation of housing-gears the 2009 Mac Pro 2012 is fixed, not configurable and is exactly as you say: the two 16 x slots, the two upper slots lower slots are 4 x speed, but of "provide support for up to 16 x cards" (in other words, they use the biggest connectors, but everything beyond 4 x is not connected).

Your installation seems fine. Some users prefer to leave the top slot open for a better circulation of air above all the cards. But as you say, you do not have this option.

4 x is fast enough for this SSD card. Which is about as fast they do these cards so far. Extra speed as a 16 slot x could not possibly serve in the drafting of this article.

Is my mid-2012 13 "MacBook Pro compatible with PCIe SSD upgrade? I want to remove the internal optical disk and edit it in the PCIe SSD, so that I have 2 internal storage. Going to do?

Your mention of an optical drive tells me you have a MBP non-retine.  PCI and PCIe SSDS are NOT compatible with your MBP.  You can install a card standard 2.5 "SSD in your MBP and still experience a significant increase in performance.  I suggest OWC SSD and Crucial.

There is no such cards and until Intel control tokens required to implement love at first sight, it will never be. You do not miss anything. They do not exist.

  • PCI card does not work

    Greetings,

I just bought a PCI Express card to add USB 3.0 to my Mac Pro (2008 model), but it seems to be recognized; Information system called "driver installed: no ' on this card, which is at least in the list of cards.

The accompanying CD has several folders (unknown which is the one I want) but I couldn't find a good.

It's a PCI Express "Delock" card, but there is no product name, except the description.

What can be done to correct the problem?

    Is specific USB what card?

Most require drivers provided by the manufacturer?

  • DVI PCI Card/s for G3 minitour

I am a new Member of this forum and I hope that someone has the necessary answersI. I have a Power Macintosh G3 Beige minitour @ 333 MHz, and I'm on OS 8.5.1. There is a reason, I must stay with OS 8.5.1.

I am wanting to know if there is a Dual-DVI PCI card that will work in this machine, so I can run two monitors via DVI in order to get a higher resolution than is available with VGA. My understanding is that VGA tops out at 1280 x 1024 and I need just a little more.

If there is not an available Dual-DVI card that will work with my setup, how about two single DVI cards? If, by chance, there are two ways, that would be better and two monitors can also..., run off PCI cards without involving the port of regular monitor of the factory. If the port of the factory to be used, is there an adapter (or adapter cable) him/DVI.

I know it's several questions, but get them out of here, in my first post may save some back.

    Thanks for any help, Tom

    Hi & welcome!

In fact, VGA will give you more resolution than DVI.

    Radeon 7000

The 32 MB memory DDR (Double Data Rate) will also help, allowing your computer to display very high resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 at 60 Hz if your analog monitor supports. Resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 are supported using digital flat screen, depending on the individual abilities of your LCD monitor.

  • Constant Crash logs and unusual behavior spotlight?

    Mac Book Pro (early 2011) 17 "quad i7 16 GRAMS / 500 Gb Crucial SSD MX200

    Hello

I get constant crash messages in my console. There is a behavior unusual spotlight as well.

It all started with a hint of delay and backup times with reading of error message "Impossible backup, please try again later"

Spotlight is indexing for long periods of time. Research presented so I tried these possible solutions.

1 (obvious) adding hd/external references to the list of privacy then removing to re-index... No.

2 disable indexing with the terminal and re-activation controls... No.

3 find 10.7.5 additional updated with the hotfix for extended projector or activity of time machine,.

    then focus on disabled,

ran disk utility to repair permissions,.

welcomed my backup run and assumed all was well. I thought that I re activated spotlight and the problem has been resolved, but apparently my console suggested projector has been disabled so I have reactivated the indexing and have had some problems of backup again... (continue)

During my diagnosis, I consulted a friend who looked at my console. He mentioned disk i/o errors and I have maybe need to replace my hard drive soon - I was considering upgrading ssd anyway - so I did the installation and upgrade of RAM.

Now, my attention is directed to my messages to the console.

I get the minute incident reports or more. mdsworker showing an invalid address (?-?)? I don't have a lot of knowledge in regards to the console and how to read the messages, but I do not recognize the word or the fault accident. Any help is appreciated. Can't post a report if required. Thanks in advance!
