Text adjustment handles

Since the release of 2015.5 I've having some problems resizing of text boxes in Photoshop. The side handles (left and right) in particular are almost impossible to grasp. Sometimes trying as much as I just delete the text layer and create a new one, making sure to make it big enough so I don't have to resize.

I was having the same problem too but upgrade (2015.5) and it solved.

    When you attempt to change the size of a text box, the text transformation handles do not register a click.

    Does anyone else have this problem?
    I use the latest version of Photoshop shipped updates to creative cloud. And this problem seems to have happened overnight.

    Then, when I try to click and drag on a handful of corner or transformation, the click does not record and photoshop simply disables the text box.

    Yes, it's the same thing, just an easier way to do it. I've seen this happen with Illustrator and how it was fixed was by reinstalling Illustrator, but I don't know if that will apply with Photoshop.

  • How can you change a text in an image?

    How can you change a text in an image?

    Hi Jasper,.

    It depends on how the text has been staged, and what has been done with the image after that.

    A quick test - what happens when you zoom in on, or enlarge the image?

    If the text retains its edges when amplified, then it can probably be edited separately from the image. If the text begins to show pixelation on the edges (like the picture), then there is no text to change, what looks like adding text is actually part of the image and can only be changed in the same way that you can change anywhere in the image.

    Here is an example:

    The photo is a photo (jpeg format), inserted in a Pages document created with the essay template. White text in the upper left corner of the photo is placed in a text box. To put the photo on this page (and the text on and around it) has been converted to a PNG file. When it is enlarged on this screen, the text finally a pixelated image...

    .. .the easily noticed in the thin relates diagonal 'o'.

    In Pages, however, the text and the picture are separated, and the text is a vector image - mathematically trained and scalable.

    The text here is contained in a text box and the text box was grouped with the photo. To change the text (in Pages), I need to:

    • Click on the text.
      Handles will appear in the corners of the selection.
      That click you select either the entire image OR just simply the text box.
      • IF the handles are blue x characters, the selection is locked
        Go organize (menu) > Unlock
        Sectionals unlocked handles are small white squares.
    • IF the selection includes the entire image
      • Go to the menu, rearrange and choose ungroup
        If the choice to separate is not available, the text may be part of the image and uneditable as text.
        Try to click twice (separated from the clicks, not double click).
        If the insertion point (|) is now in the text, the text is editable as text.
        Change the text.
    • IF the selection looks like a text box and does not the whole image
      • Click on the text to place the insertion point (]) in the text
        Change the text.

    Image showing the insertion point in the text in a text box on the image:

  • allowing the attachment of the handles

    Hello!

    I just downloaded Adobe CC on my CS5.  I use Illustrator for my vector files and rely on the grid for each of them. I found this note they have disabled the slamming of the handles of the pen tool. How can I activate them?

    Adjustment handles are extremely crucial to the way I work. Without the handles snap, I'm losing time and precision with this new CC for 2014. Help, please!

    Snap handles disabling

    < b > (left) < /b > anchor points and handles, two, align a point of reference < br > < b > (right) < /b > Folders snap, but the handles are free

    This applies to situations when you have any type of snap (pixel, grid or point).  For example, in mode overview rasterized, the nod to Pixel function gets activated. This makes the drawing of restrictive path, because anchors and handles align with the pixels.

    Development: In Illustrator, CC 2014 anchor points will continue to honour the rules Slam, but handles will be exempt from this restriction. You have now better control in curves, even when the point of grid/pixel/alignment is turned on.

    As you can see they have disabled the Bezier handles to the network intentionally slamming in CC2014 most don't want that.

    You can place guides on the grid points you want to align. Your Bézier handles will be align to guides, as long as you also nod to the permitted point.

  • CS5: Lag 'hot text' by dragging?

    I don't know if it's just a function of my aging computer or if there is legitimate strangeness going on here, but I find that by dragging the 'hot text' adjustment of any parameter is very laggy. The numbers of don't begin to change for a few moments, and at the moment where they do, I've been as far as adjustment jumps way past the point that I would have liked. I can can slide back (while keeping the mouse button down), but this is certainly not optimal and is certainly different from CS4.

    OK, just tested this release this on my laptop (a little newer than my workstation) and I do not have the problem. On my computer, I found that if I click on and drag slowly, then the setting does never change at all. I can literally drag on the screen completely and have no effect. If I drag quickly, the parameter begins to change all of a sudden.

    I don't have drivers installed Intellipoint or funky mouse. It doesn't seem to matter which is the parameter or type of source footage. However, I don't experience the problem if I drag a code temporal/display value, as in the Source or program monitor or timeline panel.

    Any thoughts here?

    Colin,

    If I understand you correctly, you're talking about:

    It is indeed a reported bug. There is way to much delay before anything happens and then you're way past where you want to go. Is not in any way related to the video driver. It also happens on the maps of the EMT.

    It will not hurt the file a BR (bug report) again.

  • How to resize slideshow in breakpoints?

    As the slideshow widgets are not yet adapted in Muse CC 2016 it has bee recommended to resize a slideshow in each of the designated stopping points. Does anyone know the recommended procedure to achieve this? My layout starts with a 1200 px width and a standard slideshow (hero image and controls container below thumbnails). I have four breakpoints that reduce the size of phone 320 px.

    There is a main container for the widget slideshow that you see a medium gray box around it. It includes the image of hero, controls, and the thumb container. You can enter this whole container 'box' and move the slide show but you it seems not possible to the size of the container any widget, I can only move around.

    If I click a second time on the image of heroes that you have the four corner of the white adjustment handles that allow you to move and resize the image. BUT... I noticed that when I do this in one of the smaller breakpoints that it will also change, it appears in the original breakpoint (1200 px), and I don't want to do that.

    So, I'm trying to learn the method the best and most direct way to resize the slide show and its parts in different breakpoints, without changing the way it appears in other breakpoints.

    Anyone has experience working with slideshows in breakpoints in the new version of sensitive Muse?

    As you are dealing with non-responsive elements, I recommend the approach I have described here: Re: combination of fixed and fluid page in a site width

    If possible, keep your breakpoints set, and work from the largest to the smallest. Make sure that the width of the slideshow is at least slightly less than the width of breakpoint underneath. You need to resize all containers in each consecutive stop point, however. There isn't a way around that.

    There is a main container for the widget slideshow that you see a medium gray box around it. It includes the image of hero, controls, and the thumb container. You can enter this whole container 'box' and move the slide show but you it seems not possible to the size of the container any widget, I can only move around.

    That is right. The widget always behaved this way. You must resize all containers individually.

    If I click a second time on the image of heroes that you have the four corner of the white adjustment handles that allow you to move and resize the image. BUT... I noticed that when I do this in one of the smaller breakpoints that it will also change, it appears in the original breakpoint (1200 px), and I don't want to do that.

    This is unusual, and should ' t be the case. Can you send me your file of muse to take a peek?

    Regarding your difficulty to grasp the new updates - I get it. I spent so much time trying to understand how the best book everything, and it does not require a change in thinking. Remember that just because something can be sensitive, does not mean that it should be. Sensitive breakpoints have a sense in some scenarios, and they are not in others. Thinking about breakpoints fixed as you ALT layouts and use them in a similar way. Use as little possible breakpoints. I got confused on how to use them by watching educational videos. They show the user an office site, cleaning up the break and a drop point, it. It is more a demonstration of how it works, that a better scenario practice. Just like you, imagine how you want the site to look into the desktop, Tablet and mobile and then build accordingly. Use sparingly responsiveness, where it makes sense. TI my current project, for example, I have three breakpoints: 1250, 800 and 500. My site won't break until it hits the variance of crazy resolution in mobile devices, so I have my minimum page on my BP size more small 320px, which my entire page is built to adapt to the value. In the case that someone is using a low-resolution screen, I have my adapted dimensioning, the value of the text elements, whereas they are attached in the rest of the site. In this way, I know that my site will not break until it hits 320px lower resolution, and then I asked my items just in case the responsiveness. Pepper responsiveness in an emergency plan, rather than building for him initially.

    One last thing: don't forget that you can cut and paste items within a text box if you wish. They will be shuffle in rows like re-sizes of cans.

  • Make a zoom + setting line

    Is it possible to get lines of text adjusted after a zoom before (Firefox for Mobile)?
    I can't do it now, then text lines exceed the width of the screen and it is very difficult to read.

    Hello alejandrorango, I think it's currently not working when you double click on a section of text to zoom.

  • When to call DSDisposeHandle when you have a DLL function acting as a dynamic data DS source extensible?

    Hello

    I have a dynamic function DLL acting as a data source within a LabVIEW application (see attachment) - I use DSNewHandle to dynamically allocate an array 2D handle storage via the Manager memory LV for arrays of arbitrary in application size data. I had assumed that these blocks of memory would be willing (Magic) when appropriate by the LabVIEW built in blocks that are sitting downstream, however, is not the case for treatment and the system LabVIEW memory usage continues to increase until you quit LabVIEW environment (not just if the offending application is stopped or closed).

    So my question is how and where to mop up the table used for buffers in the treatment of the application of the chain and how do I know when the buffers are really exhausted and not be re-used downstream (for instance two 2D paintings are first grouped into a 2D complex table by the re + im at the operator complex labview - is data memory out of this totally different stage of entries or is - a) modified version of the entry tables - if they are totally different and 2D to entry tables are not wired in all other blocks why the operator not have input data banks?)

    Maybe Im going to this topic in the wrong direction have the DLL data source dynamically allocates space data tables? Any advice would be welcome

    Concerning

    Steve

    So instead of doing:

    DLLEXPORT int32_t DataGetFloatDll(... , Array2DFloat ***p_samples_2d_i, ...)
    {
        ...

        if ( p_samples_2d_i )
        { // *p_samples_2d_i can be non NULL, because of performance optimization where LabVIEW will pass in the same handle // that you returned in a previous call from this function, unless some other LabVIEW diagram took ownership of the handle. // Your C code can't really take ownership of the handle, it owns the handle for the duration of the function call and either // has to pass it back or deallocate it (and if you deallocate it you better NULL out the handle before returning from the // function or return a different newly allocated handle. A NULL handle for an array is valid and treated as empty array.
            *p_samples_2d_i = (Array2DFloat **) DSNewHandle( ( sizeof(int32_t) * 2 ) + ( sizeof(float) * channel_count * sample_count ) );

            // Generally you should first try to insert the data into the array before adjusting the size        // the most safe would be to adjust the size after filling in the data if the array gets bigger in respect to the passed in array        // and do the opposite if the adjusted handle happened to get smaller. This is only really important though if your C code can        // bail out of the code path because of error conditions between adjusting the handle size and adjusting the array sizes.        // You should definitely avoid to return from this function with the array dimensions indicating a bigger size than what the        // handle really is allocated for, which can happen if the array was resized to a smaller size and you then return because of errors        // before adjusting the dimension sizes in the array.         ........        (**p_samples_2d_i)->Rows = channel_count;
            (**p_samples_2d_i)->Columns = sample_count;
        }

        ...}

    You should do:

    DLLEXPORT int32_t DataGetFloatDll(... , Array2DFloat ***p_samples_2d_i, ...)
    {
        ...
        MgErr err = NumericArrayResize(fS /* array of singles */, 2 /* number of dims */, (UHandle*)p_samples_2d_i, channel_count * sample_count);
        if (!err)
        { // Fill in the data somehow
           .....

            // Adjust the dimension sizes        (**p_samples_2d_i)->Rows = channel_count;
            (**p_samples_2d_i)->Columns = sample_count;
        }

        ...}

  • Mousetracker does not not on a file Illustrator Comic characters need help?

    Hello guys,.

    Hello

    Hi my name is Darren J. and I created a character in comics from scratch at the end and rolled my silhouette in character animation, but there

    things that do not work as they should, maybe I'm doing something wrong. But hey, step by step.

    The system that I use:

    Well I use the latest version of Creative Cloud Apps (Illustrator CC 2015 Release 2.1 (19.2.19 and of course after effects 13.6.1.6 with))

    Character Animator Preview 3 (x 124) and Photoshop CC 2015 (version 1.2).

    And I'm on a Macbook Pro 15 "with 16 GB of RAM and an SSD 512 GB of the retina. MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, mi 2014) main system. Another system is iMac 2011 21, 5inc with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of HARD drive. I use the iMac only to make now.

    The Mac using OS X YOSEMITE 10.10.5 (14F1509) with the most recent updates.

    IAM not planing to change the Mac OS X to El captain, because on my iMac, there are some questions, and I wanted to avoid that on the Macbook.

    I need some advice and help with my comic character.

    I first sketched some characters on my iPad and they focused on Photoshop. After I their door on illustrator and create an illustrator of them file.

    Sketch for Adobe.pngScreen Shot 2016-01-27 at 17.13.28.png

    Everything is OK. As you can see, the port was OK. I'm happy with the result at the moment. I'm planing to add some other numbers, but there are a few bugs or something is missing and I wanted to get the first figure to go forward.

    I started to bring the character to the character animator and I named all the Illustrator layers as the model itself.

    Well, it was a challenge to get the figure from work and talk, but I got it.

    Layers.pngScreen Shot 2016-01-28 at 01.59.48.png

    I named the trackers "Right Mousetrack" and "Mousetrack" left and rolls in the left arm and in the section of the right arm of the illustrator file.

    But the tracker does not host character?

    First I thought. Well, I put it in another part of the body section and it should work, but nothing is happening.

    I saved the file again and make another copy but hmm... nothing happens. Tried to put it in any part of the section of the character and nothing happens.

    I don't get moving his hands.

    Secondly, I thought it was a failure with the Mousetrack, so I change the name 'Draggable right' and 'Left Draggable', as you can see in the screenshot above.

    but nothing happens at all.

    The trackers do not work no doubt, or I missed something good.

    I got my talk about the figure and he moves his head and all right, I can change her hair and put the triggers of keyboard works fine, but when I want to follow and move the hands, then it does not.

    Screen Shot 2016-01-28 at 02.06.14.png

    The mesh of the figure is set to outline because he should get the right mesh to move his hands in all directions.

    Maybe I did something wrong and that's why it does not work. I wanted to put my figure for my tutorials and that is why I need him as an Illustrator file, because it takes not scalable.

    But so far I'm stuck in the place here and not move forward. I am helpless at the moment. I can pass him around the old way in After Effects and moving around him, but it would be easier to get this working in character animation.

    I named the layers as it is supposed to, but I can't drag the hands of my figure. I don't know what to do next.

    What I did wrong?

    Please help me. I hope that this isn't a bug Illustrator or animator of the character.

    Concerning

    Darren

    PS: Sorry for my English but I'm from the Germany.

    First off - this character looks awesome! Work very cool, can't wait to see it in action - please share when you do!

    We are beginning to recommend that users add these handles in animation of character rather than inside Photoshop files or Illustrator - the tool pen / dot solution we have used in the past is a bit tricky, and these applications are not the best at rigging!

    So I remove all the Illustrator files draggable handles and try CH instead. I don't know if you watched the tutorials, but:

    When I run into such problems, I try to put the handles in different layers or groups to see if it helps. So for example, right now, that it seems that the adjustable handles are within the groups of arm - try rather parent group or even a puppet of Darren top-level.

    Hope that helps. If this does not work, can you please send me the file and I'll take a closer look?

  • Using the crop tool to straighten an image twisted?

    In CS6, I have an image that has been analyzed in and which is twisted. I use the crop tool to drag the landmarks of crop around the part of the image that I want to keep and I press the check mark to make the harvest. It crops the image so it does not straighten. In earlier versions of Photoshop it to crop and straighten the image cropping. How to now use the crop tool to straighten a picture?

    Thank you.

    Here's how:

    1. click on the ruler (straighten) button

    2. the cursor changes to a symbol of the culture to a leader

    3. click and drag a line where you want the picture to the right, and then release the mouse button.

    4. image is recovering, the cursor turns into adjustment handles.

    5. making adjustments to the acreage. Press Enter to save the changes.

  • ditch around div tag

    Hello Dreamweavers.

    Ive done a tag div and Ive it centered in the middle of my page. But on the top, there is a gap.

    Ive seen a few articles where it is said to add:

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0;

    Im doing, but I still get this gap on top.

    It's my CSS

    background-color: #00F;

    height: 200px;

    Width: 600px;

    padding: 0px;

    margin: auto;

    I have a margin to Auto in order to focus the box, is this correct?, here I add the 0 padding in order to get rid of the gap.

    You can try adding the following to the top of the CSS
