Text captions - when using variable text is cut at end

I searched at length the answer to this in the forums, but could not. I noticed there are several problems with the formatting of the text in text captions. My problem is that use any font, any font size, or what alignment that I use, the text is cut off when I try to use a System Variable to display the text.

For example, I would use $$cpInfoCompany$ $ to view the name of the company on each slide. However, I get "©" 2011 ABCDEF Corpo rather than "© 2011 ABCDEF Corporation. Is there a limit on the amount of text that can be used when a variable is used to display text in a text caption? Or is this a known bug?

I could just use a master slide, but I rather just type in one place and use the system diplay text variable where and when I need to.

Thanks in advance.

K

No, I don't say that I asked if you changed the maximum number when the variable is inserted:

Here, I've changed the maximum of 49. Be careful, especially when you insert 2 variables in a text caption, sometimes the other Gets a maximum length of 0

  • Captivate 7 text truncated when using variables.

I use 7 Captivate and feels truncated text when I use variables in text captions. I have a text entry area that I assigned to a variable of 'v_name' to. In a text caption, I have the following text: "$$ v_name$ $ to view the text stored in the variable.» I know there is a way to adjust the length of the variable, but I can't seem to find in this version!

Do not type "$$var$ $" in the text of the legend, but Insert button X (near the button symbol) in the role of composition of the properties panel. In the dialog box, you will find a way to increase the length of the inserted variable.

What is the best way to export when using text? Thank you

    Hi Noa,

Is that what you want to do with your movie? If you watch the Clip export options, you will see that we offer several ways to export your video.

There is really no particular setting when your movie Clip contains text.

Let us know what you are trying to accomplish.

    Best,

When using the "typewriter", then put a border of the "text area" around the words, the word "melted" and only can be seen. How to fix? Thank you

I'm afraid, there is no option to this toolbar in Acrobat X quick tools. It of a dynamic toolbar and gets changed based on the selection.

However, you can do it in Acrobat XI.

  • Another one: display interactive\text logoff scripts when using PCOIP

    Hello

In my view, there a few other posts on this topic in the forums. Some remained unanswered, some are a few years old, so I thought I would try again. We have applied GPO logoff script that displays a reminder when using PCOIP session disconnects before that the script has the ability to run visibly. RDP works, but we don't\cant RDP because it serves various limitations. I am aware of a 2011 indicating post is not possible on 4.5, since it is 2014, hoping that progress could have been made about this feature. See you soon!

Fear not, there is no previous version of vs change in this regard. Except a few messages on the forums of communities that you mention, I don't think I've seen something official - you raise it using the feature request form or with a sales representative? Relying on interactive logoff scripts is usually not a good design for something like VDI - even if it were visible, if the customer is dislocated for any other reason, you would not be able to return to the session.

    Hi Doug MacDonald.

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. What web browser are you using to print Web pages?

If you use Internet explorer, then change the margin settings to the title of the page setup in the file menu and check if that helps.

See the articles below and check if it helps.

  • Impossible to use variables shared when deploying an exe file

I tried to use variables shared for some time. I have been all over the forums and still have had no luck. I can get these VI to work until I have install on another PC while they do any work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I forced libraries to deploy, but they still do not work on the machine, that I install the exe file. I don't think that libraries are being installed. I can't see in the Distributed System Manager. I can see libraries on other machines, but not on the one that I have.

Have you included libraries in section always included the source files. You did, and then change the destination of the library of media files on the Source code file settings tab?

In the code are you using the correct path when calling the libraries deployment method. Current path of the VI should be stripped twice and have "data\name.lvlib" built in the end.

  • Formatting issues of legend when inserting variables

    Hello

I came across a bug similar to what is being talked about in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3893978

When I insert a variable into a legend (with police: Tahoma, size: 12, style: "BOLD"), it changes the formatting. The text is larger, in a different location and is a different font.

Does anyone know if occurred since this thread? I'm trying to match the font of a Web site, so unfortunately the suggested solution style it (put a variable empty in each caption so they match) will not work for me.

    Thank you!

    ___

More info on exactly what I do:

The project is a simulation that is registration of the user on a Web site. I have an input box of text with an associated variable (username). On the blades, there is a header on the Web page that says:

    Logged in as: Student 1

I want to replace the user name that was registered Student (1) by simply change the background in photoshop to clear it and add a text caption that has the username variable. For now, however, the formatting is so that the variable seems strange; I can't match the original text on the Web site.

It was worse in CP5 in CP5.5, and it depends on the font you use. But it is "by design", the text is rendered differently when the variables are inserted. It's very embarrassing, you can enter a report, do not know if this will help however. Complained a lot about this, also on the fact that you cannot use the actual styles (sometimes they are changed to a completely different font, even the wheelbase to serif).

I am able to run the application and when I debug in the createScene is running, but I don't see any visible video and I don't get any errors. Also I tried to text output and which was not visible either. I was able to get the video I want to incorporate to display in a pure implementation of JavaFX, so I know that's not encoding or something. Can I please someone to look at the following code and give me some suggestions. I use Netbeans as IDE if it is important. Thank you!

  • BI Publisher settings when using the OBIEE analysis as the data set

    Hello world

I've created a BEEP report with an existing OBIEE analysis as all data in the data model. I'm stuck with parameters.

In modeling data for BEEP Guide, section 2.8.1 the following text is displayed: "settings and the list of values are inherited from the analysis of BI and they display running." BI analysis must have default values defined for the filter variables. »

When he says of parameters and LOV is inherited from the analysis of BI, what is he referring to OBIEE analysis? And when he says "'filter variables" what is it referring to the analysis of OBIEE? " What should I do on the side of the OBIEE analysis, to activate the settings side BEEP report...?

    Thank you

I managed to get this working. The documentation is very vague. The BEEP report gets the parameters 'default' and LOV based on the presentation and the column variable in OBIEE analysis he uses as a data set. You can't see these variables as parameters on the BEEP report presentation.

If you need to use variables of presentation on OBIEE analysis, with a default value. Then create the report BEEP with this analysis, as the set of data. Don't create settings on the side TONE. The BEEP report on a dashboard and there you go, the BEEP report data will be filtered according to the value of the variable of presentation.

  • 2014 CC Photoshop crashes for almost 15 seconds, when using layer > Group layers or Layers Palette > layers command group.

Photoshop crashes for almost 15 seconds, when using layer > Group layers or Layers Palette > layers command group. NOT on creating new group and creation of layers and n-drag-drop group manually in the Palette layers. Got a file of user interface design with close to 800 layers and lots of groups. This doesn't happen in smaller files. Using OS X Mavericks, Photoshop, CC 2014.2.2, mi 2014 15-inch Macbook Pro Retina.

I understand that the solution would be just to cut the file into smaller files and design each display of the user interface in a separate but file which would be painful. And it doesn't seem to be a very difficult task to just the layers in group.

OK, the first thing to try: disable the generator in the preferences of hiking (under Plug-Ins, at the top).

On my system, generator never took and a week to read information on all layers and is particularly slow on text layers.

  • Using variables & shares advanced Captivate 6

    Hello

I'm working on a project with only 2 slides. The second slide has a folder with 8 tabs. When the user clicks on the tab for information tab appears and a check mark appears on the tab to let them know the tab has been seen.

    Capture1.PNG

I used variables and standard actions to make the correct text and completion work coches (nothing wrong with that)

    Capture2.PNGCapture3.PNG

After that the user has seen all the tabs I didn't it must seem strange that nothing else happens or confuse the rest of the course (British Colombia, there is no quiz or interaction - I just need them to read the info). I created a conditional action to 'Thank you for taking this course' appears and a play button for learners to understand the course is completed.

    Capture4.PNG

The conditional action indicates whether each variable is equal to 1 (because variables start at 0 and change in 1 click on) it shows the message of thanks and the BACK button (I disabled the buttons of visibility on them) and condtional action added to the slide itself.

    Capture5.PNG

I don't know why it does not work! I even displays the variables on the screen to ensure that they evolve all at 1 when you click on and they are, but the text button and replay thanks are not displayed. What I am doing wrong? I'm captivate in version 6.0.1.240.

    Thank you

That was my thought as well. Because you appear not to leave the slide until all tabs have clicked, it would only seem to be click events available to trigger you actions.

If I had to create this interaction, I would have used Actions conditional Advanced executed by clicking on each tab and not just the Standard Actions. The first part of the CAA would be to show the relevant tab and hide all others, and then the next part of the CAA would be to check if all variables have been set to 1.

  • .chm TOC using variables - print SSL does not recognize anything after the variable

Here's something interesting that I came across today. I think that maybe it's a bug in RH 10.

I create .chm TOCs using variables. For entries of table of contents of page, a content before the variable in the table of contents entry converts to the table of contents printed without problem. But any content after the variable is ignored. It's only a problem with the pages in the table of contents. Books are very good.

    For example:

    Book TOC:

    "Clinic - {variable} {variable}.

This translates very well to the table of contents printed in printed documentation SSL.

    Table of Contents Page:

    "Clinic - {variable} {variable}.

Aside from the link in the table of contents page, the code for the TOC book and page table of contents is the same. But, for some reason, anything after the * first * variable in the page table of contents is ignored in the table of contents printed for printed documentation SSL. It doesn't matter if it's another right or variable text.

    printtoc_variablesbug.jpg

In the image above, both the "clinic - display the list of participants in the" book of the TOC and TOC page on the left contains two variables:

    "Clinic - {variable} {variable}.

On the right page "Clinic - Participant list", the variable "screen" is ignored and deleted page table of contents only when the layout of the chapter is created for printing SSL. HR will remove anything after the first variable in the table of contents page, whether it's a text variable or right. HR does not remove the antything of a book TOC when the presentation of the chapter is created for printing (visible in the picture above).

Post edited by: eeddings - added image to visually show the bug.

When you generate print books will go in the printed document.

Pages in the table of contents of the document are not based on what is in the table of contents above, but on the topic title.

Add the variable there and it works.

  • Distortions of the screen when using Firefox on Android

Hi, a recurring problem - when using Firefox on my Android Web site, are often distorted. If I try to zoom before to increase the size of police or image during playback, the screen breaks and distorts, with different sections of text and images disappear (black sections of the screen appear) or overlapping, often in a different font sizes. The Web site displayed on the screen as "jumps around." The same thing happens if I try to select text for copy - it is impossible to select all or selection is distorted. I have not had this problem before and noticed only recently. Almost impossible to use the browser now! What is the result of an automatic update of the software? Help, please! Thank you.

Please try to update to Firefox 38.
