Text size problem

I changed the size of the text... I randomly chose a size and then had to shut down to see how it would be on screen
Well... It's too big... so now when I go back to change the size... page is too big to go down to 'apply' 'ok'... so cannot click on it
Have tried to change the resolution to make the smaller stuff maybe?... but the same thing... page at large to scroll down to click "apply" "ok."
Have removed the bottom bar of the screen to give more room... but not enough
Tried to restore but has not changed the text size on reboot
Any suggestions?
The pointer is about 3/4 inches of fat!
Same still gmail text size
As you can tell... I am VERY UN 'tech '.
Yo thanks for your time

  • Box text size problem

I blow a single letter as part of a logo on its own layer within the project. The letter then fits the logo, but because I had to blow up if large, the box with the flashing to type text line is huge and extends well below the project. When the prjoect is finished and I import all in Flash and convert it into clickable symbol, the symbol, but also a massive party under the symbol become clickable, because this huge size of the text box is included in the project and the symbol. It is difficult to explain, but open a .ai and make a text box and expand a letter like 250 and you'll see what I mean.

How can I make the smaller text box without making the text smaller? Any type of free transform or selection resizing affects the size of the letter as well.

    Thanks for the help.

  • I want to restore the size of normal printing for everything on my computer. I tried using the page (text size) and it did nothing, can you help me?

    text size problem

I'm not sure what means 'normal' - I assume that means you had recently but has changed.  Do a system restore to a point at the time the text was the right size and format you want - BEFORE it changed to what you don't want.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days worth of restore points.  If this does not work at first, try a previous restore point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software or updates installed between now and the point of restoration - but you can make updates through Windows Update.

As an alternative, you can go to start / Control Panel / customization / display settings / and set the resolution to a different setting.  Click on apply, and it will ask you if you really want to change based on what you see now.  Click on your answer and either output or try another setting.  It is a more difficult way to do a system restore because it is difficult to choose the same size you had before.

  • Call method text size prevents string value changes?

I call the 'Text size' method with an Invoke node on a control to the string every time that a keypress event is marked.

Curiously, the chain control change never the size. Have I misunderstood the purpose of 'Text size' method?

Second, if I turn off "Update as you type" attribute, the keypress event is always recorded by the case of the event, but the contents of the string is always returned to the original contents of the string - it becomes impossible to update! Why is this behavior occurs?

Attached is my demo vi. If you run this and try to change the content, you will see that the string control does not resize the text.

Disable the "Update as you type" attribute, and it becomes crazy!

Any suggestions on how to get this to resize the content string while the user types?

OK, with a lot more research, I found a Subvi from NOR (password protected - grrrr) called Get text Rect

(Or almost), it returns the rectangle enclosing correct for a single line format of text fonts. With a slight correction, this works well for the large font size that I use.

    Solution set.

Thanks to anyone who is spending time trying to solve this problem for me!

  • Text size in IE8 showing Microsaft update is very low

Win XP Pro (up to date)

    IE8

The size of the text in the two central frames of the MS Update home page is too small to read. If I use the wheel to zoom in and out, the text in the upper and lower frames grows and shrinks legibley as expected, but the size of the text in the Central frames is the same small size.

Zoom works fine on my laptop XP Home Edition. All four images zoom together as planned.

    Hello

What of the % sign to the status bar? You say 120%?

If so, click on it and change it back.

  • Despite the appropriate settings, the text size is too small...

Please note: I don't need to be told to: - go into settings and increase the size of text - use drive Mode

Here is the standard answers given here Support for Mozilla, and they are not relevant in many cases.

As have been pointed out by many other FireFox for Android users, Chrome makes page text very well. If you use Chrome settings to increase or decrease the text size, these adjustments affect the size of text on web pages.

Not so much in FireFox for Android.

Using the feature in FireFox settings via: settings > accessibility > text size and by selecting one of the 5 text sizes, this selection has absolutely no effect on the size of any text on a Web page I've seen.

This was reported more/more still by FireFox users, and they are either ignored, said using the settings or told to use drive Mode. That's all. FireFox is a great browser - thank you for that. But the inability to change the size of text on a page is completely unacceptable! Compounded by said to do the basic things which do not solve the problem.

FireFox is able to increase the size of the text (or lower if necessary)? If so, how?

    virtualsattva: it's PERFECT!

I read to a change of topic: config, but I've generally seen warnings about pages don't return does not correctly if you change this value.

I see no such problems. Of course, there is text that wraps now in titles for example, b/c the text string is longer because of the increase in size. No worries here. It's exactly what we've come to expect of Chrome.

    **Former Chrome Users**

Simply set the value of reference above to 4.0 or 4.25 and pages will make with excellent readability - exactly as they do in Chrome.

    Fixed. Thank you!!

  • Need help on why the text size continues to change as I'm typing or research. Need help on why the page disappears when I try to send email or when I try to view a page online.

Can someone tell me how to fix these issues?  When I type a message by e-mail or through a Web site, I get the microscope & then the text size change automatically if small I can't read.  The other problem I have is that I continue to in getting kicked off the e-mail page or Web page without hitting any other buttons.  When I type an email, and more text size change, I get a message box asking me if I want to leave the page, click ok or if I want to stay on the page, click Cancel.  I always click Cancel, but get kicked off the e-mail page anyway and have to start over.  This happened to someone?   I asked Acer (my brand of windows 7 computer) for help, but they say the warranty that I treat these & have to pay.  I asked Microsoft to help on this, but I have to pay.  I got this Acer Aspire 7540 for about a month.  Cannot get help anywhere.  Anyone know what to do or where I can ask for help?

    Hi Phylomel,

-Since when are you facing this problem?

-Do you have yo umake any changes made to your computer before this problem started?

-This only happens when you access email through Internet Explorer?

-This happens on all the websites or any websites?

However, you can try to optimize the settings of Internet Explorer on your computer and check if that helps you solve the problem. Access the link below and follow the steps to optimize Internet explorer.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213

Also, you can check if the CTRL key on the keyboard is sturck and if the program is based on shortcut keys.

You try to use the on-screen keyboard and check if the problem persists.

Steps to start the on-screen keyboard on:

    1. click on start.

    2. open the control panel (Classic view).

    3. click on ease of access Center.

    4. click on on-screen keyboard

You can also try starting an online virus scan to check if your computer is infected and remove infected items and check if it helps you to solve the problem. Go to the link below to run an online virus scan.

  • Windows 7 default text size medium 125%. How can I change?

I have internet search and found most users windows 7 would have found the default text size is smaller 100%, but my average is 125%

the problem now is if I put it to the smallest, some application always takes the value of 125% as it is the "default".

If you go to control panel-> display control-> change the size of text. you will see that the default value is initially smaller: more small - 100% (default value)

http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7desktop/thread/a53032c5-764b-4cd7-8967-9bb87b9bb157 this thread has the same problem as mine, but the answer has not addressed the problem.

Can I get help? It is very fustrating that I use 125% just for some applications to work correctly.

    Thank you

    Hello destine,

It seems that one of the options in the colors of your advanced windows has been changed. You may need to experiment a bit to find out exactly who should be changed in order to solve the problem you are having, but experimenting a bit, it seems that maybe that's the Box of Message.

To change the font of the Message box:

    • Right click on the desktop
    • Click personalization
    • Click the window color
    • Click on advanced appearance settings
For element, use the drop-down arrow menu > select Message box

Under police > change the size to 9 > click OK

    Hope this helps

  • How can I LOCK my text size chosen because he seems to have a mind of your own

I am on Windows 7 and does not reach my chosen text size,

    Hello Alan,.

There are 2 different things. First, you must set your display to 125% resolution. To do this, go to control panel, click display and when that opens a new window, click on the left menu, "set text size custom (PPP). That should save your custom DPI setting @ 125% (or whatever you set it to).

The second parameter is more problematic and is something that you must define in each application which can be a problem for you. I have a similar problem with my desktop computer and need to set my monitor HD @ 150% to be able to clearly see the text. The problem is that many applications are not "DPI aware", which means that they don't adjust automatically for screens high definition.

To work around this problem, right click on an icon on the desktop and select Properties. When this window opens, select the Compatibility tab in the top row.  Scroll the list of the boxes until the last of them and mark, 'turn off the staggering high DPI settings display', then click on apply, OK and OK.

Try and let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

  • Is there a way to increase the text size in Windows 8 applications?

Is there a way to increase the text size in Windows 8 applications?

I find the way to text size too small in most news reader applications.  Looks like you should be able to increase or decrease the text size the same thing you do in a browser using CTRL + or CTRL-, or your mouse wheel.

You can increase the size of the text on the desktop, but it doesn't have any effect on the subway, or whatever you call it today.

Probably, there should be a setting to increase the size of the text under settings of PC!

IMO, I would probably find a lot of people out there wouldn't buy a W8 Tablet since the text is to small to read!  This has fixed as soon as POSSIBLE!

Edit: I noticed that a lot of Apps is updated to help with this problem.  Unfortunately not on the main screen of App, if you select an item to read the improvement will become visible or selectable.

    Hello

On the start screen simply type the word "police" and select the filter settings on the right.  You should see an option 'Make text and other items more or less '.  Click on that and adjust the text or at the desired size.

    -Curt

These instructions don't change the DPI of the screen ratio when it is in the classic user of Windows interface. The new interface Windows username however does not change when this setting is changed (which, in itself, is rather unfortunate).

The only way to change the font size of Windows apps Store is as follows:

    1. click on the Start button to get the new user of Windows interface

2 start typing 'police' (without the quotes)

    3. click on "settings".

    4. click on "enlarge everything on your screen; This opens the settings of PC (which is different from the classic Configuration screen)

    5. set "Enlarge everything on your screen" on it.

Personally, I still find it too small for a lot of apps, but it's a small improvement on the default settings.

    Hi marym58314164,

You have to go into Photoshop preferences > Interface and change the UI scaling to 100%, then restart Photoshop

I think it would solve the problem.

  • Why the UI-text size is tiny in InDesign CC 2014?

I just upgraded to 2014 InDesign version 10.0.0.70 x 64, and the user interface text is tiny. The text of the menu (i.e. When you click on 'Options' "undo, redo, cut, copy, paste, etc.") is of normal size, but the panels of tools and all the rest is tiny.

My Windows text size (7) is already set to 150%.

    Any suggestions?

That's the problem. Set it back to 124% or less.
