Box text size problem
I blow a single letter as part of a logo on its own layer within the project. The letter then fits the logo, but because I had to blow up if large, the box with the flashing to type text line is huge and extends well below the project. When the prjoect is finished and I import all in Flash and convert it into clickable symbol, the symbol, but also a massive party under the symbol become clickable, because this huge size of the text box is included in the project and the symbol. It is difficult to explain, but open a .ai and make a text box and expand a letter like 250 and you'll see what I mean.
How can I make the smaller text box without making the text smaller? Any type of free transform or selection resizing affects the size of the letter as well.
Thanks for the help.
Should the text stay editable? Otherwise, just a glimpse of it (see menu 'Text')

I want position and resize an existing text box with digital inputs without deformation of the police. Is this possible?
When I try to resize the text box and change the text later it always distorts the text.
Because you use transform, which distorts what you're turning. If you want to move and resize the actual text box, without affecting the type inside, use the text tool to move and change the size of text box. If you really want to transform the text also, then use the transformation tool, as you do.

text size problem
I'm not sure what means 'normal' - I assume that means you had recently but has changed. Do a system restore to a point at the time the text was the right size and format you want - BEFORE it changed to what you don't want. Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days worth of restore points. If this does not work at first, try a previous restore point or two. NOTE: You will need to re - install any software or updates installed between now and the point of restoration - but you can make updates through Windows Update.
As an alternative, you can go to start / Control Panel / customization / display settings / and set the resolution to a different setting. Click on apply, and it will ask you if you really want to change based on what you see now. Click on your answer and either output or try another setting. It is a more difficult way to do a system restore because it is difficult to choose the same size you had before.
Good luck and I hope this helps. Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.

Can someone tell me how to fix these issues? When I type a message by e-mail or through a Web site, I get the microscope & then the text size change automatically if small I can't read. The other problem I have is that I continue to in getting kicked off the e-mail page or Web page without hitting any other buttons. When I type an email, and more text size change, I get a message box asking me if I want to leave the page, click ok or if I want to stay on the page, click Cancel. I always click Cancel, but get kicked off the e-mail page anyway and have to start over. This happened to someone? I asked Acer (my brand of windows 7 computer) for help, but they say the warranty that I treat these & have to pay. I asked Microsoft to help on this, but I have to pay. I got this Acer Aspire 7540 for about a month. Cannot get help anywhere. Anyone know what to do or where I can ask for help?
Hi Phylomel,
-Since when are you facing this problem?
-Do you have yo umake any changes made to your computer before this problem started?
-This only happens when you access email through Internet Explorer?
-This happens on all the websites or any websites?
However, you can try to optimize the settings of Internet Explorer on your computer and check if that helps you solve the problem. Access the link below and follow the steps to optimize Internet explorer.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213
Also, you can check if the CTRL key on the keyboard is sturck and if the program is based on shortcut keys.
You try to use the on-screen keyboard and check if the problem persists.
Steps to start the on-screen keyboard on:
1. click on start.
2. open the control panel (Classic view).
3. click on ease of access Center.
4. click on on-screen keyboard
You can also try starting an online virus scan to check if your computer is infected and remove infected items and check if it helps you to solve the problem. Go to the link below to run an online virus scan.
I hope this helps. Let us know the result.
Thank you and best regards,

Windows 7 default text size medium 125%. How can I change?
I have internet search and found most users windows 7 would have found the default text size is smaller 100%, but my average is 125%
the problem now is if I put it to the smallest, some application always takes the value of 125% as it is the "default".
If you go to control panel-> display control-> change the size of text. you will see that the default value is initially smaller: more small - 100% (default value)
http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7desktop/thread/a53032c5-764b-4cd7-8967-9bb87b9bb157 this thread has the same problem as mine, but the answer has not addressed the problem.
Can I get help? It is very fustrating that I use 125% just for some applications to work correctly.
Thank you

Hello destine,
It seems that one of the options in the colors of your advanced windows has been changed. You may need to experiment a bit to find out exactly who should be changed in order to solve the problem you are having, but experimenting a bit, it seems that maybe that's the Box of Message.
To change the font of the Message box:
- Right click on the desktop
- Click personalization
- Click the window color
- Click on advanced appearance settings
For element, use the drop-down arrow menu > select Message boxUnder police > change the size to 9 > click OK
Hope this helpsChris.H

How can I LOCK my text size chosen because he seems to have a mind of your own
I am on Windows 7 and does not reach my chosen text size,
Hello Alan,.
There are 2 different things. First, you must set your display to 125% resolution. To do this, go to control panel, click display and when that opens a new window, click on the left menu, "set text size custom (PPP). That should save your custom DPI setting @ 125% (or whatever you set it to).
The second parameter is more problematic and is something that you must define in each application which can be a problem for you. I have a similar problem with my desktop computer and need to set my monitor HD @ 150% to be able to clearly see the text. The problem is that many applications are not "DPI aware", which means that they don't adjust automatically for screens high definition.
To work around this problem, right click on an icon on the desktop and select Properties. When this window opens, select the Compatibility tab in the top row. Scroll the list of the boxes until the last of them and mark, 'turn off the staggering high DPI settings display', then click on apply, OK and OK.
Try and let me know how you fare.
Kind regards

The Web site text size is displayed differently on some browsers
Hi all
It's my first time here posting, any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have a little trouble with the text content on my site in some browsers. For the most part, I tested on most of the browsers are supported what I've built very well. So far, I have tested desktop or laptop in Safari, Firefox, Opera, IE and Google Chrome. All seem to display my site very well. I also tested this on an iPad using Safari and Samsung Galaxy Tab in the two browsers available, and this again display the site very well.
The problem arises when I just view it on an iPhone in Safari. Part of the text is displayed correctly it should do, but most of the sentence below size changes and distorts the central section of the site. It's very frustrating. I'm sure there must be something that that miss me, but I have looked up a down and you don't see anything that seems out of place. I've attached screenshots below.
Help!
Above is how the site displayed in Safari, Firefox, Opera, IE and Google Chrome on a desktop, laptop or tablet. This is how it should be and I'm happy with that.
Above is how the site displayed in Safari on an iPhone. You can see how the text in the gray box above is displayed correctly, but the rest of the sentence below size changes causing in the middle of the site to distort and lose its shape.
To view the full site here is the link www.rebelshockey.co.uk/Eagles_home.html.
Thanks in advance.
Andy
As for your original question, iPhones like resize the text if they think that he would be too small in the available space. It is sometimes quite random looking.
Try adding to your
CSS...{body
-webkit-text-size-adjust: none;
}
And see if that helps at all.
EDIT: Another option is - webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;

Text rendering problem ADE 2.0
I am using ADE 1.7 with EPUB on my PC. Yesterday I updated to 2.0, but it seems to have some sort of a text display problem.
As you can see, the text has a kind of a resolution problem.
When I adjust the size of the window, the text seems to change with him too, change it with each pixel pixel-clutter I move border group. Justified text or an alignment, it is not serious, nor the size of the font, I choose in ADE (best appearance larger sizes of fonts, but they still have that problem). Cover photos are so pixelated.
It seems that if it resizes each line or something.
I have an ATI HD5670 video card, with the most recent driver if that helps. The desktop resolution is set to 1440 x 900.
Any tips? What could be the problem?
Geeeeez, I thought about it.
The text looks pixelated when sidebar is open on the left (for example, the table of contents). When I close it and that the text occupies the entire window, then it is legible and perfect. I didn't even try to close, because in 1.7.2 I opened it all the time and accustomed to it.
Then when I open the sidebar, it is not just to reduce size of the text box as he should, but trying to resize instead, then the text gets pixelated and crushed. At least that's my theory.
I hope that this bug is corrected in the future.

TEXT DISPLAY PROBLEM IN CAMERA RAW
Hello
I have a text display problem in Camera Raw. Where there are labels of boxes that need to be checked, for example in the preferences or settings to be pasted to another file, the text is unreadable print. What happens is that he takes to the bottom of half of the top line and half top of the bottom line, rather than by extending the line if the text is only on a single line. It is a problem for me to see all the options. It's the same on all the text of the label within the program.
I have attached a few screenshots to illustrate the problem.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much
CarlThe problem is not with the size of the screen, but with the "pixel density" (never forget, that the density of physical pixels of the monitor is indicated). Right-click on the desktop and select Properties (or go to control panel and select display). On the Control Panel, select Advanced; the general Panel contains the DPI setting. I guess that the parameter is now greater than 96 dpi.
I created a thread on this problem, which must have been at least two years ago. The answer was, as 1. Adobe will solve the problem, 2. It is a problem only with the classic Windows style (under the appearance tab). I have not tested with the XP style, because I prefer the classic style; I'm cursed and live with this shit (my setting is 120dpi).
BTW, this may be much worse than half-readable labels: buttons, fields, text can disappear completely (you may even not notice, that there should be other buttons and the Panel options)...

I use a tile list component and a component areatext. When I click on the graph in the list a description of the image appears in the text box. No problems so far. However, I want display a large image of the chart at the same time as the text. Now, I have a problem because I don't know what to do. I will attach a chart so you can see how they appear. I'll attach the file .swf also. You can see in the middle two areas (where the green square) is where I want the graphic to appear. I tried different things, but since I don't really know how to write the script I don't know what to do.
Here is the script
majorworksthumb_tl.addEventListener (Event.CHANGE, majorworksthumbClicked)
function majorworksthumbClicked(event:Event):void {}
majorwork_ta. Text = event.target.selectedItem.data;
majorworks_mc. MovieClip = event.target.selectedItem.MovieClip;
}majorworksthumb_tl. AddItem ({label: "BISON COOP HAND", source: "majorworksthumb/BisonCoopMain.jpg", data: "BISON COOP HAND \n\nBison Coop of new Rockford - (Exact location, size, made of what?)". ""});
Thank you
Colleen
Change this:
myTileList.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,itemClicked); function itemClicked(e:Event):void { //myText myText.text = myTileList.selectedItem.data; //myMC var i =new Loader(); i.load(new URLRequest(myTileList.selectedItem.source)); myMC.addChild(i); }
To do this:
var i =new Loader(); myTileList.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,itemClicked); function itemClicked(e:Event):void { //myText myText.text = myTileList.selectedItem.data; //myMC i.load(new URLRequest(myTileList.selectedItem.source)); myMC.addChild(i); }

Call method text size prevents string value changes?
I call the 'Text size' method with an Invoke node on a control to the string every time that a keypress event is marked.
Curiously, the chain control change never the size. Have I misunderstood the purpose of 'Text size' method?
Second, if I turn off "Update as you type" attribute, the keypress event is always recorded by the case of the event, but the contents of the string is always returned to the original contents of the string - it becomes impossible to update! Why is this behavior occurs?
Attached is my demo vi. If you run this and try to change the content, you will see that the string control does not resize the text.
Disable the "Update as you type" attribute, and it becomes crazy!
Any suggestions on how to get this to resize the content string while the user types?
OK, with a lot more research, I found a Subvi from NOR (password protected - grrrr) called Get text Rect
(Or almost), it returns the rectangle enclosing correct for a single line format of text fonts. With a slight correction, this works well for the large font size that I use.
Solution set.
Thanks to anyone who is spending time trying to solve this problem for me!

Text size in compiled exe - required tutorial files changes!
Hello, can someone explain how to manage the text sizes in control and list boxes to make them predictable in the final application?
I just got very frustrated when an exe compiled labview which works very well on a test PC for a few days has completely changed the size of most of the elements of text when I moved it to the first production machine!
It started with my upgrade of the development system of LV2015 to LV2015sp1 and at the same time change for a new laptop computer. All the text was larger in the front panels.
I got little support help to understand this, but many had to be corrected manually. I learned not to use the windows 7 Zoom to 125% or 150% for example.
Exe, I built and run on the development computer looked like enough to when it is run within the development system.
But when I installed the software on a PC to test all the text was smaller... I had to move all the controls again and enlarge the text to make it visible.
And now finally when I took the exe file of work of the test system for the production system the text was bigger still...
There is clearly something I don't understand here, I hope someone can enlighten me! I mostly let the police stay on "make application 15 p" or whatever the standard configuration is, simply by changing the size if necessary.
Versions
All systems are Windows 7 Swedish, all running in 64-bit windows.
LabVIEW is 32-bit 2015sp1 (tried on the old system of dev with 2015 32 bit - the same result)
Runtime is LV2015f1 and f3 as I have found no 2015SP1 TERM.
Set current font to something fixed (standard windows fonts 7 is Segoe UI, in XP it was arial). Do not use any system, dialog, fonts of the application on the façade. Most controls use the application fonts. So Ctrl + A-> set fixed font. The internal components of the controls (chart axis fonts, type defs) sometimes need to be adjusted manually.
Check vi has no checkmarks on properties vi-> window size page (keep the proportions for different display resolutions, on the scale as window resizes).
