  I use writing in OBIEE 10. I know, we can define the size of the input area in ways that no one will be able to add more text than allowed. But even if I am to welcome 2000 characters the text box is displayed as a single line entry box.
  Is it possible to change the size of the text area displayed in particular to allow more than a single line?

  You will need somehow to hack the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) OBI when writeback (see table) is present instead of a HTML text box item, display a TEXTAREA HTML element. Currently, there is no other way to achieve this.

  Hello, my name is Zac.  I spent a lot of time trying to figure this one out for myself, but I couldn't find what I needed.  A few threads looked promising, but I realized that they only apply to the LiveCycle.  Many other threads link to discussion 2006 Thom Parker on this subject, but it is very advanced and I feel that what I need is not as complex as the solution he proposes.  I've never used Adobe Acrobat until a few weeks ago, but with the help of Bernd Alheit and George Johnson I managed to create a document with fly-out help windows and scrolling lists and radio buttons which dictate the choice.  It's great and it works.  The last thing I have to do is to create a text box (or some kind of box) which will display a pre-written block of text based on the user choice in another area (a drop-down list box).  Like this:

  

  I wish, it is also easy to create because it draw a picture of him!  If the user selects "Algebra 1", for example, a specific description display below.  There are a lot of courses and descriptions, and the descriptions are long enough (as shown).  It is not necessary for the user to make changes to the description - in fact, which would be terrible.  But I would like to be able to copy text from it and paste the text in another area of text on the same page.

• Message text to display in the carousel when no image extracted from the database

  I'm creating a carousel using pictures from a database table. All the fields in the table contains no images. Currently, it displays a cross mark on the image.

  For areas that I want to display text can be 'No Image'. To do this, I put the property 'EmptyText' of the Carousel component. But the text does not appear. Also, I do not wish the crossroads brand to display instead, I want only the text "No Image" look upwards.

  If I understand correctly, emptyText shows as if the entire dataset is empty, not a picture (if any rows in the resultset). It's same with af:table. Maybe I'm wrong, however.

  You can use an 'empty' image: for example to put an image of 'empty' (tailored to your needs, is perhaps 'no image' text or an icon etc.) in your project resources folder. Then, in your application, replace "null" for path to this image and it will be dispalyed instead of the generic "missing image" icon in the browser (Yes the red X is icon generic browser for missing images).

  You can try the following:

  1. close Captivate and save your project

  2. go in the Captivate installation directory [in general is: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x 64]

  3. copy the file "AdobeCaptivate.ini" to your desktop

  4. open this file in the editor and change the value of 'UseWidget7' to 1.

  5. save a copy of this return to its original location

  6 restart Captivate and open your project

  I prefer the box for a pair of radio buttons, called Yes and no, but this does not work, so thought it would be easier to make a checkbox titled Yes. which would default to no.

  Needless to day, I installed the latest version. I even reinstalled using the link in the message, but nothing helped. Whenever I click on the link to go forward, I get the same message. Question: (i) is it my PC/software (Vista), (ii) is the site where I'm trying to submit the form, or (iii) is it the software acrobat reader. Note that I used successfully the last version to fill out and sign forms.

  It is none of them. It's Chrome, which is ignoring Adobe Reader and showing the message.

  Solution: just save the document (with the message) to your desktop. Then open it in Adobe Reader. The 'real' should then display.

  Hi all. I don't know anything about web design, but has tried to build my own Web site. The text seems to be flat to an image? Why is this? How can it be displayed correctly (you can highlight text, etc. in the browser).

  The reason you have chosen a font that is not a "web police" (you chose a police office)

  Muse handles this by flattening the text in an image, and the image seems HORRIBLE unless you do your site 2 x (muse has an option for him)

  So... as you use muse you have an adobe with creative cloud account, this means you typekit.

  Click on the police box (the one that you use to change your policy) and click 'Add web fonts' and then select a voucher and use it

  Note: If you cancel your adobe account these fonts does not work anymore! Use them only if you intend to continue using adobe CC

  Moreover, google 'how to use web fonts"or"google web fonts tutorial"or something in that sense.
