  I'm not able to add text to pictures.  I can click on the text tool and drag to insert a box, but no blinking cursor appears.  If I type my text, for example 'Beka', the layer is given this name, but the text does not appear.  So far I have tried:

  • make the text larger or smaller (to make sure it wasn't just a problem whether at small/large to see)
  • change the color of the text to ensure that it didn't mix with the background

  Any ideas would be appreciated.

  Try to reset the text tool by clicking on the small arrow facing downwards and select Reset Tool.

• Polygonal lasso to 14 elements completely tool not functional. Help!

  I had no problem with the lasso tool polygonal to 13 items for about a month and then there suddenly bad (no selection at all, no matter what I did). I bought 14 items, hoping that the problem has been resolved. The polygonal lasso tool is completely non-functional (no line selection). The other selection tools seem to work correctly. I'm under 64-bit Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1, a processor i7 w / 32 GB of RAM, an Asus PB287Q display 4K, a Samsung S22B420 screen and a Nvidia GeForce 960 GTX graphics card. Help!

  Karine - thanks for the suggestion, but I fear that it does not help. I can make selections in the area outside the image to the right of the screen (of course no pixel is selected). Try to use the polygonal lasso on the image itself acts as if I am off limits (no dotted lines). As the works of regular lasso very well, I suppose there are a simple bug in the software that becomes the mouse coordinates wrong even if I use a simple mouse for drawing. Maybe the screen 4K or 64-bit Windows or two screens is originally something to overflow.

• How can I fix this error? The bookmarks and history system will not functional because one of the files of Firefox is used by another application.

  I tried many solutions being posted in the support forum. I went and deleted my places.sqlite file so that it has created a new profile. I tried to restore my favorites, and nothing happened.
  I went and found out that I had a places.sqlite.corrupt file. As suggested by one of links provided in other articles, I removed the other places.sqlite files and then renamed just corrupt as places.sqlite. I restarted firefox and still nothing.

  Please do not just copy and paste the links to two articles that helped me not yet. I need to know how to solve this problem, because I had a lot of important information in my favorites!

  You should not copy places.sqlite, if you had problems with the history or bookmarks.

  You need to restore from a backup bookmarks JSON in the bookmarkbackups folder has all of your bookmarks.
