  Seprate on the TEXT of Messages with the messages app open (the list of messages displayed), press the BB button and select Options. Then select General Options. It is near the bottom of the first section-'SMS and email Inboxes' change to 'separate '.

  To hide sent Messages... same screen... just above the separation of the boxes.

  Yes, I had similar happen once before. It's a problem of carrier network and nothig you can do. Just a glitch in the network.

  If you select the phone number and press Menu, you may find the command "copy into the address book.

  I know that if you dial this number in the call log, you will have this choice, for numbers not in your address book.

  Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

  See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I accidentally sent a text to most of my contacts, I quickly removed the battery and the sim. Then I replaced the battery on and checked my messages. The message appears with a large X sense not sent but I'm worried as soon as I replace the sim card and turn it on the message will always send, becuse that a lot of the ppl on the list are abroad and willl cost me much that my contract does not cover overseas texts.   Thanks, I tried that now, but unfortunately it did not work. Although I found a solution to this problem by wiping my blackberry which was an inconvenience, but as I regularly back up my blackberry on my computer everything I had to do was transfers back everywhere. However, I would add for those who have a similar problem to really take into account before you do if you do not have your blackberry backup because EVERYTHING is erased and it would probably be a real problem to configure everything again.

  In order to separate the text messages from the Messages folder, you need to have OS 4.2.1 or higher installed on the BlackBerry. You can determine the operating system by going to help > topic.

  Once you have an operating system installed, you can separate text Messages by going to Messages > Options > General Options and set the SMS and email separate inboxes.
