That OSX is recommended?

I have a MacBook Air, mid 2011, running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (G 11, 63). That OSX is recommended? Other features are: 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5;  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3; Intel HD Graphics 3000 384. Thank you

This computer must be running El-Capitan pretty well as long as you do not have a lot of heavy lifting with it.

    An SSD will you recommend?

If you are always online and cloud services are enough for you, you can go with the 128 GB model.

If you use your computer to office or school and you mainly store documents, presentations and spreadsheets on your MacBook and some photos, 256 GB will suffice.

If you are going to use your new MacBook as your main machine and that you plan to store all sorts of things on it (movies, all your photos, documents), I recommend you go for the 512 GB version because it allows you to store all your stuff on your MacBook.

TIP: Check how you use now and whether it be a deciding factor.

  • What upgrade that you would recommend for Web design?

I currently use an LCD monitor from 19 "to 1280 x 1024.  The monitor still works very well and could continue to be used in my configuration.  I'm looking to upgrade my installation of the monitor to expand my real estate when you work with Adobe products.

My budget is $ 300 or less.  Search on NewEgg, I can get up to a monitor 28 "for $299.99 with free shipping.

Most of my work is in the design (GoLive, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator). Would you recommend I get a single large monitor or add a second 19 "monitor to my installation and make a double screen?

What resolution do you think would be sufficient?

As you are looking at an online retailer, you should visit a big local computer store surface to see what resolution is right for you. The first impulse is to shop for the biggest you can afford (and can be powered by your video card). But you must also be careful that the dot pitch is not too dense, you have trouble reading the small print.

  • Sound of wind - what ear canal headphones $30 that you would recommend?

When I go out to walk, there is a hill which is usually windy, so I want to buy headphones ear canal to solve the problem of noise from wind...  Sony headphones that I use currently are the kind that sit in the ear but don't go into the ear canal, and the wind noise is terrible.

    My requirements are:

1 frequency response flat without course focusing on the bass.

    2. comfortable in the ear canal.

3 Symetrical cords for both ears.  I can't stand the asymmetrical cords that put all the weight of the rope on one ear, and loose the cable to the other ear thongs around my face when walking, especially in the wind.

    4. no volume control in the rope that just adds weight to my ears.

    5. No cords running with extension like the Sony MDR-EX75 has.  The EX75 has a Plug and the plug of the cord to connect the power cord runs in a device, cuff and an extension to plug in a device size or Pocket.  The plug and the socket just adds extra cord weight when it is used with a rocket or my size mp3 player.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hi PolloLoco,

I wasn't able to find the Meelec HAVE-M9 on amazon, and since I ordered everything from there, I wanted to buy headphones from amazon also.  I checked head - fi.org by your link and you are right.  It contains a wealth of information on headphones.

For beginners like me, head-fi site has a thread that explains everything you always wanted to know about memo in the ear, also called in-ear monitors (IEM).  I found the EMP of cushions of Air of JVC-HAFX66 through this Web site.  I found also a youtube comment that shows the construction of the HAFX66 and how it seems that inserted in the ear.  Here is the link:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=V8PRU6tI3_k

This video shows the FX66 has symmetrical cords.  An important part of the FX66 is actually a soft material that fits into the outer ear.  It is the function of "air cushion".  The air cushion is supposed to also reduce the noise of the rope in the ear that is going to be great because I will mainly use them all by running the exercise.  From the looks of the FX66 in the ear (in the youtube video), it seems the cushions of air could also help block the wind which is one of my major concerns.

The HAFX66 sells for $19.58 on amazon which is quite cheap to take a chance on them.  The reviews on amazon are very good with the smallest number of negative comments (percentage wise) compared to all the other IEMs I checked on amazon.

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • This power supply that you would recommend for this HP desktop computer?

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/monitors-and-video/how-can-I-get-three-monitor-Setup-with-this-HP-deskt...

I need to get more watts for a better graphics card. What would you recommend and is it complicated? Is this possible with these HPs BTX? What tutorial do you recommend? Thank you.

    Hello

Modular power supplies will allow you to choose the cables which are just required to meet the needs of your particular PC. They will come with a lot of cables, but generally, you won't need all the cables.

Several power supply rail (bus) have advantages and disadvantages. I like a design simple rail because it requires no extra effort when considering electric charge distribution. You still have the size of the size of the power to your specific needs.

All power could potentially cause your PC to burn.

  • What tablet that you would recommend?

I normally photo editing and some graphics design work for the web, but yesterday I went to follow a video tutorial on the use of the new mixture brush in Photoshop CS5, and I think I might just be hung on the conduct of a more sophisticated art work...

    PhotoToPainting.jpg

50 years ago, my mother doesn't have oil painting.  I never quite "got" what she saw in the work with oils until now and of course this modern Photoshop technology makes it a lot less smelly and dirty (and certainly faster)...  I've done the above with my mouse only, in a few hours and now it is clear to me that the pressure and dynamic angle would be useful with this kind of work.

    Then...  I think I need a tablet.

What model tablet you get results with the?

We hear about many problems (e.g., with drivers Wacom, etc.) here on the forum, but we hear fewer successes.

I'm running Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate, Photoshop CS5 Standard and have two monitors.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

    Noel,.

I was happily using a Wacom for over a decade now. I started with an ArtZ II (series) and have added more over the years. I think my last was an Intuos 3. Everyone loves. I had a driver problem, and Wacom had a new driver according to the tablet that was, before they could respond to my e-mail address, what they did. Some RF interference from monitors to double from 21 "to close, and the next upgrade Intuos took care of this. Again, I have my first Wacom and use quite often.

I like the large shelves, but real estate office for them. I also 'draw' with my arm and not my fingers, so do not put the tablet in my Tower, I like the large shelves. I have a 4 x 6, and he often don't get used. It's just me, however. Many like the smaller tablets, but more to shoot with their fingers and also as the tablet in their laps.

Personally, I wouldn't even look at another Tablet, but that's because that appreciate were so very good to me.

In another thread, someone said that Wacom was a case that Corel Painter included. If there never use painter, it is a great program and is different enough to PS, I keep versions updated on all my machines.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - once you go to a Tablet, you will never, ever go back, so just be prepared.

  • Is there another financial program in addition to Quicken for Mac that someone would recommend changing?

I'm looking for a financial program in addition to Quicken. Any suggestions?

I have used Quicken on a Windows computer for years and when I switched to a Mac I went also to iBank. It is very similar in capabilities to Quicken, but it takes a while to get used to the minor changes in the way it does things. At this point I would never return to Quicken. Their support is outstanding - I had a problem with the download of the operations of one of my banks (which turned out be the fault of the Bank) and support people iBank has even offered to get on a conference call with me and the Bank. You can get iBank either from the Mac App Store or on their site, but if you do it on the site there is a free trial option. https://www.iggsoftware.com/iBank/

  • What is a VPN solution that is more stable than IPSEC VPN? What is the latest version of VPN client recommended for Windows 7 & 8 users?

    Hello

I would like to ask a few details & concerns on our existing VPN configuration.

    1. What is the Cisco VPN client recommended for users of Windows 7 and 8? Is there an official documentation for this Cisco? We currently use customer VPN Ciso 5.0.7.

    2. we are running IPSEC VPN with only 1 gateway & only local authentication (No ACS) for our client. Recently, we have some concerns that they are the VPN connection is down. Whereas if I'm the one connected to the VPN, my connection is stable. Is there any point that we must consider up in the network. Is there a better configuration or solution that we could recommend to the customer as SSL VPN?

    3. If you want to use SSL VPN anyconnect secure mobility & we want to implement redundancy on the FW, how will the license work?

    Thank you!

An AnyConnect-based VPN is the replacement recommended for remote IPsec VPN access. (source)

AnyConnect can use SSL or IPsec (IKEv2) for transport.

For an ASA redundant firewalls (running 8.3 (1) or later) any permit required AnyConnect are shared between them. that is, you just buy licenses for a member of the HA pair. (source)

  • Hi, which Antivirusprogramm, Ihr mir recommend be? MIT thank thanks Lorena aus Berlin

Hi antivirus program that could you recommend me?

    Best wishes Lorena in Berlin

    NONE, NONE and NONE.

Macs have built protection in the operating system.

Anti-Virus installed in a Mac can corrupt the OSX and will often slow down Mac caused by poor performance.

If you have installed Windows (bootcamp), then you may need anti-virus software.

    Ciao.

  • Photoshop CS6 and InDesign CS6 are Unresponsive on OSX 10.9.3. Any advice?

Just updated to OSX 10.9.3 - a minor update - and now Photoshop and InDesign are useless. Anyone else with this experience? Troubleshooting suggestions? I tried to delete the file plist in Photoshop on my ~/Library/Preferences and that did not help.

    Sincerely, a customer always disappointed.

Ok. So, it could have been a problem to Apple all along. After rebooting the system many, Photoshop and InDesign have suddenly started working again. I assumed that I would recommend to anyone else has a similar problem.

  • I have an old Mac Mini with a DVI Port that came with a VGA DVI-adapter.  Tonight, my monitor went down.  Brand new monitor works with that?  Can I use an adapter?  If yes should which adapter I?

I have an old Mac Mini with a DVI Port that came with a VGA DVI-adapter.  Tonight, my monitor went down.  Brand new monitor works with that? Any recommendations? Can I use an adapter?  If yes should which adapter I?

You can use any DVI monitor DVI port directly or have any VGA monitor with the power that you adapter. A HDMI monitor might work with an adapter DVI to HDMI in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more fickle.

  • Recommendation of printer for student

What printer you would recommend for my daughter who just got a Mac Book Pro to bring to the College?  She needs something that plugs easily, wireless and is not big.

Epson offers printers that fits these requirements but make sure you only get a model that supports the latest version of Mac OS X. There are thousands of printers, you might get. It is impossible to choose only one to recommend. If you do a search on Google you will find links to sites that make such recommendations.

  • Which runs the latest version of Firefox compatible with a MacBook Pro with 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo OSX 10.5.8?

I keep says my browser needs updating and it does not work on some Web sites. I had bad experiences in the past trying to update to Apple's OS and Firefox due to compatibility issues. I guess I could go to Safari, but I have been using Firefox for many years and prefer to stick to what I know.

Firefox 16.0.2 was the last to work on the old Mac OSX 10.5.x as Firefox 17.0 abreast demanded that OSX 10.6 +.
