Once a report has been filed, is BTW, possible to add information?

Fred,

Do you really need that the extension?

Open topic: topic and mark this internal page. Then change this bookmark, add a keyword like maybe aa. Then aa by typing in the address bar and pressing Enter you will get topic: topic .

Insofar as this extension causing Firefox crash goes, contact the developer using the addy email on the AMO download page.

    Firefox for me has been great for the last two years or so. Then all of a sudden 5 months, whenever I would use Firefox, it would break after 1 minute. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success. Then I fell sick of the problem and then used IE up to now.
    However, I heard about Firefox 4 and thought that maybe that'll fix it. Unfortunately, the same problem has happened! I then heard to be able to start Firefox with the modules disabled to find all the sources of problems, and I have found that the cause if Flash! It is the latest version and has always been, so I don't know what I can do, given that the Flash is important for most of the Web sites of our days!

  • Since I've upgraded to Firefox 35.0, the site of the New York Times causes Firefox run slowly.

    The site of the New York Times is the only site because of Firefox to experience this extreme slowness. Firefox update made no difference. To view the website of times without slow, I had to add the site to the blacklist of the JavaScript to YesScript 2.0, but this, of course, disable many features of JavaScript on the site.

    You can also try to disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player and turn off protected in Flash drive mode

  • After a download, but only when the download tab is opened, Firefox crashes.

    The following message is displayed in a text box "WARNING: the Script does not": "a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." The download window can be opened in a tab in the background and this same error occurs, or Firefox can even be reduced with the download either on top or in the background tab. The error window appears under other software and sits on the desk, often invisible. Sometimes, but not always, all of the computer may hang on it. The problem is particularly bad, when I have Firefox and Photoshop CS2 both race. At the same time that happened, Firefox also began to refuse to play flv (YouTube) in full screen videos. The computer is a Dell Inspiron older with a Pentium M 1600 Mhz processor and a gig of ram. I am running Windows XP Professional with service pack 3.

    This is the Download Manager Tweak. I was getting this problem from 2012-04-14 and have not either of the other two addons that suspected a_grush.

    For me, the problem was * primarily * bypassed with DMT put the download tool in a tab instead of its own window or the sidebar. I even made a permanent app tab. The 'error' message still sometimes arises especially when you go to the downloads tab.

    I have * some * worked around the bug when I experimented with the downloads tool in the sidebar. The false error always does appear quite often in this arrangement, especially if you try to interact with the sidebar, reloading for example a transfer failed, but much less often then when it was in it's own window, which caused the almost constant "errors." That said, the sidebar function is essentially useless anyway, because you can't see the full file name, nor any useful buttons, as the reload-this-download button.

    To get rid of the message 'error' entirely, get rid of it entirely DMT.

    For me, even the few dialogues pop up in the mode tab were too, and I've disinstalled DMT.

  • The add-on works with Firefox 33.0 on a single computer, but on a different computer, Firefox 33.0 indicates that the module is not compatible.

    I have a laptop and a desktop computer. Both are HP and both have recently been updated with the latest version of 8.1 and 33.0 Firefox Windows. On the desktop, Norton Toolbar still works fine. However, on the laptop, Norton Toolbar is disabled and the modules Web page has a message saying that Norton Toolbar is not compatible with Firefox 33.0. Why is this compatible on my desk, but not on my laptop?

    Hello, according to norton toolbar is already compatible with firefox versions, including the current version. Please run the norton utility liveupdate repeatedly & until all components are up-to-date. Additionally, make sure that the toolbar is enabled under firefox > addons > extension thereafter.

  • WhatWhere is the plug-incontainer? happened to the plugin container? He disappeared with the latest version and now firefox crashes several times a day.

    I do not see the plugin container in the task manager of Windows since the last update of Firefox and now FF freezes several times per day (since the previous update, before yesterday). It takes several minutes after that I see this until it thaws, and it is faster the "end task" and restart Firefox to wait. This most often seems to happen when the computer has been idle for a certain time, rather than when I use it.

    Be sure to let the process of plugin-container in the firewall.

  • The formidable 'NoClassDefFoundError', what caused it in this case?

    Hi, thanks for reading this post!

    I have two source files: file to one library, the other main program that accesses a method in the library file.

    The library file is in its own packaging and packed in a JAR file. Here are the two files:
    //RectangleArea.java

    package AreaApplication;

    public final class RectangleArea {
         public static int area(java.awt.Rectangle r) {
              return (r.width * r.height);
         }
    }
    //AreaApp.java

    import java.awt.*;
    import AreaApplication.*;

    public class AreaApp {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              int width = 10;
              int height = 5;

              Rectangle rec = new Rectangle(width, height);
              int area = RectangleArea.area(rec);
              System.out.println("The rectangle's area is: " + area);
         }
    }
    I compile the library like this file:

    javac - d. RectangleArea.java

    I created the JAR file with this command:

    jar area.jar AreaApplication\RectangleArea.class of the cvf

    Update the main program like this:

    javac - cp area.jar AreaApp.java

    Everything is fine up to that point.

    When I ran the program:

    Java - classpath area.jar AreaApp

    He gave me the following error message:
    java -classpath area.jar AreaApp

    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: AreaApp
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: AreaApp
            at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)

            at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
            at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(Unknown Source)
    Could not find the main class: AreaApp.  Program will exit.
    The goal here is to know how to access a class in a JAR file and learn how to compile it and run it with the CLASSPATH option.

    If someone could help me understand what the problem is rather to suggest an alternative such as CLASSPATH environment variable.

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Eric

  • At the start of what Firefox says "could not load XPCOM.

    My desktop is running Windows 8, which recently crashed. Since then, whenever I start, 17.1 Firefox (which is in the folder startuo) does not load, but shows an error window saying (unable to load XPCOM). Rejecting the window then allows me to start Firefox myself. I uninstalled Firefox (but not personal stuff), downloaded a new copy of Firefox 17.1 and re-installed... same thing happens.

    Just to clarify... This only happens only once, after the initial start of the desktop computer. I close the error window and everything is fine after that.

    Bright ideas please?

    What makes XPCOM reference? A missing dll file? can I find this file elsewhere and move it to the correct location?

    Many ways.

    Thanks again for all the responses.
    I now put Firefox in my 8 and restarted Windows startup folder.
    All right, Firefox (or Thunderbird) starts as it is supposed to and there is no sign of an XPCOM related error message!
    So... I have to assume that the problem was (somehow) caused by crash my Windows 8 and that (somehow), remove the Win 8 of Firefox startup folder, restart, then put Firefox in the startup folder, and then restart, has put things back where they used to be. A little strange, but I hope that the above may be useful to someone else with a similar problem in the future.
    Well cordially to all.

  • When you search for tickets on Ticketmaster, Firefox crashes at the time where it is 'research notes' and not progress.

    I'm working on a Mac with Lion. When I go to the website of Ticketmaster and the research to buy tickets, Firefox crashes on the page which States that "the search for tickets." I deleted my cookies, emptied my cache and reset Firefox disable plugins, but nothing has solved the problem. It occurs in SafeMode as well. • I asked before but everyone has discovered what causes vertical lines on the screen?

    I have vertical lines on my screen about 6 or 7 and his worst do. They go to various shades of pink, green and yellow. I asked if anyone knew the answer later when there was only 1, and even if other people had this problem no one knew the answer. Has anyone discovered yet because its getting so irritating, I think I need a new machine. Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Rupture of the membranes that make up the screen is what causes the problem.

    Rupture may be caused by indifferent manufacturing, overzealous pressure while cleaning and old age.

    Sometimes the graphics card can go wrong, but they will generally 'very bad', not just some annoying lines on the screen.

    In the end, you will have t get the screen replaced... :-)

  • Firefox crashes immediately on startup. Won't start in safe mode.

    If this is not for my personal system, but a colleague. Our company force installation of some software updates, and he had a forced installation arrives for a Firefox version 38 ESR. The installation completes successfully, and he was not able to run Firefox since then. We have tried to uninstall/reinstall to level 39 (including by deleting the directory under Program Files (x 86). We also tried to restart after each step, do not restart after each step, update of Firefox did not help either, and "Reset" is not available. We can open in safe mode and disable the Add-ons, but then it crashes again once we restarted in normal mode. This morning we tried to install level 38 instead of 39, but get the same results. Help?

    You can check if Firefox can be started in Safe Mode by holding down the shift/Options button.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

    You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

    You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

    You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.
