  If you are sure that you have chosen the right BIOS for this series of cell to 100%, the problem must be related to a missing Toshiba software that is needed to update the BIOS.

  As mentioned above; the common modules must be installed if you are using Win XP.
  VAP is necessary if you are using Win Vista or Win 7

  But as far as I know that the software Win 7 or Vista came out to this old series Tecra so, possibly, you can update the BIOS only ruin Win XP.

  Yamaha YMF753 - 16-stereo sound blaster pro compatible system (WAVE und MIDI) bits
  It could be removed and replaced without replacing the entire motherboard, but that part can be ordered from the Toshiba service partner.

  I installed the latest version of the Bios on my tecra 8100. My Question is, what is the maximum size of hard drive for these phones? Now I have 13 GB hard drive, but I want to have a bigger. And 512 MB of Ram is the maximum, right (2x256mb)? Can I adjust the size of the videoram?

  You are absolutely right. 512 MB of RAM is max for this pretty portable. If you want to buy more RAM I will suggest you that a PC100 256 MB (PA3051U-1NME). This RAM is tested and working properly with your device.

  Sorry, but video RAM is not possible to extend. And now something on the HARD drive. Unfortunately there is no documents where you can find information like this, but I know very well that here should not be a problem with 30 or 40 GB of HARD drive.

  I can't be able to install the new update of the BIOS (V3.60) on my M5. I've got V3.50 currently, on Windows Vista, but never had any problems before update. He said only: "this computer is not supported.

  AFAIK it's win-BIOS version (windows version) and not a version TRAD (traditional), so the update of the BIOS must be running OS.

  There should be an exe file that must be executed to start the update of the BIOS!

  Please check the instruction again!

  You may need to give your machine a service partner to let them fix this, because it sounds like a serious problem. One of my clients had a similar problem with a non-toshiba machine and it was a corrupted bios. I Don t know if it is in this case a corrupt bios, but it s definitely a problem that must be solved by a technician.

  After using no not my Tecra for some time (about 3 months). He was once again the charger for more than 24 hours and I'm now done with the original problem, I had the last time I used the Tecra, several months ago! The problem is, I think, only related to the tent to use it on battery, as follows:

  You are right. On the support page Toshiba 1.60 update is available for the old Tecra 9100. As I see that one option is available WIN. This means that you must do under Windows running. If the option with the startup disk can be done at all.

  Start your Windows, download update (910078v160.exe) and extract it to the desktop. Close all running applications and run the exe file. That s it!

• How to use the CD of diagnosis of the engineer for Tecra 9100

  I m scared but in my opinion these CDs are not intended for common use of the user and, therefore, you will not find many people who has experience with those CD.
