The box service is not available
I started getting errors:
ColdFusion.Server. ServiceFactory$ ServiceNotAvailableException: the box service is not available. This exception is usually caused by the failure to start service. Check the configuration of your server.
It started happening after installing latest windows updates. I can't even access administrator of CF.
Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition
ColdFusion 9.0.1
Two files have been corrupted:
\lib\neo-cron. XML
\lib\neo-mail. XML
Restored from the backup server, rebooted and it worked.

I don't really understand this problem. I am relatively new on tomcat and coldfusion, but I followed the basic instructions.
Deployment under Tomcat 7.0.68 and Java 1.8.0.77. It's on CentOS 6,7
ColdFusion Setup log, no errors, said 8890 successes. Tomcat on localhost: 8080 seems good. Using the JEE WAR file deployment, 30 days trial, production server. I modified the Web.XML of Tomcat to enable a deployment of 500 MB, the Coldfusion WAR file being almost 300 MB. I spent my file Catalina.out here, because it seems most relevant. And I really appreciate any help someone can offer.

Release ColdFusion 2016 working on tomcat 8.0 and higher. It is not supported in older versions 7.x.

1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
2. you are connected to the Microsoft Account or Local account?
3. are you able to connect to the Windows site using the same Microsoft Account?
4. are you this question while trying to download or trying to install applications?

Friend of me has had the same problem and it could solve the problem by deleting this file:
"C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\R oaming\PeerNetworking\idstore.sst".This file has something to do with the PNRP service and after deletion it will be re-created. Generally, this service should work correctly after deleting this file.

Try the following.
Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers. Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.
When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.
Once this done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.
Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu. Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER. Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.
Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete. Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation. Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices. 'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

Have a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 NLB service two nodes on VMWare. Bothe nodes have two network cards. Internal one dedicated to NETWORK load balancing and the other for the network.
Management console of NLB on a single poster NLB node is in good health. The two nodes are visible and OK.
Management of NLB on the other node shows only its own node - while the other node is missing. An error when updating...
"The RPC server is not available on the specified computer. "otherNode.com" connection error"I disabled the back loop check - it makes no difference.

I think I solved the problem...
As I wrote previously, I disabled the back loop check in the registry on both nodes, create a new DWORD (32 bit) key...
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\DisableLoopbackCheck - with a value of 1Then, I made sure that the link speed & Duplex on all network interfaces are set to a specific value (no Autonegotiation), for example. 1000 Mbps Full Duplex (in my case).
Ideally only the NIC - on each node - connected to the NETWORK load balancing must be configured with hard values.This solved the RPC error in my environment of NLB.
Hope this helps those who have the same symptoms.
