  The operating system is Win 7 x 64.  Video card is a Gigabyte GTS450OC1 with its latest driver running on an Intel DP55KG MB with 8 GB memory Corsair XMS3.  The system was fully functional and stable immediately before the update.  I don't know which of the 18 patches is in conflict with the nvwgf2umx.dll file.  Device Manager reports no hardware problem with any component.

  In my attempts to solve the problem, I run chkdsk f, sfc/scannow (which have reported no problem) and reloaded the video driver (without uninstall first).   Nothing works so far.  I even tried to defragment the master file with Diskeeper 2010 start time Table Defragger (based on another post, I've found), also without success.

  What is the reference for this?

  And could not cancel the record/re-record the dll it error out on an entry point missing or whatever.
  So what for some reason any worked for me is to rename C:\Windows\System32\nvwgf2umx.dll to nvwgf2umx.dll.bak (all other copies of this file are in the folder DriverStore).
  After that, I ran from an administrator command prompt
  net stop uxsms
  net start uxsms
  
  
  And miraculously all started working again.  I'm running a GTX570 with latest drivers nvidia from Scripture.
  Note: You probably shouldn't be move/rename things in System32 unless you are confident and have your data backed up.  It worked for me, but who knows you.

  This error message comes just out of nowhere I do not install anything or make updates when this issue was raised. I tried to restart the computer, but it did not help.

  I checked for viruses, but none came.

  Then, I tried to do system restore, but it could not solve the problem.

  In addition, I used the command line to find the problem and found a few corrupted files, it has been unable to remedy.

  I installed IE10 to Win7 and my Windows Live programs all fail. I tried 2011 and 2012 without luck, 2009 will take place... but it's so old :-(

  I tried various repairs and running in compatibility mode - without success.

  The programs will all attempt to start and then report what they can't.

  If I run in safe mode the error reported is 0 x 80041161, but none of the fixes offered to this problem have does not work in my case.

  There is no previous version or uninstall to IE10... and I'm not really sure it was IE10 causing the problem - it could be a coincidence.

  The problem is probably with your graphics card. IE10 requires some improvements in W7 handling graphics. If your graphics card can't handle these, you will see a variety of flaws, including Windows programs (Live) Essentials unable to start or run poorly.

  Go to Windows Update > installed updates, find KB2670838 and use the Uninstall button to remove it. This will uninstall IE10 so. Then check on the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer/graphics to display updated drivers.

  I recommend you to check the latest drivers for the keyboard and try these methods

  Method 1:

  Try to connect another keyboard and check if the keyboard is detected.

  Method 2:

  Restore the system to the date it was working fine the windows recovery mode

  i. put the Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

  II. press a key when you are prompted.

  III. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.

  IV. click repair your computer.

  v. click on the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

• The IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 USB mouse stops working (after ding dong)

  It seems that after an update of my optical mouse USB freeze (there's a ding dong) and then stops working and the Red led on the mouse turns off.

  Whenever I connect Windows live I get a message that this communication platform on-line Windows has stopped working and windows will close the program and I am started mid convo quickly.   You should post in the Windows Live help as Mick has suggested. They will come back with help.

  However, in the meantime, you can do a repair on your own.
  Have you installed programs before this problem started? This may include antivirus, e-mail programs, etc.
  I've seen some posts where some products Antivirus and cause of conflict. So as a troubleshooting step, remove your antivirus (not just disable) and see if there is a conflict with your AntiVirus and Windows Live messenger. (Do not forget and don't go out when you do not have an antivirus installed on intenet).

  If that doesn't help, then do a clean boot and see if there is a conflict. You disable all startup items and services of third parties at boot. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loader program or service.
