  No, the files are not automatically sent to the creative cloud when you import them into Lightroom. In order to have images in the cloud of Adobe creative, it must create a collection in Lightroom, choose the images you want to share via Lightroom online or via Lightroom Mobile. You will have to consciously choose to share this collection before sending them to the cloud. If you have inadvertently shared a collection, it's simple stop sharing by clicking on the small icon to the left of this collection. You are in complete control of what you share and do not share in the cloud. You could take the time to watch this video. It will give you a good introduction to the functioning of Lightroom Mobile:

  If you want to see what so-called pictures are waiting for you, you can go to Lightroom.adobe.com and sign in with your Adobe ID and password.   You can disable and uninstall if you need the space on your hard drive... otherwise, versions are completely separate and do not need to be removed
