The destination does not support 64-bit clients

My VMware server contains two Quad Core 64-bit processors.  I'm migrating a physical machine running Windows 2 k 3 64-bit to a virtual machine, but the migration/converter of VMware software responds with, ' < span class = "objects" > the destination does not support 64-bit clients.» Why doesn't it let me convert the machine?  Thanks for any help.

You must enable VT in the advanced options of the BIOS of the HOST servers.  Once this is done, you must turn off the physical machine and power then turn it back on.

  • The destination does not support the EFI firmware.

    Hello

I have a Debian Linux 7.0 physics I'm P2V using converter 5.5.3.  When I choose my target ESXi server, I like:

The destination does not support the EFI firmware.

How confirm/deny, or enable the EFI on my node ESXi support?

    Hello

This may be a false signal. The problem is that Debian is not a taken GOS supported for the converter. That's why he treats her like "Other Linux" and then the ESXi responds that it does not support the "other Linux" on EFI.

Unfortunately I see no significant workaround solution. There is a crazy idea - converter checks if the source computer's BIOS or EFI by searching the directory/sys/firmware/efi/vars. If you can somehow it wrong that there is no (I don't know how), it might treat the source such as BIOS and convert it. When this happens, you should then change the VM of destination to EFI firmware and manually create the EFI boot entry somehow.

  • The destination does not support firmware of EFI - Converter 6.0.0 - 5.5 ESXi

    Hello

I'm trying to run a live P2V with vmware converter standalone 6.0.0 running on the actually physical machine to be converted and after selecting the destination ESXi 5.5 I get "the destination doesn't support EFI firmware". The physical machine is running Windows 2008 R2 standard x 64 and is a System x 3550 M2. Ive looked on the internet but can't seem to find someone with the same problem.

Does anyone know if there is a work around for this problem?

    Thank you very much

Well the problem was VCA mode has been enabled on the cluster, and there were a few esxi 4.1 servers in the cluster. Once I removed the host outside the cluster the Converter 4.1 offered 8,9 and 10 versions of the VM who support efi. This solved the prob.

  • Error does not support 64-bit Windows, Explorer of Titanic on Win 7 64 bit installation

Original title: Titanic Explorer on Win 7 64 bit Running

Hello, I just got an application called James Cameron's Titanic Explorer, it's cool, but I have a problem installing it.

When I try to install it, it says it does not support 64-bit Windows. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 bit.

Is there a way I could run in 64-bit Windows? Thanks for help

EDIT: I tried compatibility mode, no luck.

According to the program, it does not work on a 64-bit so make OS run natively is very likely.

If you have another Windows license, you can still use Windows Virtual PC to run virtually, but keep in mind any visualization program has limited graphics ability and it may not always work well or very quickly.

There are maybe a few settings in the options/preferences menu of COD.  Your best way is to ask in a support forum for COD.

If the school is "none"... ignore the rest of my answer.

    If so,.

Open Windows mail > tools > accounts > click your hotmail account > properties > advanced. Under outgoing (SMTP) Mail, change the port # 25 to 587 > click OK

see if it's ok now by sending a test message to yourself.

  • Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD. The disk has been created in a way that the player does not support

Original title: error reading from a photo cd

Error message "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD. The disk has been created in a way that the player does not support"when the disc is inserted into the PC HP Touchsmart yet he plays on the laptop.  Help please

    Hello

    (1) what is the file format of the photos on the CD?

    (2) you are able to play another CD/DVD on this computer?

    (3) have you made recent changes to the computer before the show?

    (4) is it a Blu - ray disc?

Install the codec for Blu - Ray. Your Blu - ray player should have come with a medium containing the codec. You can also use your favorite search engine and free research Blu - ray codec.
The Blu - ray disc format is not supported in Windows Media Player. To play a Blu - ray disc, you must use a non-Microsoft program that supports Blu - ray playback and a device that can play Blu - ray discs.

If you have a program that supports Blu - ray, then I suggest you to use the Troubleshoot utility and check for the issue.

You can try the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Play a CD or DVD in Windows Media Player
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/play-a-CD-or-DVD-in-Windows-Media-Player

Method 2: Types supported by Windows Media Player files

NOTE - using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    I hope this helps.

Original title: cannot get audio from video .3g2 (Windows 7)

I have a number of videos that were recorded on a Motorola phone to format .3g2, when I played against them in windows XP Pro using what was the most recent media player, they played very well and the audio was present.

I've since upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and have found that videos will play with media player sound is not output.

I tried different players like VLC (same result, no sound) and came across one called SUPER from erightsoft which indeed works and allows me to re - encode to .wmv BUT when I do and you try to read the .wmv I encounter an error:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player does not support the format you are trying to play. »

When I clikc on help, I am led to a page with links on THIS forum.

    So here I am.

Can someone explain what is happening, why it happens and how / if I can convert them into a playable (with audio) .wmv friendly format?

    Thank you

    Hi UbinTook,

You found this message from Windows Media Player due to one of the following reasons.

    a. you try to play a file that is not supported by the player.
    b. you are trying to play a file that the player does not support, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

    Step 1:

Confirm that you are trying to play a supported file type. The following article lists the types of files (formats) supported by Windows Media Player.

Information on the types of media files that supports Windows Media Player

Note: if you have tried to play the file type is included in this table, the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

    Step 2:

Download the necessary codec to play the file.

  • Windows live mail send error "the server does not support an SSL connection. Server error 250.

Original title: Windows live mail error send

Cannot send mail to Windows Live Mail.  Error message... The server does not support an SSL connection. Server error 250. Server - * address email is removed from the privacy *. Windows Live Mail error ID - 0x800CCC7D. SMTP Protocol.  Port 25.

It's better, thank you. This message is not from the BT Server; It comes from your Avast antivirus which is intercepting your mail. You would be well advised to turn off the Avast Mail shield; It does not add any additional security if you don't by attention elsewhere, and can cause problems.

I see that it is the record of mail in bulk that because of the problems in this case. Connect to the Web e-mail account and clear the items junk and deleted records.

BT is recommended to use SSL, but your original question indicated that SSL was not taken in charge for SMTP on port 25. I think we'd better go on all your settings. Recommendations of BT are on this page: BT email: what are the settings for outgoing and incoming mail servers?, but they only work if you disable Avast scanning mail.

Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties.

    • Under the servers tab, make sure that my server requires authentication is selected.
Select connect with authentication in clear text.
    • On the Advanced tab, select this server requires a secure connection (SSL) for both servers.
Make sure that the incoming (IMAP) port is 993 and port for outgoing (SMTP) is 465.

When you've made all these changes, close Windows Live mail and wait five minutes for the program do its cleaning and save the modified settings. Then, restart the computer and make sure that the Mail of Avast shield is always off.

Launch Windows Live Mail, then dial a new test message and send it to yourself. Post a new message in your response.
