• Several roots of web in the developer version of CF?

  Due to the fact that our development server is three versions SEE behind our live server (6.0 vs 8.0), I decided to install the developer version of the CF8 locally.

  My only problem is that I need to have two distinct roots of web - one for our website and one for our Intranet pages.  On our development server we have/root/inter and root/staff with every being, it's own web root, but when I try to do on my CF local, all my includes fail because he believes that he:

  localhost:8500/inter/mydir

  When he must see:

  localhost:8500 / mydir

  ColdFusion 'Application server' does not care to the roots of web, it uses some web root, the web server tell him to use.

  ColdFusion "Built in Web server" which can be used if you choose, is a very basic web server and does not allow for multiple web sites.

  There is nothing that prevents you from using another web server, that you care to install it on your development computer and use with the version of your ColdFusion Application Server Developer.  If you go for free, however, the only web server that allows several websites is Apache.  Also the IIS that you install on a Workstation version of Windows doesn't support multiple web sites.

  So, in other words, to do what you want either you need to install Apache, or have a workstation that is running a Windows operating system "Server" so that you can create several web sites.

  I am fairly new to dreamweaver and Web design, and this problem came. I have two basic being development-mine sites and someone elses. Ive set the machine up as a test apache, php and mysql server.
  
  Y at - it a simple way to keep separate files and still be able to test them. If the two sites use php files, it seems that I have the mixed in the same root folder.

  If you are a Microsoft Developer, you can use ADO.NET to access the database.  This is because it is the technology on the server side and is running on the web server and not to the device.

  You can create your Web site by using one of the web technologies side server such as ASP.NET, JSP, PHP etc. Any technology that will serve up to HTML will work.

  When developing web sites for mobile devices, you will quickly realize that it is not a "one size fits all".  Each set of HTML markup will probably have to be customized for each of the mobile that you are eager to target.  And then, for each version of the operating system for mobile devices there are differences in sizes of rendering, JavaScript and HTML/CSS screen capabilities.

  My best analogy is thinking differences between desktop browsers such as IE5/6/7/8, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari vX.Y.  Then multiply that by about 10 fold when it comes to differences in mobile browsers.

  Have a Web site that supports all mobile devices with a set of means HTML you'll probably adopt an approach more common denominator based on lowest mobile device features, you want to support.  The alternative is create targeted for each mobile user experiences.

  The old format (/images/image.jpg ) used to work properly in my previous Setup of DW 8 but appear grey in DW after 'redevelopment' of mac cs5.5 DW. (they look good on the server, but it is difficult to change the image-heavy pages locally when they are all gray).

  I tried to change the files to how DW creates relative links root now:

  /public_html/images/image.jpg, which is a flow of root very easy, attractive, since there is a one-to-one mapping. These look great in DW, but are detailed on the server!

  I looked at the "Advanced" site configuration, and it seemed that it would be possible for the nuke part /public_html/ of my server info... but it also seemed that there was the potential to do damage, modification of these parameters, which are automatically generated from our server connection settings, which seem to work.

  The "links from the document / site root" toggle... did change how DW interprets existing links, or simply change the value by default when you add a link?  I did 80% of the file... before paper links I wondered if relative to the root is not better?

  Of course, it seems less ambiguous for all these pictures if theres a way to make the relative root works for the mode of creation of DW, DW link checking and server.

  Think of your site definition is set up wrong.  public_html should not be to anywhere in your local site.  It is up to your remote site under the directory root definition.  See screenshot.  In my example, the root directory of the server is htdocs /.  This is where you put public_html

  I have setup a site on my local machine.
  My site is configured as follows:
  Local root folder: D:\Data\PDFPOP.COM\ElegantAluminum\

  When I insert an image in a web page, the source of the image incorrectly displays the relative root as follows:
  SRC="/ElegantAluminum/images/somepic.jpg".
  
  It should be:
  SRC="/images/somepic.jpg".
  
  It seems that the root folder is powered correctly, by, including the real root directory folder. With the incorrect image paths, I have to manually change the source of the image so that it appears correctly.

  I need help with my Safari browser on my Mac.

  Im trying to remove all Web site data with the following procedure:

  Safari-> Preferences-> privacy-> Remove All Data Web site...

  His does not work. Before clicking on the button I have 108 Web sites stored cookies or other data, I click the button, and nothing happens... I'm still 108 cookies.

  I also did the following:

  . - activate the Menu developer and Cache empty and tried again... nothing

  . - used CleanMyMac v3 and it says I don't have cookies.

  . - order iCloud Sync of Safari on the computer and try again... same problem

  . - removed manually com.apple. Safari. Secure

  If I understand your message that nothing happens when you try to remove the Safari Web site data. I know how it is important for you to be able to remove the Safari Web site data. I recommend that you restart your Mac into safe mode and see if you can remove the data from the Web site in secure mode.

  Here are the steps to restart your Mac in safe mode:

  Safe mode (sometimes called secure boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents certain software from loading automatically or opening.

  From your Mac in safe mode does the following:

  * Check your startup disk and attempts to fix problems if necessary directory
  * Loads only required kernel extensions
  * Prevents the elements start and the login items open automatically
  * Disables installed user fonts
  * Delete font caches, hiding the kernel and other files of the system cache
  * Together, these changes can help resolve or isolate issues related to your startup disk.

  Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

  1. start or restart your Mac.
  2. as soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
  3. release the SHIFT key when you see the Apple logo appears on the screen.

  After you delete data from the Web site in safe mode restart your Mac and allow it to start up as usual. Then test the issue again.

  What is your question? You can certainly use Xcode for the development of Web sites. That's what I've always done. I can't tell if it's a good idea or not. It served my needs in the past, but I don't know if this will be the case in the future. The wide project search tool is very convenient. But the spelling is a problem. And since it's an Apple software locked up like Fort Knox and be redesigned entirely on a quarterly basis, it is impossible to add custom features. I wish I had a spell checker that only looked for text nodes, for example. All I can say is that, as one of the few people who use Xcode for development of Web site, I will follow your link to Stack Overflow, and get some better ideas.

  Try to use another uninfected machine to see these articles & download latest anti programs anti-virus & updates in offline mode. Then those of the infected machine transport of optical disc.

  Don't use USB drives because the virus will try to put a back to itself on your storage device USB that will infect the machines in the future or infect your newly developed system in shape again.

  In the worst cases, or for beginners full disk HARD formatting & at the same time the formatting of USB storage are more protective defense.

  The same thing happens when I logout on the developer site.

  They are two very different things.

  Proposal for a new Machine: Sony VAIO series Z, 8GIG memory i7 Quad Core Windows 7 64 bit with all the bells/whistles.

  I'm all for spending money (above is $2 +) on the latest hardware equipment provided:

  1. it has a significant impact on the reduction of the above-mentioned waiting time. (On a 9 hour day, I spend a good 2.5 hours waiting on something. This corresponds to $250 / day or $1250 / week, I have to charge my clients to look at different progress bars, attaching debugger..., etc.! It is difficult to compete with that.

  2. it does not introduce any new problems (some positions are a little scary when it comes to simulators and Eclipse).

  Missions, it seems that the best way to develop on the 64-bit environments must run in a virtual XP environment. My concern there would be limits on the size of the memory, which is the machine a 8GIG but still only have to WHAT XP can answer? I could certainly live with the virtual environment, as long waiting times mentioned above are reduced and I have other new questions!

  Is there additional information, for example a white paper, forums, discussions that are more recent or that I simply missed?

  Sure.

  I do not install under program (x 86) because on Win7, it is a protected directory and you will need to remember to run it in administrator mode or things like etc updates may fail. By default, he really wants to install in your home like c:\User\\AppData directory... that is so stupid just because this is a protected directory and who can remember where it is. So I just make a new directory Genuitec (the company that develops my Eclipse) and use that as a basis for my installation directory.

  Also make sure that you are using the 32-bit version of my Eclipse and a jre 32 bit as 64 JRE has some limitations.

  I have install the simulators in the default directory for example "Smartphone of C:\BlackBerry 7.1.0\7.1.0.98 simulators (9900) \9900.bat" and use the Blackberry Update site to install the jre BB etc.

  Do not use the XP mode for this, I have never found the need

  Hello.

  I just wrote a quick Hello world app for reading and writing NDEF records, based on the code provided in the development Guide.

  I use the MiFare Ultralight tags. However, it does not work.

  I could write NDEF only once during the tests, but after that I was unable to write the tags again or delete them using my application. However, the application of NFC demo included with the BB is able to write.

  Thinking that the tag doesn't have enough space to store the nested NDEF message of the dev guide, I changed the code (reader and writer) use only a title and url records, without success.

  I also tried to change the parameter listener of NDEFRecord.TNF_WELL_KNOW to NDEFRecord.TNF_ANY, so read the labels already written with the demo included in the BB application, but it has no effect. I have read that sporadically with the two types, but most of the time the BB does not detect everything just the tag.

  Now, I know that:

  • The tag is readable and writable, because I read and written in the plain format ISO-14443-3 and the BB demo readings and Scripture in NDEF.
  • The tag is unlocked and able NDEF (inspected a target using DetectionListener object)
  • A few times I was able to write an NDEF tag, but then it is not readable by my application nor by BB demo group.
  • I have read several times, but most of the time it fails.
  • Tried to erase the label before writing, but does not work.

  I use exactly the same code that appears in the development guide and a BB 9360.

  Finally, I solved the problem. It turns out that my tags (Mifare Ultralight) have only 64 bytes of total storage, so the example NDEFMessage in the development Guide (root NDEF Sp record with two folders nested inside) is too big to be stored when the text exceeds a few words.

  With regard to the NDEFTagConnection class, I found that the erase method throws exceptions, and that the append method is problematic. The only method that worked for me was the write method (who wrote the entire tag).
