The Dimension members based on the attribute filtering

Hi all

In Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.2 classic Application, is there a way by which we can display values of members on data based on the attribute form; for example

If we have the dimension entity having the list of universities and corresponding attribute category have values as medical, General and engineering.

I want only members of entities on form having value attribute equal to the General category.

Check this box: Selection of members

See you soon... !!

  • Calculate the attribute (entity) Total value based on a specific entity

    I'm writing a calc that will calculate a total based on an attribute (entity) and based on a specific entity. I am currently able to calculate the total value of the attribute by using @SUM (@ATTRIBUTE (attrmembername)). I tried specifying the entity specifi in DIFFICULTY, but it is still calculating the total of the entire dimension, rather based on a specific entity. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

    Use the @REMOVE function to exclude members that you do not want. The FIX is not your problem. Within the function, when you call @ATTRIBUTE, you get all basic members associated with this attribute.
    So in your @SUM function that you must exclude members you won't be part of the sum.

    Suppose you had a structure where you had a '1' attribute that has been associated with several children of 'A' and 'B', but in your sum function, you want only to the sum of the members who have the '1' attribute, AND are children of "A". If you want to exclude with the attribute members that are under the 'B '.

    @SUM (@REMOVE (@ATTRIBUTE("1"), @CHILDREN ('B'));

  • Dimensions of loading - not the dimension members

    Hello

    I am experienced in loading of the dimension's members with data files / rules, but is in any case do the equivalent for the generation 1 - this is the dimensions themselves, without export from an existing database.

    If so can someone point me to a reference or a brief example worked, I'm wanting to automate the creation of dimensions, whether sparse or dense and if they are of dimensions of specialist (like time, accounts etc.).

    Thank you

    Robert.

    Create a loadrule and in the dimension properties based on the third tab, you can set dimensions. Then make a right click on the defined dimension allows you to edit the properties of it.

  • Time Dimension type to different values in the attributes - Bug or feature?

    Not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

    But if there is a time dimension hierarchies. You have the option of specifying different values for member attributes in different hierarchies.

    For example.

    A hierarchy has MIN_ID for its members and uses MIN_END_DATE for its end_date

    Hierarchy B has MIN_ID for its members and uses SESS_END_DATE for its end_date

    According to this message and a comment by David Greenfield:

    Gender issue when several mappings for different hierarchies

    "You try to map the same attribute, SORT, on different columns in two hierarchies? In other words, what do you expect the same Member to have different values for the attribute in the two different hierarchies? If so, then this is a problem because a member must have the same value for the attribute independently of the hierarchy. »

    Unlike a dimension of the user, a time dimension seems to allow this and it seems to work as expected. Behavior in this case is the difference between a user and the time dimension?

    Your description of the structure of the dimension is very clear, but I have a question about system requirements. When you say you want to the time running from 17:00 to 16:59, do you mean that the calculation must spand day? for example "5:00 PM: Jan 1, 2012" to "4:59 PM: 2 Jan 2012".» If so, then this you is impossible by making a loop only the dimension of time-seconds. Or do you really mean it must wrap around the same day. for example "5:00 PM: Jan 1, 2012" at "11:59 PM: 1 Jan 2012", then again to "00:00 AM: 1 Jan 2012" to "4:59 PM: 1 Jan 2012"?»»»

    If you want the calculation for the period of days, then I think you need to spend TIME on the DATE dimension level. You can leave some MINUTES in the second dimension, which can be a dimension of standard user. You must then two levels of the DAY (with different members) in the date dimension - each with a different set of the child. You can assign the TIME_SPAN to the TIME level 1.

  • Retreival of dimension of the attribute on spreadhsheet

    Hello all-

    I have a dimension of the attribute attached to a basic dimension. For ex if the protected attribute is 'can' and is set to 9 different members on the dimension of the base and if I want to get the sum of 9 members on spreadsheet withour retreving

    can each Member of dimension of Base how I achieve this? Should I get the size of the attribute with the base dimesnion on the worksheet?

    Please advise!

    Thank you!!

    OK, you should be able to retrieve the information you want by:

    (1) setting in the page setup (in line or column) total member of members that have the attribute
    (2) setting on the page layout (row or column) name of the attribute that you want to display

    So imagine you had a Dimension of 'Market' with Europe, aggregation, Portugal, Spain and France. The Spain and Portugal have the attribute 'Emerging Market'. In the excel report, you can set the following provision:

    RANK: Gross_SalesSales Europe Emerging_Market

    He will have to recover the total amount of sales to emerging markets in Europe.

    I tried it and it works...

    It can be useful;

  • Need to sort the instances of an entity or assign a rank to each of them based on one of the attributes.

    I need to assign a rank to each instance of an entity called 'Campaign', based on one of the attributes of the entity of campaign called "recipes". So, essentially, that we need to check the current instance with all other insatnces of campaign, assign the relative to the current row.

    Emergency assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    A common method is to create a relationship of self-esteem for the campaign.  Call it something like "lower income".

    Rule 1 creates relationships for campaigns that have a lower income:

    Campaign (target) is a member of the decline in revenues, if

    Revenue from target< compaign="">

    2 account rule the number of relationships to create a ranking (and puts the number in a variable called 'Campaign order number'):

    Campaign sequence number = the number of the decline in revenues

    The 'Order of campaign number' attribute in each entity now has your order in it.

  • Validation on the value entered for the attribute-based LOV

    Hello

    I use R12 and created an integrator based on a Table based on a table of seedlings open interface. I use an approach that does not involve PLSQL since the Integrator is based on a Table on a table of seedlings open interface and I have so defined it an importer to call a simultaneous program seeded import. I also put in place a LOV component on one of the attributes in the interface.

    My question is, if in the spreadsheet, the user double-click in the cell LOV to extract, and then select a value (for example if they are in copying and pasting quite a few records if they manually type a value) and the value you entered don't is not one who belongs to a group of data from the LOV, this would raise a validation error when loading?

    In this scenario, I would LOV to serve as a validation check to ensure that users can choose only one value that would be in the LOV, even if they have not actually open the popup LOV and selected a value there. I have some research which I would probably need to validate the data against and because my approach is purely a non-PLSQL that I think the best way to achieve this.

    Appreciate your help as always

    Concerning

    Not to worry, I think I answered my own question by developing a little proof of concept.

    As expected, you can enter values that are part of the DataSet LOV. Enter any other value will highlight the line as an error line asking the user to enter a valid value.

    Thank you

    and

    bpws:getVariableData('getItemResponse','body','/ns7:OutputParameters/ns7:GET_ITEM/ns7:Row[bpws:getVariableData('partIndex')]/ns7:Column[@name='SEGMENT1'])

    but I got this compilation error:

    Error (157): xpath expression "bpws:getVariableData ('getItemResponse', 'body','/ ns7:OutputParameters / ns7:GET_ITEM / ns7:Row [bpws:getVariableData('partIndex')] / ns7:Column [@name = 'SEGMENT1'])" appearing is not valid, because XPath query syntax error. The syntax error occurs when parsing bpws:getVariableData ('getItemResponse', 'body','/ ns7:OutputParameters / ns7:GET_ITEM / ns7:Row [bpws:getVariableData('partIndex')] / ns7:Column [@name = 'SEGMENT1']) expression XPath, posted on 112. The XPath query syntax was false; the exception was: anticipated :). Check the detailed origin described in the text of the exception message and verify that the XPath expression that is named in the error message is correct. Use an entitlement and copy node and you can get it to work by using the syntax below.

    Assign an expression of the copy below syntax: -.

    Query="/ns1:GET_ITEM/ns1:row[$index]/ns1:column[./@name='Segment1']"/ >

    Query = "" / client: processResponse / client: result "/ >"

  • Formula of writing on the Dimension of the attribute with the data type Date

    Hi all

    I have a Dimension of the employee who has Joining_Date as a Dimension attribute. I loaded the data in the format "yyyy-mm-dd".
    I have a scenario to calculate not joins in a month. For this I created a member like joinies and I tried to get the Date in the beam using @ATTRIBUTEVAL (Joining_Date) to perform the calculation on it. But when I see the essbase/planning addin data get different value.

    Ex: For an employee ' 05/10/2006' is the attribute value, but he excel make me '1147219200 '.

    Please, help us address this scenario.

    Thank you and best regards,

    It is not a different value. That's how Essbase stores date. This is the number of milliseconds after January 1, 1970

    Use datepart with attributeval for the year, month, day of the week

  • How to create LOV not based on an attribute of the View object?

    Hello

    I have created a form of research made hands, and I want to create an af:inputListOfValues.

    I have:
    -a read-only-view-object to get the values of BD LOV.
    -tag af:inputListOfValues (droped component Palette).

    How can I create the listOfValuesModel in the layer of links? (the inputListOfValues is not based on an attribute of the View object).

    Possible solutions.

    1. Add a dummy VO in the layer of model with a single attribute. Create LOV to the attribute and use this attribute in your view.
    2. OR visit http://andrejusb.blogspot.in/2008/02/list-of-values-component-in-search-and.html

    When I try to get the dimension members in the validation rules editor,
    I am - Web page message * 'data for this dimension not found' *
    I can't select the members here, I selected in activities-> map
    Can someone help me look for my existing members?

    Best regards

    Hello

    Are you sure that you associate dimensions "VALxxxxx" in the workbench to your valid dimensions within Essbase?
    VAL dimensions are down at the bottom of the list of dimension for the adapter Essbase... and ValEntity, ValAccount, etc.

  • Creating shared Dimension members to the planning of the period

    In my application of planning for any member (including zero), I see only the following options for member properties:

    Store,
    Dynamic Calc
    Dynamic Calc and Store
    Never to part

    Is the above normal?
    If so, how can I enable the Member to share? In particular, I want to share the time dimension members. Is it still possible?

    OK this is what I did on the 11.1.2 classic sample planning app
    Administration > manage the Dimensions > period
    Add a child to the time Member
    Name = CustQ1
    Add a child to CustQ1
    Name = Oct
    Dtx200 = shared

    You should be able to clear the lock by restarting the web application Planning Server.

    You can also take a look in the HSP_LOCKS table.

    I hope this helps.

  • Outbreak of the tasks of process definition based on multiple attributes changes

    Hi all

    I am creating a custom TAG connector to configure an LDAP accounts. I have over 100 fields defined by the user with the user object in IOM and about 60 of them will stay in sync with user accounts in LDAP. When an any of these 60 updated items for a user, I would like to than IOM for updating the LDAP user attributes.

    I know that I can add 60 jobs 'Change < field name >' to the process definition. However, it would be very inefficient for what I'm trying to do because of the number of attributes that I care. Often during major reconciliations of registration systems, several attributes will change for each user. So if 20 attributes change a user in a single transaction and I separate tasks for each attribute, which would result in 20 LDAP updates rather than one.

    So I was wondering, is it possible to have a single definition of process task that fires when one of these 60 attributes updated and include all the attributes and values that has updated as part of this operation?

    Thank you

    Delete all entries in your list of choices for the triggers. Add a task to your process definition supply Xellerate user who performs this update to your LDAP directory. Trigger the task to run in response to your task of reconciliation was updated.
