Dimensions of loading - not the dimension members

Hello

I am experienced in loading of the dimension's members with data files / rules, but is in any case do the equivalent for the generation 1 - this is the dimensions themselves, without export from an existing database.

If so can someone point me to a reference or a brief example worked, I'm wanting to automate the creation of dimensions, whether sparse or dense and if they are of dimensions of specialist (like time, accounts etc.).

Thank you

Robert.

Create a loadrule and in the dimension properties based on the third tab, you can set dimensions. Then make a right click on the defined dimension allows you to edit the properties of it.

  • Videos on Facebook not be loading not because I switched to Firefox. Can correct?

There is a video on my Facebook timeline which will still play. It's a YouTube who was transferred in 2009. Everything else is represented in the attached two screenshots. I just switched to Firefox yesterday, 09/05/15, so it is current. I'm going back to IE and it all happens, as usual. I have hardware acceleration not clicked without effect. Java enabled is set to True. So far, this is my only problem, but it's a biggy. Can you help me?

And now don't be loading not the images, I'm going to show you. 15 minutes should be long enough for 100 KB, right? Still nothing. I'll try in the words, with which I'm not very good.
Videos, I shared on my calendar, when you click on it, just go black with this message, "" unavailable video: we're having difficulties playing this video. "" Videos I scroll up on my news feed just the "pulsed" bars sequential show, as it is trying to load, and that's all he's ever done. Previously, with IE, this would simply start playing, or respond to a click.

It is now more than 20 minutes, so I guess that the images do not download. I hope you can do something that I wrote.

Probably, you need the Flash Player for Firefox plugin. Get it here.

  • Planning error object is locked when loading of the dimension members by HAL

We have a problem loading a dimension members in a planning application. We get the error message Error: com.hyperion.planning.ObjectIsLockedException: the PKI object is locked by another user.
We can load other dimensions, and we do not have the sessions/users in the application.
We have also restarted the planning service.

Has anyone seen this problem before?

    Thank you very much

You should be able to clear the lock by restarting the web application Planning Server.

You can also take a look in the HSP_LOCKS table.

    I hope this helps.

  • HOW TO LOAD DIMENSIONS / MEMBERS IN ESSBASE ASO REQUEST

    Hello

We are running Oracle EPM 11.1.2.4 and created with success the planning application help EPMA workspace, it is necessary to create a reporting application. We have created a new application of ePMA workspace as essbase ASO and have dimensions of base construction and members of epma itself, the need is to have the same dimensions / members in the application (planning and ASO). My question is:

How to bulk load dimensions / workspace members in Essbae ASO using EPMA / EAS?

    Thank you

    Concerning

    Shahrukh

You must use the same method to load the members that you already use in EPMA, if it's a pure Essbase applications and metadata should be loaded for EPMA and not through the Regional service.

If you already have applications of EPMA, then you would use the same method.

  • Cannot search the Dimension members in the Validation rules editor

    Dear all,

    I installed FDM + Foundation + HFM + Essbase + planning 11.1.1.3
I stacked with the following problem:
When I try to get the dimension members in the validation rules editor,
I am - Web page message * 'data for this dimension not found' *
I can't select the members here, I selected in activities-> map
Can someone help me look for my existing members?

    Best regards
    Siarhei

    Hello

Are you sure that you associate dimensions "VALxxxxx" in the workbench to your valid dimensions within Essbase?
VAL dimensions are down at the bottom of the list of dimension for the adapter Essbase... and ValEntity, ValAccount, etc.

  • Creating shared Dimension members to the planning of the period

In my application of planning for any member (including zero), I see only the following options for member properties:

    Store,
    Dynamic Calc
    Dynamic Calc and Store
    Never to part

    Is the above normal?
If so, how can I enable the Member to share? In particular, I want to share the time dimension members. Is it still possible?

OK this is what I did on the 11.1.2 classic sample planning app
Administration > manage the Dimensions > period
Add a child to the time Member
    Name = CustQ1
    Add a child to CustQ1
    Name = Oct
    Dtx200 = shared

  • Special Smarview - security access to Dimension members

    Hi all

We use the 11.1.2.1.0.83 planning and applied security filters in the members of a dimension custom in order to cancel the access to specific users.

    Example Dimension:

    A

    A1

    A11

    A12

    A2

    A21

    A3

    A31

I gave a specific user read access to IDescendants 'A', AND NO access for the Descendants of "A1", "A2" and "A3". From a form were I have IDescendants (A), the user correctly only see:

    A

    A1

    A2

    A3

But if the user creates an analysis ad hoc of Smartview and made 'zoom' (all levels) in the members, all the members of his descendants are displayed with #NO ACCESS. I want the ad hoc sheet to "zoom in" only available to the user members (A, A1, A2 and A3), is - it possible?

    Thanks in advance,

    Analía

    Analia

This is because the way Planning filters are configured in Essbase (not your fault). Planning filters are configured as read in Essbase and planning internal mechanism displays only the members that the user has access. However, when he uses Smart View Ad - hoc, it connects to Essbase (not planning) where the playback filter comes in. It will be able to see all the members. (He won't be able to read and so not accessible).

Blog reading Cameron on this Blog for Essbase pirates Cameron: fixing planning filters

The only option you have is to set the filters to Essbase on metaread.

  • Applying a secondary sort order of dimension members?

My organization is running short 3.1.1 inexperienced Manager.  We currently have some of our dimensions (for example, "product.brand") configured to have their members to be ordered by refinement (number of visits) County, in the apps / file /config/api_input/schema.csv (appname).  (So in the navigation on the left of the application of our trade, the users see this dimension members ranked by number of hits, top-down, for the current slice of the projected product catalog.)

The company asked if we can apply a secondary sort order, such as the dimension is always sorted by number of hits, but among the members of the dimension with the same number of hits, a secondary sort of alphabetical sorting criteria is applied between these members.

Is it possible to do through short configuration?

    Thank you

    -Jon

Not possible out of the box (you can have some sort of combination for the records, but not for dimension values).  It should be simple to do in your web application layer, create a comparator and compare() compare on DimVal.getProperties () .get ("Dgraph.Bins") well first of all, and if it equals compare on DimVal.getName ()).

  • Entity and combinations of generic dimension members

    Hello

is it possible to limit the generic dimension using members of the entity members?

    Entity
    -All
    -Org1
    - And Org2
    Project
    -All
    -Project1
    -Project2
    -Project3

    And I like combinations
    ORG1 - Project1
    ORG1 - Project2
    And org2 - Project2
    And org2 - Project3

    Hello

Do you mean "restrict" such that they do not exist? If so, then I would ask why you were trying to do. If it was to prevent some users from entering certain intersections, then you might find that you can simply restrict the dimension of project members. This works of course if users 'Org' was only put into service.

Another way you could restrict what you see the shape however perhaps to show only the members where blocks are created, and to have a value of '' parity '' in the intersections of Member you wanted shown (this will not be visible on the form of course), such that they would appear on the form. This would remove effectively any possibility of someone to enter data into the intersections that you didn't want to conclude.

Warning of this, of course, would be that the Dimension of the project will be in the grid and that he could not be on the Page/POV of the form...

    Hi Thr,

You can try one of the below one:
    (1) use excel add and drill to the bottom of the hierarchy of entities
    (2) planning and essbase have the same hierarchy, why not use an extractor of contour in the essbase
    (3) Sql query on the realtion to correct hierarchy table
    (4) ODI
    (5) the file EPMA generator from a planning application can be used to take directly extract EPMA (if you EPMA)

ODI and HAL, y at - it another way to download Dimension members in planning 9.3.1 describe? I know planning 11.1.x has a utility to allow you to quickly create a preview, but is there something similar in the 9.3.1?

You can cut and paste INTO the library of EPMA dimension, but you certainly can not copy from Excel and paste into EPMA.
