  I am experiancing crashes to desktop when I try to click on the main menu of the game oblivion. I've had the game for a long time and it worked when I tried it (about a year). But now it crashes whenever I click on something in the main menu. I don't remember any specific major changes that have been made to the computer, because it stopped working because I haven't used the game in more than a year, but I tried several methods of attachment:

  Look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.

  Measures to check the application event log:

  1. click on start.
  2. in the search box type eventvwr.msc, and then on enter.
  3. now, click Application in the event viewer (local).
  4. now locate the event log on the right side of the event viewer window.

  Alternatively, you can try to update your video card driver and check if that helps.

  Steps to update video card driver:
   
  a. click the Start button.
  (b) in the search box type devmgmt.msc and then press ENTER.

  e. in the Properties window, on the driver tab, click Update driver.
  f. after the installation of the updates, restart the computer.

  My Games for Windows 'SKYRIM, Elder Scrolls V' game continues to crash every few minutes. I tried everything suggested by the manufacture of game and the site of the game "Steam", where the game is played, but nothing is. I have all my drivers updated. My PC is greater than all the recommended requirements to run the game. I reinstalled the game, updated the game, scanned the game, updated my windows software, you name it I tried it. The game installed and started very well, but after 4-5 minutes of the game, it just hangs at a black screen, with the sound in the game always running. After a minute or so, the sound stops and a humming noise replace. I have to press the button for a few seconds so that the PC to shut down. CTL + alt + delete does not work when the game crashes.

  My PC is a gateway DX4840 with intel Core i5 650 processor running the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit @ 3.2 GHz, 4 GB memory DDR3 Ram, ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics card PCIe with 1 GB of memory, Cox Cable Internet connection with a Motorola cable modem,. & DLink Wireless N Router, 15 MBS

  connection. I TB Sata hard drive, a RW Super Multi DVD/CD drive. Sometimes the game will work very well for half an hour or more before it crashes, but most of the

  time it hangs after only 4 or 5 minutes. I learned to Quicksave my game about every 3 or 4 minutes so that I can make progress.   Update on the problem of crash: I now 1060 + hours of game play and still have not solved the problem of crash. Normally, I run that my computer with no auto update turned on what so ever, not even Windows auto update. I thought that this could be the cause of the Windows error log entry that says "TESV.exe has stopped interacting with Windows and stopped. So I enabled Windows automatic update - no change at all. The game always crashes all the minutes. I noticed that most of the occre crashes just like, or just after that I walk around with my charictor @ change of direction all of a sudden or rapid movement in one direction for a while or for a very long distance. One last thing, I sometimes use "God Mode Cheat Code" to get out of a very difficult situation in the game. The use of cheats in the console will cause outages? If yes how can I disable the protection 'Punk buster type' game modes that could have the default set. I have several Mods installed but I had crashes before I never installed one of the Mods. I have over 50 Mods installed either. I completely run out of ideas and patience with the way to solve this problem. It is, of course, put a damper on my enjoyment of the game. If I was not so bull headed, I would have given to the top a long time ago. I really like the game but cannot aford to buy many more mice or keyboards, to replace the ones I ruined right after a game crash. I splashed several mice out of my wall of the apartment when my temper got the best of me. I think it's better than bottling up anger and having a heart attack. lol just kidding. 2 mouse and 1KO have bit the dust so far but my 2 female roommates are starting to think I'm a little crazy.   Your computer's specifications are more than OK, it's the game itself that is causing the issues. Some argue lock TESV.exe (executable of the game) to steam is the cause, and revert to the version 1.1 (where TESV.exe can be launched without the steam launcher) stopped the breaks down. Others find that the change in the sound settings helped (24-bit, 44100 Hz). Others, even once, noticed that the 1.3 update (the update of 4GB memory patch) stopped accidents or aggravated their. The use of mods can also be a negative factor. Etc.etc.

  It would help if you had an error log any. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon that spontaneous TCTC happen without leaving any trace, but you can type "perfmon /rel" in the search (without quotes) bar to open the reliability monitor where accidents can be declared as events with a cross within a red circle. For example: one of the users of the forums above could provide a log of errors with "BEX" and "Code of Exception: c0000409 '-c' is a mistake that could be avoided by temporarily disabling DEP, DEP data (enabled by default on 64-bit CPU).

  If you have formatted (and I guess that reinstalled XP) games give you a hard time, and I would look first to your video drivers.

  Video drivers that come on the XP CD are generic and may not be quite right for your video hardware environment.

  Since we don't know anything about your system (because MS Answers don't ask for all), the usual advice is to go to your manufacturers Web site to get the latest video drivers.

  If you are unsure of what you have, maybe we can help you find the right video drivers.

  Please provide additional information on your system:

  Click Start, run and enter in the box:

  Msinfo32

  Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

  For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.

  There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

  This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.

• Firefox 3 crashing - have to use FF3 because of the ALPS scroll does not work in anything else

  Hi, as you know, you can change the number of tiles on the Page of the new tab to zoom in or out (Ctrl and + key, or Ctrl and - key).

  If you want to keep the same zoom setting when a new tab is clicked: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.preload and double-click on it to change the 'value' of true to False.

  It is also possible about: config to change the maximum number of tiles by scrolling to the browser.newtabpage.columns (or Rows), then right-click > modify to set a new number of 'value '.

  As an alternative, you might like to try the add-on new tab tools.

  I know it is contained to the left or to the right of the portion of the screen I see because I can get by using the arrow keys on some Internet sites.   I don't know what model of laptop you have, but it turns out that not all series of phones are supported to win 10 upgrade.
  In this case Win 10 drivers will not be released on such unit...

  The touchpad scrolling requires additional touchpad driver...
  If your device supports Synaptics touchpad, you can also use the driver for the Synaptics driver page:

  But currently driver to Win 10 is not available... you can try to install and to use the Win 8.1 driver but I'm not sure if it will work properly...

  Have you tried to access a Web site or application that requires you to scroll down?  If there is no need to scroll down, there is no present vertical scroll bar, the same as if you don't need to scroll to see everything, it won't get a horizontally.
