• EMP Configurator - drop/recreate Tables Question

  The question regarding the EMP Configurator.

  All products are deployed on the same schema (assumes that the SS, WORKSHOP, planning, HFM), and I would like to re - set up the schedule.

  If I choose only the option "configure database" for planning only and then choose "delete and re-create the tables", which only decreases the HSP, or all tables in the schema? My gut tells me it will only drop the HSP paintings, but my past experiences told me that there is a high probability it will drop the entire schema.

  Appreciate any idea

  It should only remove system planning objects, if you are worried then make sure you have a backup or point to another schema.

• Update in the registry of the EMP by "applicationListener"?

  A couple of days, users have started to the complaint that smartview is down and Suzanne could not analyze data in Excel. All services have been restarted, but the EPM_Server has not started.

  After a few days trying to solve the problem, we have recovered most of the tools (planning, SS, EAS, Smartview) but we are still working to recover from the financial information.

  Anyway, we analyzed the DDBB and we found something which, for me, is what caused the problem. The CONFIG_HISTORY of the DDBB HSS table has hundreds of lines of EMP registry update (in the ACTION column) which have been made by an applicationListener (in the column of the TOOL) in the time and date had trouble with smartview users.

  Does anyone know what is this darn applicationListener and especially, how this applicationListener tool is run to change all the entire record of EMP?

  Recently, we had the similar problem again. However, we have more information about it. First of all, a brief explanation on our environment:

  • We have a distributed environment, where servers 1, 2 and 3 are EPM and Server 4 is used for SQL Server, each of them running on Windows Server 2008 R2.

  When the problem happened, we check the following:

  1. EMP doen't work, but the services are running
  2. Access to SQL Server is available. However to the Server 4 Remote Desktop connection is not possible/activated.
  3. At this point, the EPM_HSS tables are correct (without application listener entries in the Config_history table)
  4. HE try to restart the EMP services because the web doesn't work.
  5. Then, the problem: when EMP Services are restarted, "Application listener" written in the table of configuration of shared services.

  The workaround should do:

  1. Restart the Server 4 (in order to correct the problem of SQL Server)
  2. Restore database EPM_HSS
  3. Start the EMP Services

  SQL Server or Windows could be the initial problem but why EPM beginning process writes configuration 'default' in the configuration database? Could be a setting or a configuration by default when services begin?

  All your doubts will be erased when you download the adapter on the site of bristlecone pines. You will get an installation/configuration file which will give you all the information you need.

  The map varies with the version. I've implemented successfully on 11.1.2.3.530 FDMEE. Honestly, this type of pain if you do not follow the process correctly. But all the bugs are fixed in the new patch and Oracle has certified that this patch will be the best for the integration of SAP.

  Once integrated with success (at least successfully reverse engineering) you will need create all objects like import formats, locations, mapping of data load rules etc...

• Unable to start the EMP - Java Web Application Server

  I installed and configured EMP 11.1.2.3 version without any problems. But I am not able to start the server from the EMP HyS9EPMServer_epmsystem1 (squeegee Hyperion EPM Server - Java Web Application (epmsystem1)). I am getting below error messages in the log file.   FWIW, the El Capitan applications are no different from Yosemite. In fact, it is easier on resources in some areas. • ProDesk 600 G1 BIOS configuration of the TPM secure through the BIOS Configuration utility

  We have a range of devices, computers HP desktop and laptops in our environment.  Devices are all running Windows 7 64 bit and should have Bitlocker enabled, but we found that some were not encrypted.  So I am trying to set up a remote BIOS and Bitlocker config activate software that we can get out via SCCM and then embed in a task sequence image for new machines.

  I use the Bios HP Configuration utility to check a BIOS password is set and then activate the TPM chip.  I took a BIOS config output of each of our models and created a settings file that has all of the TPM associated parameters of all models.

  At the moment I run Setup BIOS utility manually for testing.  On all models I tried that works very well, except for the 600 ProDesk G1 SFF.

  When I run the utility on the ProDesk 600 G1 MFS, it says that I have managed to update the settings, and when I check the BIOS, the TPM secure has been unhidden and the TPM Management was given to the operating system (two settings I change), but the TPM itself remains hidden.

  It's the release of the BIOS configuration utility (it uses the 2.60.13.1 version, which uses plaintext passwords.  I also tried with the 3.0.13.1 later version that uses password files - same result)

  And after a reboot (where it should activate the TPM), BIOS shows as disabled built-in safety device (see attachment for the image).

  I have tried everything I can think of to get this to activate, including:

  • Different versions of the BIOS configuration utility
  
  
  • Remove the password from the BIOS and the application in the same order as the parameters
  
  
  • Different passwords
  
  
  • Reboot and allowing the machine to start completely to Windows before checking if the setting took effect

  I also tried to add the utility and the commands for an SCCM package and it works directly and as part of a sequence of tasks to see if that makes a difference, but nothing I've done has activated the TPM module.

  I know that the TPM module works, as you can turn it on manually and then Bitlocker can be applied to the machine, but with thousands of devices in our environment, I need to get this job without the need for manual intervention.

  Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?  Or has someone at - he managed to activate the TPM on the SFF of 600 ProDesk G1 using the BIOS Setup utility?  Any ideas / suggestions would be very appreciated!

  This problem has now been resolved by HP.
  
  They provided a replacement motherboard for the test machine I was using that solved this problem. I don't know what kind of motherboard failure could prevent the activation via the script TMP chip but not prevent activation through the BIOS menu, but as a replacement solved the problem, then it must be a hardware failure.

  What model of laptop you have (L630-xxx)?

  Create recovery DVDs and test. You should not wait for a response, just to test it.
  You can also try to start installation of recovery of HARD drive, just to see what will happen.

  Boyfriend sorry but it is not possible to create a recovery disc with the current configuration of your software. The Toshiba Recovery disk contains the factory settings and t, you can integrate additional software to the image.

  If you want a picture of your laptop with your special software, you need to use another program like Acronis image. So you can make an image of your HARD drive with all your settings and software.

• Satellite U300-13U - iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration

  Please can someone help me? I have a laptop U300-13U and that you have installed iTunes on it. However, when I open iTunes I get an error message saying 'iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration and may not play correctly' which is an understatement - it does not at all!

  I uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime, but in vain. I have searched and exhausted the iTunes support boards but have nowhere either. The sound is fine as I can read CDs with no problems at all. The only suggestion I can get is that there may be a problem with the audio device magnet is not Apple and vice versa.

  Does anyone have AN idea at all as to what might be going on here? I'm completely out of my depth, I'm just a simple girl who wants to play his music!

  I don t use iTunes so I m not an expert player but first of all, you must give us some important information:

  -Are you using the factory settings (Toshiba Recovery disk) or your own version of Windows

• The Switch configuration and Wi - fi router in the same network

  Hi team,

  I have here is the configuration currently as below in the image. To describe the same internet cable is connected to a Cisco switch, which is connected to the PC in LAN (wired). A switch output is connected to the entrance of the wireless router Netgear Nighthawk AC 1900 Smart model of WiFi router # R6900. Wireless devices (laptop) are connected by the router.

  Each device has internet access. However, I am unable to run software LAN or unable to share any file of devices connected to the switch to the connected wireless devices. I can't ping any device the device wireless wired.

  Can anyone suggest what are the settings that I should do or what are the steps I should follow that will make wireless and wired devices in the same network.

  PS Plus early I tried the internet connection to the wireless router and then out of the router to pass, which has solved this problem. But slowing down my internet speed in wired devices. So, is it possible to have all devices in the network even with the current configuration?
