  I read your post on your Officejet showing 6600 fax is disabled and wanted to send you my suggestion that might help! I recommend you try the restore to factory settings to see if this will help to clear the error on the printer. Let me know what happens!

  On the printer, select Setup, tools, Restore Factory Defaults, Yes, restart the printer

  Reinstall the Windows Fax Services.  See How to send faxes from a Console of MS Fax using Dell 922

  If you have installed an XP Service Pack (if all goes well, you're up to sp3) since the origin of Windows Installer, stages 6, 7 and 8 will probably be ignored because the installation routine goes and gets the necessary files from C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles.  If you get the files 'necessary' screen mentioned in step 6, use the Browse button to point the installer in C:\Windows\ServicePack files instead of CD player as suggested (the fax have been updated).  If this does not work and the installer complains that specific files cannot be found (for example, fxsapi.dll), files can be compressed in C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles form (search, for example, fxsapi.dl_) and you will have to develop them.

  Note that the Dell 922 does not seem to have built-in fax ability.  Instead, he sends faxes through a fax modem installed on your computer using Windows Fax Services.  Presumably, you have such modem, because you used to be able to send faxes.

  As far as I know that it is a special feature of Fax in Microsoft Word. I put t think it's possible to disable this feature. However, you can visit the Microsoft.com site to find more information about the Fax Wizard.

  'Default' printer can be set to be the 'fax' instead of your main printer.

  In general, if you do not configure the fax - and that you do not accidentally - access you should not have to worry about this.

  You can find more information on fax in the User Guide, Page 62.

  If you have any concerns that 'something' is entered in the configuration of the fax that you ignore, you can check / look at your configuration of the fax machine (as well as all of your facilities to printer) using your EWS link on your printer.

  Click the Setup (the question mark in the middle of the device)

  Scroll to the right until the basic settings Fax is displayed and click OK.

  Scroll to the right until Auto answer appears, and then click OK.

  Change the value to OFF using the right arrow and approve.

  Tap of the printer installation icon, then select Fax Setup.

  Then select advanced fax setup and set the Fax of Confirmation as Off.

  Also ensure that the Fax error report is defined as disabled in the configuration menu of advanced fax even.

  type 'run '.
  Press enter
  Type "control userpasswords2".
  Click OK
  Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

  now, you will not need to enter a password to open a session.

  I need assistance disables the autorun feature in Home Premium Wndows Vsta. I followed the steps described in the Article ID: 967715 on the microsoft Support site only to find that nothing about the registry keys exist on my system. Niether does the utility Gpedit.msc, which refers to article. I need to be able to use this computer to check the features of hard drives for background reading. Unclear content currently on the hard drives and I don't want to autorun to release all inadvertently malware.

• How can I completely disable the history feature in the Lightroom Develop module? It causes the shift, and I just flat don't need.

  I want to remove completely this and several of the supposed required applications that Adobe seems to think I should have forced on my computer to use their products. CC is a joke, but I can't seem to remove without removing lightroom either... How can I remove these things and still not use it I paid?

  You can't turn off the history feature. It is a key element of the program due to the non-destructive editing of LR.

  You cannot uninstall the desktop CC application. However, you can choose not to have to run.
