  Removal of the photos is useless because they reappear just & when you click on the button "Select" to select multiple photos then you delete, the number of photos is immutable & you can't cancel the select menu because nothing will happen, the application crashes shortly after, you come back & is the same as before and the pictures are still there; it applies to all the photos of old & new.

  so whenever you take a new photo, it does not appear on the roll came or anything else that has left as kind of a 'Museum '. I'm not share or synchronize my photos via iCloud as he was called to fill to the brim our storage & all the answers I see online, is "you must uncheck sync on your Mac for the pictures", but:

  Hi, we use to store many files and assets to work outside the same files on different machines. Today, some of the files that I deleted keep coming back. It is only in a specific folder. I have deleted many times (and even tried to delete the whole folder and emptying of archive) and I just can't understand what keeps back them. I am part of a team that uses the creative cloud and to make all users.

  Time machine has been a lifesaver more than once. Especially when all of the files in the current production disappeared from CC earlier this year!

We have a good-sized design team with many major projects constantly on the move and came close to filling of 100 GB of storage in our folder has collaborated in the past.   I agree with Mohdrafi - you can remove safely; However, you should have a more recent backup of your current files just to be on the right side (image FULL weekly backup and an incremental backup every day for an external HARD drive - I've seen too many people get burned when their drive hard breaks down or something worse and then they lose all their precious documents (, photos, audio and other files).  There ARE recovery procedures, but they don't always work, and they don't always get everything (especially if you expect to solve the problem or continue to use the PC in the meantime)- and depending on your version of Vista.  Delete this file will NOT affect the files and settings that you restored using the process.  Could have deleted it hours after that the process has been done (once you have a good backup) and it would have been very well then.  If you have a good backup, I can see no reason whatsoever to keep the file.

  If the normal delete function in Vista doesn't work, try using one of the following free products to remove the file.  Unlocker to: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml or file Assassin http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/). These programs often work when normal functions remove Vista not work correctly.

  Congratulations to the use of Easy Transfer - this is a pretty cool tool isn't it?  Not sure how many threads that we have here people with issues or recoving given him--I saw a lot.  It seems easy on the surface, but when it doesn't work it can become quite complex and aggravating (and I know people who have unfortunately never were able to retrieve their data and settings no matter what we tried).

  I am a windows user and I write little programs in windows using the language of batch processing. So I have a lot of work to do and set up different programs. But I am unable to set the attribute for a file that is accessible or executable but not removable. I mean I have a program and I want to set the attribute for this program unalterable, not removable. I've tried to set attribute with-s option as the attribute value of a file system and warns the user when deleting. But after you click Yes, the file is gone.

  So my question is that is it possible to set the attribute to one or more files to readable but not removable via the batch command prompt?

  I'm NOT sure that has nothing to do with lightroom, except that yesterday my files were all there, now, they are absent.  It could be a hard disk failure.  Its just strange that it affected only the files that I tried to interfere in my lightroom catalog today.

  Well as out of town, I pulled a few thousand photos and them ingested on a daily basis in a new lightroom catalog that I created on my laptop.  Files imported into a USB external drive.  The laptop is win 10.  It is on the latest version of lightroom, CC.  Yesterday, everything was going well with the catalog, disk, and files.  All were there.  The catalogue and the photos were on the same drive.  The laptop was listed as the letter 'g ':

  Once I went back to the office today, I wanted to import pictures to my largest catalog on my desktop.  I have used this external hard drive for all my new photos in 2016.  On this PC, Win 10, the letter of the external drive is also "X:".  I started lightroom in my big catalogue very well.  I chose to import from a different catalog, accessed my X Catalogue outside in the car and started importing without a copy of the files.  This should leave the files in the same location.  It took a little more time I expected to import this catalog.  When I went to the structure of folders inside lightroom, it seemed that all the files have been imported correctly.  But there was a "?" from the folder.  I assumed that I just needed to do a "find" on the X drive as I thought that my lightroom catalog could have been pointing to the G drive.  Locate, but cannot find the files.  I've used windows explore to browse my files and the folders and files were all missing, with the exception of a folder where I shot some photos with a camera, about 100 photos in all.  Thousands of photos from other cameras were all absent.

  So next time, I ran a scan disk and windows came with a message of repair.  The repair said that it worked successfully.  But I looked in the Explorer, the files were still missing.  I ran a scan disk again and no error found.

  I looked in the trash on the desktop and there is no files on this disc.  If the missing files are still missing.  I had not saved the files yet since they were really vacation photos and have no critical and since I was going to save them after that I spent in review on the workstation.  Some are still on the cards and could be retrieved.  But I formatted my main map at least a couple of times and I'm afraid that most would have been crushed and is more viable, even using the card recovery software.

  Before you begin importing today, I don't check the disk to make sure that all my files were there.  There is no error in windows at startup and I don't mind just to check in Explorer or open the 'new' catalog first.

  1. Could Lightroom have somehow deleted files and can they be retrieved?
  2. Assuming that it was a Windows / hard drive error, can anyone recommend a program attempt to recover files lost like that?  Given that the entire folders, sound also lack if the index of the obtained partially erased disc.  But maybe the files are still there.  Then there is a program to search for them?

  Note that the other files on this drive all seem to be good.  The only missing are import of today.

I restarted and then turned off these programs and then opens Firefox. It was as usual, 17.0.1 version not updated. I went to help, on Firefox, click Find updates. Downloading updates, invited to restart Firefox, and after closing Firefox, I got the window that says that he was installing the updates, for the first time for an attempt to update to version 17 or 18.
